UPDATE 12/2/13 PAGE 6

As Varad is given more screen space, the question arises

trust / not trust

no agnihotri is as he seems like

although i am 50% on it...

i don't trust varad as yet.

there is a loving father and a good person deep down

who is varad??

keep low profile----know a lot---notices everything around him ----do not meddle in other people affair----does his job quietly---no attention seeker----to the point---

(he himself in the pooja scene first two episodes said that he does not like attention) why???

he knows his father's reality(abusive nature???) and covers for him in media/public...just like anjali does at home...

he is not callous as his father

being masked comes naturally to varad and niranjan as they do not have to put a lot of effort to maintain the mask

niranjan the mask of affection

varad the mask of indifference

as for anjali and shlok, they are emotional and have to make effort to try to keep their masks for their motives and remain conscious of their masks

The current mask is varad..shlok under the mask ..Aastha taught as varad and we connected that varad for good reasons is masked too..today the sudden change of talking in family says that he has something hidden too...

Astha mistook Shlok for Varad today when he was wearing the mask. Is Astha going to think Varad is helping her when it will actually be Shlok helping her behind the mask of Varad as she has no trust in Shlok now?

my POV

i feel aastha is tilting towards NA and varad...but thanks to shlok she would be hesitant to trust them on face value now...as aastha learns to doubt and looks deeper into people around her, she will find the real shlok too...

yup...the scene where he puts his hand on aastha's head was so sincere...but he was studying her expressions..he is fishy, knows a lot...says too little...

i too wish he is a friend

i got confused with varads character when he kept mentioning the party was aasthas idea...was he trying to get her in trouble...or make some other point...think we will see his character slowly unfold

i like varad right now

maybe he is is nice or maybe there is a grey shade to him as well

or maybe a suprising secret of his comes out in the future

he has never raised his voice in the household and has no position in the house...may be that is why he is finding excuses like he repeatedly said

i have already invited guests...so that the party be accepted because of public image ...and NA consented for his image

he also put all the blame on aastha...may be some secret agenda or may be because he like everyone else thinks that shlok will do whatever aastha says...though i don't think varad is unaware of ashlok situation

Very nice post Lachii and yes Varad may have an agenda too and NA does depend on him when it is a question of the media. In the very last scene when NA walks out after saying yes to the party, Varad and NA exchange glances for a second? am I reading too much , I do not know, but may be Varad has a plan too and he will use Shlok as a shield . But usually Varad is blessing, so hope he is a blessing it least in disguise , if not obvious. . Yes and you are correct, Astha is leaning towards NA and Varad and Shlok will again make think deeper about their actions and teach her that all is not what it seems to be. A naive Astha still learning to recognize the wolves in sheep's clothing in this cunning world. Looks like she will fall many times before she climbs back.
