The thing is, with Shyam, being such a honored genius, he feels there is no reason to think anything through, and that his plans will be an instant success 😆 He is such a genius, that he doesn't notice the patterns and probabilities of when his plans work, and how likely they are to work. I think the CV's know what they're doing entirely, and anything they show , will surely be very useful to uncover/find out Arnav's past, some other useful piece of information about Khushi/Arnav/Anjali..etc,.. or, of course, the truth.

Shyam is in love with Khushi. Whether the love is legitimate or not is another story. The fact that he was ready to accept her inspite of her being poor, do anything to get her shows that he is in love with her. Ofcourse its a twisted kind of love and I am not condoning it but it is not just about lust. So naturally he will feel bad for her when she is made fun of. I think it is normal human behaviour.
