i agree..this was just plain ridiculous...they really went overboard this time..on one hand they show ASR is unable to bear khushi's pain on the other hand they show he himself is inflicting the same kind of pain to her.. we would expect our beloved ASR to b chivalrous at least.. she is a girl after all.. offer her the bed ..you sleep on the recliner or vice versa but throwing her out in the cold??!! what was that?..that shows ultimately he can never be a good husband...
i got hooked on to this show recently specially during the sangeet competition and saw all the previous episodes on youtube..however much i love ASR and khushi's character...I really cant accept the scenes where ASR throws khushi off his office window or this one where he throws her out of his room the whole night in the cold..if you really love a person however bad he or she is you wont be able to do that( i think) .. they are showing him as inhuman.. so what, after everything gets sorted out if they ever have a problem in there married life ..(which is happens even in happily married couples life) he will react the same way?..the CV's better know where to draw the line..arrogance is one thing.. and domestic violence is something else..there a young viewers of this show ..this is just passing the message to them that whatever your handsome prince does its okie as in the end he loves(?) you and bear it with your mouth shut!!!..hope somebody is listening to us...

its 2 am in chicago, and call me crazy, but i am sitting here and posting away. tomorrow is a project deadline and I almost called my boss whose name is Anthony, ASR while addressing him in an email, all the while I am upset and twisted about his actions (ASR, not Anthony's). This is sickening me!!! LOL!!!

guys, taking an anticipatory bail, because you know when ASR melts, its coming - the I-Told-you-So, look-who-is-drooling-now.

What ASR did in the early days of the show also qualified as abuse, but khushi was not his wife then and she could retaliate or stay away from him. but the situation has gotten worse. she is married to him, and coerced into this relationship by him. The equation is even more precarious and damaging.

I hope you will read the post earlier on Domestic violence link, it has some good pointers for signs of abuse.

I read the handbook. Now I've completely understood what constitutes as domestic violence. And yeah, what arnav did is totally that.
Because of my limited knowledge on this subject, if I were to have ever gone through something like this then i guess i wouldn't have even realised. But now I know and I can protect myself from such stuff. But what about girls who are younger than me, and watching this show and are getting influenced by the stuff shown here, which I'm sure at least some of them are if not all. And if their boyfriends/husbands do what arnav does, they won't even think of it as domestic violence forget taking action against it. Wow, that's a really scary thought.

Just wanted to point out a glaring contrast on the real Barun and how the character of ASR is.

Today's Star parivar shoot showed a small clip of Sanaya and Barun in conversation with each other. And Barun, the thorough gentleman that he is, is holding a guitar upside down in his hand to shield sanaya's face from sunlight and wind. Now that is a true gentleman.

@misclog- BRILLIANT!! 👏👏👏

Just caught on with part of the discussion and i'm honestly shocked at ppl.. mature married women still justifying his behaviour. TBH i'm neither.. im only 16.. living a sheltered life...not seen much of "reality" but i can still see how wrong and inhumane ASR was on friday. Maybe its because of my biasness towards Khushi... but in no way can ASR actions be justified!

Yes Smriti, and not just that.. y'day TT posted a video of the grahpravesh scene being shot. As we all know, Sanaya wasn't too well, and thus either Barun or Akshay would carry her back to the door for every retake. 😍😍 If only, ASR was 10% of them.

You know what guys.

Not sure if we can stop this nonsensical track now because a lot of money is riding on it probably, but let us petition for a disclaimer to be shown on the screen whenever such scenes are shown in this show.

The disclaimer should read - "What is being shown at the moment should not be followed in the name of romance in real life because it legally amounts to 'domestic violence/abuse' and anybody reported to be practicing it is committing a criminal offence and can be subject to prosecution if found guilty"

This is especially important for this show because it actually passes such stuff as romantic. Unlike many other social-issue based shows where they show it to make a point about the 'issue'.

Many other shows on SP right now require such disclaimers, but I can speak of this show only because this is the show I watch. It feels regressive to keep watching the mutilation of social values that I uphold and not do anything about it.

(Note - The word "PIG" is analogy for domestic abuse and does not, i repeat does not refer to any character in the show, leads or otherwise. please refrain from using it against characters. thanks!!!
And although I so want to call what ASR did much worse names, let common sense and decency prevail)

I have yet to see the episode, but the WU itself made me cringe,so I don't think I can go thru it.
What made me cringe more was all the posts justifying this.
Talk about underlying passion, and how awww it is going to be when he kisses and makes up (sic)
Someone had written that khushi manhandled ASR the previous night. For heaven's sake, the girl was blackmailed into marriage, disowned by her entire family, and she was rightfully demanding answers which the guy was not providing! What do you expect her to do? grovel and touch his feet?
Another post said, since ASR loves her he has the RIGHT (?) to treat her so!
Yet another takes the cake - since ASR loves her he carried her to bed, and NOT KICKED HER AWAKE! This hit me in the gut.
While still trying to understand the mindset of some members, and failing, I was truly depressed and in the midst of all such posts, this thread comes as a life- saver. It was heartening to note that so many members are against the current characterization of ASR. Just when I thought it is hopeless, between the CVs pathetic attempts at TRPs and a section of the populace lapping it up since the role is essayed by a 'drop dead gorgeous' actor... This thread revives hope. ALL IS NOT LOST. REASON, COMMON SENSE,SENSE OF RIGHTS DIGNITY AND SELF-RESPECT IS STILL ABOUND AND NOT IN SHORT SUPPLY.
Loved all the comments here. If this be Naari Andolan, then THREE CHEERS TO US! AND ALSO TO THE MODS FOR REOPENING THIS THREAD.
And btws, acc to some ensuing promo , ASR blackmails khushi that if she leaves home, he will leave PAYAL home. And ppl are 'oh sooo excited ' again! Get real CVs , I mean this guy doesn't own Payal, I know this part is not related to this thread, but just posting to show people's reaction, whatever ASR does is accepted!

There are lots of members who are female but they support whatever the male character of the show do. that's what alarming, i mean v should not forget the definition of right n wrong while watching. He is not a God that whatever he do is right and we should appreciate it, forget about it that he will regret in future, whatever he is doing now can NEVER be justified even if he regrets.I also made a pole here AsR's behaviour by asking supporters if they justify he is right then do comment how will they feel if they are thrown out on the first wedding night how will they fee, no one tried to comment about that. He regrets but not he still didn't let her in and thrown a blanket on her like a beggar still people are saying he is right i m unable to digest it😕
