You may be true..

NA behaviour not interested in house traditions and customs and even events says he has so other outer thing going on..you know looking for happiness and sharing love..

Varad for his own happiness selfish...had made daughter smile in happiness and seeked his happiness..so Aastha was reason.

NA for his status dignity happiness selfish...had made daughter live in hell.

How can Aastha deal this,

Have to see what they have in twists..this Thursday is 75 episode.

Anajli praying god made me a wreck more..helpless or accepting customs.,

Shlok smiling seeing Aastha fear and cries ...helpless choosed the romance to stop the cries and inner turmoil of Aastha..but he is buring inside. We can say he is not happy when he said no one can understand shlok Agnihotri,.felt sad for them...

That's also another common aspect in family one getting more attention the other doesn't..

Pooja can fit in here..maybe something not liked in family left..

Hey Lachii,

I do not think Varad and Shlok have sibling rivalry. I think Varad understands Shlok very well and he will help him . Varad senses Shlok's discomfort like you said Ajju could guess that something was wrong with Astha. So Varad has guessed something is wrong between Astha and Shlok and that he knows his brother very well, so the HM package.

in one of the episodes(30th august), NA taps his plate at dinner table as an indication for Anjali to serve more. Varad does exactly the same. That scene might have been there to show some resemblance between Varad and NA. He is not abusive like NA but he is selfish like him I feel. As long as something doesn't affect him personally, he doesn't care to raise his voice against it.

I do not know if that shows resemblance because Shlok will also do the same. In many houses people do not speak while eating and so if they need something they tap the plates. I have seen in this old Marathi films . So this is the way of men in such backward houses behave. So Shlok, Varad, NA all do the same. The same reason women do not sit with them to eat. They are there to serve and the women then eat the left over in their husband's plates. They cannot even ask for more. I am really horrified if such regressive families really exist in the modern times. Want a shame .

He is in the media field. He is a shrewd person and the field he belongs is related to criticizes the situation, finding the hidden truths and the ability to look beyond the apparent.

I am unable to believe that he is ignorant of what is going on around him. I believe he knows much more than shlok not only about his father but also about shlok himself.

I do not believe he is eyeing aastha...I think people like agnis are not driven by emotions except may be shlok to some extent...

Nice post on Varad

I think Varad is a positive character and he will remain like that. He may know the reasons regarding Shlok's behaviour and may want to help his brother work out things with his wife Astha.

If Varad is unable to help Shlok or Astha due to NA he will not cause them any problems to them.

in that same epi Shlok was also present at the table but he did not do the same thing. Varad doesn't say anything when Anjali prevents Kavya from eating with men but Shlok was shown fuming.

we have also seen varad fuming at many occasions...when kavya was punished and when sojal was made to clean the mess on floor

when did varad spoke for something that personally affected him?

he did not speak even for kavya when she was punished

the only time he raised his voice was when aastha took the intiative!!

so what does this mean? is varad a weak personality and needs support ...if support given only then can assert himself??

no one speaks in NA's presence and no one goes against him...

NA has the last say in every thing

No there were no direct hints about sibling rivalry, but that reporter on the backstage was creepy, I felt that guy was planted by Varad. Later on Varad told Shlok that people will forget this news, being in the news industry how could he say that as newspapers exist forever, they dig up the past when something new happens. That incident made me feel that may be Varad is trying to bring down Shlok in front of Baba.

I don't think Shlok is aware that Varad is not happy about how Baba treats them differently.
