Fixing the Forum Fiasco's :: IMP NOTE PG 13 - Page 3

Since everyone is equally outraged, I think we should start planning for the sit down with IF honcho in this thread itself. I vote munchy, harshu, and maxine be in the meeting because they had stuff stolen from them. Also, DT and any other moderators who we think can help. If we set everything up before hand (whose meeting, how, when) and just propose it to the IF admin, they would just have to say yes (cus we won't take no for an answer) and hopefully we can get this sorted out quickly.

I have so much respect for every FF writer out there. It's a real shame they are being victims of plagarism.

I'm glad this post was made, none of this is making any of the authors or prospective authors/siggie makers happy. Like others have said and as how you started Nyrma, it's best if the victims and most active members go to the meeting and get to the best solution there is. These types are problems are only going to discourage the authors, readers, and any member on the forum and eventually start effecting the show (as we've seen by the ratings and such), and the last thing we want is to get these problems to get out of control and effect the show/it's people when they've been working so hard for the fans. I know I'm exaggerating but we really should be prepared for the worst, if someone can plagiarize (which I think is HUGE in a bad way), then support dropping from the show isn't that far, after all I do believe ffs/artwork/posts anything of this forum contributes to the show as much as us watching it.

Thanks for the post Nymra. It's great to have all the issues put together in one post. I think a frank conversation with the head honcho sounds fantastic. It would be nice to talk about these things directly with someone who might be able to do something.

That way the group will be balanced and they can't say we're not being objective.

I say once we finalize the five Representatives, we find out when the five can coordinate and offer the Dev Team a selection of dates and times to pick from.

Ermm...with regards to the team of 5...I could volunteer as someone who hasn't had anything stolen from them (yet!) I don't know whether to be thankful that nobody bothered or depressed that I wasn't considered worth stealing from. (I kid. I kid.)

I do want to say that I appreciate the effort the Mods of this forum make to take action..they do get to it eventually. And while I also understand their limitations, they must make some effort to address our problems. It's pretty much their job to try and be as helpful as possible.

I like the idea of getting a pure reader in the discussion but unless someone wants to volunteer, I don't know who to suggest. As for someone unbiased, I think it's going to be really hard to find a writer who doesn't have some sort of opinion on the situation since most writers are also readers and/or friends of those cheated. But then again, I think it should be up to the main 3 to figure out who else they would want in the meeting with them.
