Agreed. In season one too when she says ' aap sirf nafrat ke layak hai ' , there was a fleeting expression of hurt and shock on his face. A ' did YOU just hurt me ' kind of expression. Despite all the atrocities he did, I felt bad for him. That was an amazing transformation. Before and after that , it was pure anger. But that was so subtle that you will mostly miss it if you are not someone who pays concentration on minute things. I guess that's the reason a set of people say he cannot act.😆 But I can vouch for his skills because at that point of time I was not even a fan of the show or the actor.

Barun has a magnetic appeal... his acting is not just about entertainment...its about the art of acting...the variations he shows for whichever emotion are so apt yet, masculine...his expressions convey a meaning that reaches the heart...
from showing headache, to winking, to tedhi smile, to arrogant salute, to being romantic, to being smitten, to showing pain, anger, remorse...he feels what he has to act and the entire body language changes ...

but still am waiting for some exceptional scenes by him this season...in season 1, the gazebo sorry scene, holi scene, diwali scene etc were outstanding...but this show has just started...hopefully we will get a lot more...

And I must say..he has come a long way ...not sure if he likes lengthy dialog delivery..the monologues he does are amazing now...

I wish whoever from cast and crew are reading these posts about Barun show these to him..he needs to know how much we (his people) appreciate his work and look forward to seeing it...

True 👏
He has his own beautiful and powerful style of acting. That art of telling without telling. He just lets a plethora of emotions sink in with a single glance that go beyond what words could ever express. How he seamlessly tend to switch between acting styles depending on the the kind of psychological and emotional vulnerability it demands.

There is no actor like BS...Bus ..PERIOD !!!!

Oh yes I remember that
He does it all so subtly
Does not give OTT expression
So some people find it hard to see the emotions
But yes even when in the wrong
He makes you root for him

So well said
He can emote so well
He does not need words at all
Just his eyes are more than enough

He does not need lengthy dialogues now
A simple monologue does the trick

Classic case of a lazy-dumb-arse-sister.

Apne hi Akka ke thread pe...lets say, probably the last one to comment. Cheers to me!!!

That being said, regarding the post, you've had me at the title, Akka.
It indeed takes a Barun to do what Barun does.

I am not saying there aren't any actors who cant act as good as Barun. No. I am just saying that, Barun belongs to that pedestal of actors, whom we take up as an example to compare.

Two of the most phenomenal actors of our millennium, the ones that I really admire and respect for their exemplary work: Morgan Freeman and Meryl Streep; have time and again said give quite wonderful quotes regarding their profession. But the ones that have held me bound are:

It [acting] is not about how loud you act, but rather how true you stay to it. One should let the stillness and subtlety do the talk. That's what makes an actor a magician.
-Morgan Freeman.

Acting is not about being someone different. It is finding similarity in what is apparently different, and then finding myself in there.
-Meryl Streep.

Dont you think Barun's acting walks along these lines? I do. I've always did.
I've loved the freshness of his acting. Of the detailed perception he has of his characters. Of the grip and wisdom he has, as to when to be what he is needed to be. Subtle yet powerful. Still but all over the place.

And with time, he is all but evolving into a better and much better master of his art. His finesse and precision, his command and control, over both his character and the screen space is simply beyond commendable!

It indeed takes a Barun.
