Agree with you that Shlok did not tap the plate , only NA and Varad. But have they shown Shlok ask for some more food like NA or Varad had too. Was fit to show that Anjlai and Sojal were not looking at NA and Varad's plate and so they had to bring in their attention, where as Astha put more food in to Hslok's plate before it was finished.? Shlok is better and he hates the way Anjali does this drama on the did ign table , so he purposely does not do it.

No he didn't ask for anything but was looking at Aastha every now and then with those big eyes. Aastha on the other hand, doesn't even wait for him to ask for anything. Is this the couple in hate-relationship?😛

Did anyone notice Varads face in the offscreen pati pooja segments, he looks unhappy. There is more to him than whatever is portrayed so far. And if he is that nice, why doesn't he take up the cause of his own battered sister?

Sorry yaar , I meant the same like you, I meant Shlok never asks for food and Astha puts it before he has to ask .So are Sojal and Anjali not looking at Varad and NA 's plates to see if they are empty.?
So while serving food the basic rule is once you see that something is getting over you immediately try to put that in the plate and if the person does not want it he says no. Although all this does not happen anymore or may if the CV s are showing it is happening . Also I or for that matter my mom or grandma also never heard of this pati Pujan. Vat savitri puja yes, but no pati Pujan, I fact we do not touch the husband's feet since he and you are equal, you are his Ardhangini. So considering pati paremshwar is what Anjali is trying to teach here. Actually husband touches your feet while putting the toe rings.

Nice catch..will look again..
Varad always has indifference to customs..he was not in Satyanarayana puja too,,
He was not intrested in first Satyanarayana puja of shlok comming day.
Varad never was shown in praying...he doesn't believe customs..and he might of voiced out ..but was ruled out like shlok was when asked for jyothi..
Once varad tried to interfere when shlok and Anjali was having an argument or Aastha resignation letter..but Anjali stopped him to talk a single word..

These connecting dots says he was ruled out for voicing out. So only keeping mum...Sojal is also selfish so no way of voicing out,,..changes Aastha making is making him happy to by shlok,.

didn't notice him in the segment much but his character in the show seems to have starting trouble. He happily follows if someone else leads.

Rituals turned for family can be said as customs of family like aloo..
So only..the traditions and rituals and customs are diffrent..
The same ritual in Andhra is done after 7 th day of marriage..we have to eat in hubby's plate..that's it ..no seperate puja.again it's not ritual like uptan or padwa it's only family based customs...the first day cooking and serving..the SR puja..the legs washing..the dowry and the yearly allowances for every festivals are rituals ..but doing sowbhagya vrat ..waking up early morning eating before sunlight..
At the end of the day ..call aged married woman..serve them food once done eat from each plate or plantain leaf on Dana, later wash their hands and clean their leafs...we get sowbhagyam..
This is not in my family customs only. My in-laws customs..being a little modern ate in from my aunty. Plate only..

Yep my hubby up me toe rings and my SIL also??actually we have two sets one on second finger the other on the next to little finger.
The little finger one will be removed after one year by SIL
And the new set again by hubby..

So wried cusotms of family..

Suchi..what can we do this cusotms...

I think slowly some of these are going away and I am happy that if they do not make sense they should go away. If they make sense and you want them then you should do them , but this should never be a force. I did not wear the nose pin because I do not have a hole in my nose. Nothing happened which was good. Nobody troubled me or said anything. I thing it should be your choice about what you want to do , not make people abuse you in the name of traditions .

I think this twisted serial has made all our minds also twisted 😕 I feel v r over analyzing. Varad seems 2 b a decent guy. But few things i ve observed about him:

1. He is passive. Even if he sees injustice around him he is unperturbed. as long as his small cozy world is not affected he doesn't speak or interfere with things happening around him.
2. unlike shlok he seems 2 b aware of the true NA behind the mask. coz i ve never seen him talk 2 NA. so i think he knows bt NA & tats y he maintains a distance frm him.
3. wen he doesn't like something he doesn't act to prevent it but at the same time he definitely shows his displeasure. eg not working in NA's business since as the elder son he is the obvious choice 2 take over the mantle but he has clearly refused. also he showed his anger 2 anjali & na wen they unnecessarily ill treated kavya.
4. ppl may mistake him as being weak but he is actually v strong. its just tat he chooses his battle carefully. it must not ve been easy 2 take up a separate career against NA but he did tat. similarly in jyothi's case he clearly went against anjali & supported jyothi.
5. he likes & respects genuine ppl. tats y he is not pleased with sojal but seems 2 like astha. its not bad intentions. just tat he doesn't like fake ppl & hence he is not close 2 any1 in the family.

Over all a person who is capable of fighting for a good cause & against injustice. But aft yrs of being suppressed by NA & his tool Anju he chooses his battle clearly & supports ppl wen really required. That's y at important points he has supported Jyothi (coz he really loves his sister) & Astha since astha made his kid happy something which sojal never did.
