Yes. something like that. SJ, since I am relatively new to this forum, I will have to ask you - If I am right there was some sort of petition sent to the CVs for some reason some time back. I really don't know any more details of it. Can you please get an idea as to how that was done? We can draft a petition on those lines, attach the handbook and other law statements, if we have any and after we have majority consensus on the issue, we can put down all the names and then send it to them in the same way that the earlier petition was sent.

We need to make women aware of what they are seeing and stop the glorification of dometic violence. But we don't want the chanel to pull the plug or make the PH face legal charges.
Im going to be selfish here and say I don't want the show to end. And it would be worse if we were forced to watch silly comedy to pacify the protesters.
I'd be happy if we can get the message across to them that we are not appreciating what we see in the show right now.

You are right. I don't want the show to stop either. Maybe getting this 'legality' and 'wrong social message' idea directly to somebody in the creative team would be better.
They should be able to understand the implications of this getting out of hand or bigger and hopefully will try to rethink the way they are showing the scenes. Hopefully their creative team will then understand that there is thick line between showing 'angst' and showing violent psychotic behavior.

But from a larger canvas, because I see many people around here feel strongly about the issue, SP, I think should be made aware at some point about this portrayal of romance.
Ideally a turning away of viewers from such shows or lowering of TRPs would tell them that but since that doesn't seem to be happening...

EDITED THE POST ON REQUEST FROM SOMEONE RELATED TO THE SHOW BECAUSE IT TURNS OUT ANYONE CAN USE THE ONLINE LINK TO COMPLAIN AND CAUSE UNNECESSARY HASSLE FOR IPKKND TEAM. I KNOW FOR SURE I DONT WANT ANYONE RELATED TO THE SHOW SUFFER UNDUE DURESS.

I DO REQUEST THE MAKERS OF THE SHOW TO RECIPROCATE BY NOT SHOWING AN OVERLY AGGRESSIVE ASR BORDERING ON ABUSE. IF YOU ARE RELATED TO THE SHOW AND ARE READING THIS, PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH HUMAN RIGHTS DEFINITION OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND PLEASE REFRAIN FROM REPEATED USE OF THIS TACTIC. PEACE

I know I don't want to shutter the show because, it is a good story (without objectionable parts) and MORE importantly, a lot of people's livelihood depends on it. For instance, the spot boys, errand people, lighting, floor management, make up artists - those unsung heroes who never get any recognition, get pittance of a salary but find this as their only source of income.

Misclog Take a bow for this post of yours and I am so glad you had the gumption to do so here.👏

The problem with this forum is that Barun AKA Arnav/ASR is being treated as the Sacred Cow ergo anything written said or heard about him will be treated as violation of something sacrosanct.

He very candidly spoke about the Elephant in the room aka Casting Couch in the industry, kudos to him 👏and it is really none of our business to even contemplate for one second whether he had or had not taken that circuitous route to fame and fortune. He is entitled to his privacy and he certainly does not owe anybody an explanation, definitely not to anyone outside of his immediate circle of family and friends. He is a big boy and is a public figure so yes he knows exactly what to say and when. But the ruckus that was raised here and some of the ugliest things said about the poor SBS anchor really made me cringe. They are far ready to take up cudgels on his behalf even though he has never asked for it than on something more of relevance to our way of living.
The commotion they also created because a picture of his wife was released for valentine was totally uncalled for. For all you know he must have deliberately Okayed the release considering the kind of idiotic fan base he and his wife must be dealing with.

There was one more idiotic thread in a similar vein taking offence on something Sanaya had said about him. Reality check they were 2 friends goofing off and having fun but it got blown way out of proportion here and I thought to myself some folks really need to get a life and soon

I really wish they would expend their energies in more positive manner than some thing as inane as this. I admire Barun Sobti the actor but beyond that I really have no interest or curiosity as to whom or what makes him tick. I love the way he has essayed the character Arnav which is in direct contrast to his real nature and that's about it for me.

So yes a lot of bashing that goes on in this forum is in direct proportion to the actor character and the loonies out there.

Now I hope this wont get shut down because of my candid view😉

I am really happy to be part of this discussion, this thread has really touched on a serious issue we are facing in society. While we've been discussing a song came across my mind which I will like to share, it's a bit old and some people may not know it but it depicts the issue we're upset about. Link below:

Such a gut wrenching song! Why was I having deja vu moments with our show when I was listening this?

This song was released in 1997 but during our discussions and after watching the last few episodes it kept playing on my mind. Maybe because I know Khushi actually loves ASR and she will forgive after everything, but what guarantee is there that he'll always believe her? I really don't like the fact that the dark part of his character is portrayed more than the loving side.

yeah... but I hope she won't be saying 'I fell in love with the wrong man' after a while.
Life always comes with difficulties and if Arnav is going to react the same way as he's doing right now each time something hits him, Kushi is going to have a hard time.
And I feel sad that Arnav did start to slowly change but was struck by this, which resulted in him going back to square one. there is nothing different with how he behaves now and how he did in the first episode.
So will he always return back to his inner traits when something goes wrong?
We thought he changed. But apparently he hadn't.
Will this be like this for the rest of his life?
will Kushi be at the recieving end of his split personality?
I hope there wont be a time when we wont have to sing 'She fell in love with the wrong man'
