I believe that shyam loves her so much... and he thought oneday she will love him aswell... when asr came in between he lost his cool ..in my opnion he never loved anjali and he married her for some reason...

Really shyam is such a complicated character!!god so many complicated characters in one serial!!firstly Arnav nd now shyam has also added to the list!!bt no sympathies for him yet...bcos i just dnt undrstnd one thing!hw can smbody not love someone like anjali nd love or lust for someone else!!i think khushi is just his obssession nd nothng else...

exactly my view also...because in indian serial they want villain to be complete black shade thatswhy they make him very cunning and sometime murder his own family member and all...in shyam's case if he is not already married he didn't have to do all the bad things that he had done...in that case he is more suitable to kkg than asr...don't get angry with me ..its my POV...

If u watch the initial episodes, he is actually kind of a cute character...if he wasn't married and a wudbe-serial killer the way he used to handle Khushi's problems and her family and the way he used to be so nice to the Raizada family was really good..his speeches were really smooth and charming..only CVs kept giving us an idea that something was wrong with him..
Plus he is sooo romantic with Anjali!
I truly wish in the end he gets some brain damage and forgets all his creepy ways and loves his wife and child like he shud be doing in the first place!

Yes ! he's not your average villain and that's why I like watching him 'cos he has shades and interestingly complex and complicated.
