Okay here goes:

I don't think there's anyone on the forum who must not have liked the epi today.

I loved it too.

We got to see a very different side of Arnav today - his brotherly love for Akash.

Don't get me wrong, but I've always felt that Arnav always stresses on his love for Di and is extremely business - like and sometimes too formal with the others in his house.

Many eons ago when they showed him ready to leave the house for Lavanya, I was appalled at his behavior and wondered about how wrong his priorities are...

But, gradually we got to see the real Arnav behind that ruthless business tycoon exterior.

Shwets...his behavior is far from consistent...His priorities are also not consistent...some times he does untinkable things for his family sometimes he hurts them and pushes them aside like anything...I am at a place where Khushi is...He is not making much sense...If he was standing in an election here...people would justifiably label him as Mr. flip flop...or should we say Mr. anti whatever Khushi believes in (fill in he blank😆)

Today's episode was a revelation of sorts of how loving Arnav actually is..seeing him uncomfortable and disturbed for his brother's sadness showed a totally new angle to his personality.

I was totally sure he'd pursue Payash union issue just to prove Khushi wrong...but, I was proved wrong.

Sush, in response to your question, as to why he's playing matchmaker, I think its a combo -

its mainly because he loves and cares about his younger brother and wants to get him his favorite candy - he did not bring up Payal's aukaat after coming to know that Akash is truly in love with her.

I was so sure he'd bring that up (he did mention it in the cafe...but that was before the entire truth was out) and vehemently oppose it - but he simply omitted it. It does not matter to him. All he wants is his brother to be happy

Secondly, he did feel guilty for being responsible for Payal's tooti hui shaadi - yes, this Rakshas does have a conscience!! He proved it. I mean who's Payal?! He should not even be bothered about her. Yet there was a look of instant realization and regret on his face when payal revealed the truth. And also because he remembered how Khushi had pleaded with him and told him the truth, but he did not believe her and proceeded to unknowingly cause upheaval in the Gupta family's lives.

I am sure he's not doing it to satisfy his ego or to prove Khushi wrong. He's doing it both for his brother and to set things right with Payal too.

I wish I could be as sure Shwets...

Now the question about him marrying La - its clear its a deal to him. He himself does not realize at yet that he loves Khushi - heck he does not know what love is!!

That is why he got ready to get married to La. It seemed like the best deal to make...

He's become a successful tycoon by finalizing deals, getting profits and thinking of everything in terms of business only.

Totally agree with you!! So what is it about Khushi's deal that he does not like...that she speaks back to him..and does not always agree with him...??

Only Khushi can make him realize about his emotions which are there inside him, yet he's unaware of them.

Khushi herself is unaware of her own feelings - they both need to interact more and spend more time together to make each other realize their feeling for each other.

About ASR's decision to speak with Khushi regarding Payal and Akash I think it was definitely both guilt and care for his brother combined. But for some reason i am leaning more towards the guilt side...ASR is kind hearted and not only does he feel bad for saying all those mean things to Khushi but i feel he truly regrets having been the cause for Payal's canceled marriage...And then seeing his bro all sad it kind of adds to his guilt.

MY take is that Arnav felt guilty that HE and his refusal to listen to Khushi on that night in Lucknow played a DIRECT part in the break up of Payal's wedding! At least NOW he KNOWS for sure that K was telling the truth!

He also feels bad that Akash is sad, and he wants to "close the deal" for him if this is what he REALLY wants! Remember Anjali is married to Shyam? HE is not rich either! So it appears that all this "gold digger" stuff is mostly a defense mechanism and maybe something Arnav reserves for females?

Having said that MAMI used to be a servant of the Raizada's before her ASSENT to the status of Mrs Raizada by hoodwinking the Uncle! BUT we NEVER see Arnav treat her with anything other than respect!

SO this "class conciouse" thing is a little conflicting, and a bit in-consistant! He ALWAYS brings up "Aukaat and Hesiyat" with Khushi! Probably to make her dislike him and to upset her because SHE effects him too much!

We saw that in the dressing room scene! HE was drawn to her and came to her like a moth to a flame and when he tired to touch her and she backed away... he attacked her by bringing up the price of the sari!

SO it's all a bit up in the air! I think he wants to be a GOOD brother, and also right a wrong at the same time! Hence the support for PAYASH!

Either way... LOVING this track away from the "MAHA FOOLS of RM"!

I'd say some huge realization on his part... Hit him like a ton of bricks didn't it? He's been wrong about her all along, his ill feelings towards her were unfounded, his belief that she lied from the get go has crumbled, their mostly hate/hurt filled journey so far was kick started by him, and now it's come full circle and devastated a member of his family.

That's a lot to digest for one brief encounter in a cafe. 😆 Still, I love how he always remains a doer.. Positive or negative, he's not one to sit idle and just let things happen. And, a voluntary step in the right direction can only be applauded. Besides, I don't think he's ever going to want to piss Payal off again... I could swear he's a little scared of her. 🤣

CVs always keep ASR memory short. as you said the very next moment ASR said i am always right 😆

i do not think it was a big realization too.
1. he was guilty of breaking payals marriage
2. i think he felt bad for akash because he said doosri baar bhi mana kardiya 😭 but liked the way ASR asked are you sure you want to live with her for your life.
reason may be anything but for ASR decision has to be firm.
i think thats why his decision to marry blah is conscious one now.
though very often he does fall of flat because of that.
but he will try to maintain that decision .
3. of course kushi said no.
Arnav has always making decisions which is most unconsciously
kushi driven 😆

so it will be no surprise when ASR married kushi in anger or to save her 😳

yeah i think payash will give a contradictory love couple completely reverse of ARhi 😆
i hope ASR take love lesson from akash to woo kushi or simple to do thinks for kushi when she is angry 😍

And you pointed out how he said he is always right..omg didn't even relate that with his guilt from before...guess he is just saying that in front of Khushi but inside he knows he is wrong!!

but OMG one thing i totally loved..how he was annoyed that she might have been talking to her fiance!! 🤣 i loved the jealous Arnav there!! and finalizing the deal...looking forward to the handshake tomorrow and the sparks and dhak dhaks.😆

What does ASR stands for, is an interesting question. I was pondering over this myself too. For a man jumping into 'aukaad' lecture every other hour, he agreed to the alliance pretty soon, right? And for a man as egoistic like him, he called KKG again and again even after being refused by her at the first attempt.

I don't think he was driven by guilt. Yes, he was guilty but what moved him was Aakash's sadness. And as far as the trait never been shown in the serial before, well, I guess Aakash never asked for a candy before, did he? 😆

I think ASR is someone whose mission in life is to keep his family well provided, he makes sure they get whatever they want. We witnessed how luxurious life the ladies of the RH leads. It took Anjali & Nani 2 second to decide presenting 200 women sarees on Satsang without any occasion. He got Mami the jewelry set despite Nani's anger.

All in all, I think his family's happiness is his primary concern. So the status and class didn't even occur to him when he understood that Aakash really wanted to be with Payal. At least that's what I love to believe about his character.

What intrigued me was however his questions to Aakash, "Could you spend your whole life with her? You won't regret tomorrow, would you?"

Now, if he's so much sensible about life and relations when his brother is concerned, why is his own life in such a mess? Why hasn't he asked himself the question, "Would I regret marrying La tomorrow?"

If he had asked, I bet his whole system would scream 'Yes, I'd regret' to him.

Lol, I didn't realize I wrote so much, let's see how the CVs weave out the track...😆
