I believe Arnav acted out of guilt and partially out of his love for his brother. He acknowledged (atleast to himself) that he was in the wrong and he is acting upon HIS need to set it right. That his brother is in love with the collateral to his misdirected anger, is an added incentive. But he is primarily easing his conscience, IMO.

The only gripe I have with the creatives is yet another reminder of the difference in their background. He is a sophisticated man of the world who pulls a chair for the lady while she doesn't even share his phonetics let alone sophistication. They need to somehow bridge this gap to make is as real as the characterizations. Just my opinion!! I loved the episode, the performances and am looking forward to this track, cuz this has no room for the slime and the grime of the show!!!

Hi Renu...Sorry for the half assed answer before...yes...he did acknowledge to himself about being wrong...You are right...as I said...I am feeling as if he is not fair and consistent ...thats why I am a bit upset with him today...😃

In fact I do agree with you that they are bringing the class difference in again so...soon...She is our Eliza Doolittle for sure...but as you can see from my previous pot...I have my own gripes with Arnav's lack of sophistication on matters that are equally important...

This is what he asked Akash. If you remember few days back he questioned khushi's decision of engagement by saying how is she going to spend her life with a person she doesn't love?

So even though ASR says he doesn't believe in love but he indirectly asked Akash whether he loved Payal..If yes then I will do anything for love ie in his words Seal the deal by hook or Crook..😊

My question ... has he stopped to ask himself this question about La? I think not ... so then maybe he needs to, or someone needs to ask him pronto ...

Alternative thought ... he has ... he knows the answer, he knows he's made the worst mistake of his life, and he doesn't want either Khushi or Akash to make the same mistake ... Akash for sure ... Khushi, ummm ... was it upset for her, or anger that she could get engaged to someone else ... he still doesn't know himself!

Loved the epi...and I agree with ur ratings...
While v expected a comedy show, things changed and it turned out b realization time...
Arnav...this man really has to turn his mind away from money...
And also I loved that it was Payal who threw the truth at his face, the victim herself...its more effective...
I din't like Kh n Arnav barging in, while two were talkin (khud toh tanhayee main sab kuch kar lete hain doosron ko baat karne tak nahi chodthe!) but loved when Payal-Akash told them off!
ASR n business...Akash's confused "kis deal ke baare main baat kar rahe hain" was hilarious
And Arnie's green face " Zaroor apne fiancee se baat kar rahi hogi" and "kiss se baat rahi thi " thru gritted teeth was awesum
And coming to ur question, I think he does not want 2 prove her wrong...He regrets for his actions and also wants to be a gud bro dat was evident from his question "Won't u regret ur decision in future?" ...
May be a combination of both guilt n concern
So I think he really wants his brother 2 get love of his life (though I don know how n when it started 😆)

In his case as he has already mentioned,He won't make anyone his life. He will run away from the person he loves.

You are right he knows the answer for his own question. He doesn't want anyone to control his life. Now khushi is kind off controlling his life so by marrying LA he knows he'll get back the control Khushi has on him.

I don't think he felt bad for Payal as much as feeling bad for what he did to Khushi on that Fashion show day which led to Payal's marriage getting cancelled. Don't think he is doing the match-making for Payal's sake at all. he is doing it, most importantly for Akash. Then subconsciously maybe because Payal is Khushi's sister .😛

Sushi... I had missed your previous response too😛 I check off email notifications so unless i check back in, I don't get to read the responses!!

By sophistication I meant the ability to carry yourself in an society with respect to etiquette and manners. Whether or not he chooses to act sophisticated is a part an parcel of his characterization. While in Khushi's case, even though I feel that she is more cultured and respectful in her conduct, sophistication was not a part of her upbringing. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just different. Am i making sense???

But I agree with you that there are major inconsistencies in his behavior especially in matters related to Khushi!! I guess he loses his bearing when it comes to her!😉

Shwets ... I was sooo happy about that - Payal's broken marriage part ... it's time that the cv's started pulling some threads in ... I said on the trp's thread that I felt they were getting too complacent with the ratings and were happy coasting ... hopefully they will pull their socks up and get a move on now. They have been careful to put in lots of links and loops, but it would all be meaningless if they weren't brought out properly.

as for pointing out things ... I think this means I have way too much time on my hands these days ... or my IPK obsession is getting wayyy too unhealthy!! 😆

Loved the epi..and loved all the discussions here. Nothing much to add..I too feel his action to help payash is a result of his guilt conscious and care for his family. Maybe he realised just how he had disrupted a whole family by his actions in the same way as the scattered pearls. As you pointed out Sush..hope he realises in time the value of losing kushi just to gain control.
