What is the point of this show?
Why does Star plus still allow it to air
Does Gul Khan watch what she is dishing out?
Why is Barun still in this show?
I feel bad for Shivani, she is an innocent in this mess
Sanaya has had a lucky escape

And your point is?

PS: Sanaya is no way associated with my question. Why have you brought her in?😕

Thanks for writing up.

I would like to clarify that my questions are only questions. Query. I have not at all tried to implement that there is no chemistry or no plot or no content.
Yes I don't find any of them up to the mark, but I not at all am negating their existence.
What I am asking is in Barun's absence, would you put up with all the flaws and continue watching.

I guess I have been widely misunderstood.

No wouldn't watch a show Barun or otherwise, if the plot is shoddy and the screenplay and editing is all over the place and of there is absolutely no spark between the leads.

BUT and its a very big BUT!! at the moment this show is doing really well. You speak of flaws , but what flaws my friend. You mean the OTT scientific craziness, Haan toh teek hai , its not the main backbone of the story is it. I am sure with time they will stop with this madness once word spreads that viewers are not enjoying them.
As for the show , i am enjoying every bit of it. The chemistry between the leads is sizzling and we still have Shikha and veers story to start.
Yes Barun maybe a reason why a lot of us have started watching , but he is not going to keep us hanging in here till the end. The show will have to find its feet.

Why are you asking if we will continue to watch inspite the numerous flaws. Questions like that will surely bring in a lot of negative feedbacks
I am unable to see any major flaw since week 3 . And as far as a few unbelievable sequences are concerned , well out hor shot barun and the beautiful shivani are making up for it with too hot to handle romantic moments. Like on Friday , i didn't like that pigeon madness, but the roka scene was soo beautiful that it made up for everything.

So the answer to your question again, yes i started watching as Barun was one of the reasons .
I wouldn't have continued watching post 3 months had the story and chemistry not stayed up to mark.
But since everything has improved by leaps and bounds , i am hooked to the TV , so much so that i can't wait to watch tomorrows episode. Not only because i want to see Barun . But because i want to see how he clears his name, what will Indrani have to say abt it. I want to see how he finds out it was chandini who made the video and what he does with her once he invites her to his room. And i will continue watching the show as i want to know how Advay will reveal PP true intentions and how he will prevent this wedding from happening. How will the story between Veer and shikha develop and how will Advay realise veer is his bro and when and how will chandini find out that Advay is actually her Dev. When and how will they reveal Indranis true face. and what really happened 16 years ago.

SO i have many questions and i will be here till all the answers are revealed. In the meanwhile if they keep showing the two leads locking eyes and brushing against each other with Rabba ve playing in the BG !! OMG!! well i will surely be in heaven and will have no complaints about it. So no flaws as far as i am concerned.
If any flaws crop up, i will come back to let you know what i plan on doing then
😃.
Until then Cheers ,bye

As far as criticism and appreciation is concerned, I have done both and as per my experience, the forum is biased towards positivity. I have received around 20 hate mails for posting in forum. They were essentially harmless post and were fun take on happenings of show. But I am branded of being a closet IPK3 basher. Brand is a confusing thing

So the gist is you're here because of her fact that Barun is doing IPK3.

Thanks for response.

Quick Q: Are you new to this fandom?

The reason I asked that is, I've been here for 10 years and have been a part of this fandom right from the beginning. No Barun fan/fans will ever send a hate PM like that to you. Definitely not 20 of them and definitely NOT for the kind of posts you are making, which tend to be mostly neutral. So I would definitely take those PMs with a boulder of salt, if I were you. 😊

@Bold: Not to sound rude, but I am appalled at this statement, especially given the fact that you are around the forum quite a lot. If you are so inclined and have 30 mins, please go through the first 20 pages of this forum right now. The negative posts get 100s of comments and 10k+ views whereas the few positive ones get 10-20 comments and less than 1000 views.

I digress.

Now to answer your Qs.

Yes, here for Barun. Watching him act is a treat.

Here for Gul's fantastic ability to cast the right people. She's a star maker. No doubt.

Here because this was promised to be a intense love story and I love the fact that this is not a saas-bahu saga. Willing to overlook the shortcomings just for this fact. So effing tired of watching kitchen politics and evil MILs who only care abt separating her DIL from her Son, irrespective of the fact that her Son happens to love that girl. And the girl happens to be a nice human being. Never understood that concept. 😕

Well let's agree to disagree on our take on flaws.
I see flaw in screenplay, direction and character orientation as of now.
I too am watching it for now and waiting for the revenge saga to unfold.
Cheers

And here comes the first one. 😆

And I am surprised you didn't question her as to why she is replying to your post when she claims she is not watching the show and whatever she knows about it is hearsay? 😕

I guess you will soon find out why Depthi (ToxicLove) is right.

Yes totally - the promos interested me enough to see the story of a person who wants to take revenge but yet falls in love with the person he is supposed to destroy. i would have given the show a shot even if it was not Barun provided it was a capable actor and I totally agree with Gul - Only Barun has the charisma to portray Advay.

Watched it for the content?

Yes I loved the basic premise of the show - I think I am at a phase where I want more shades to the leads than just having romantic feelings. Here the ML wants to revenge his childhood friend yet he is so so protective of her in spite of his hate.

Watched it for the chemistry of lead couple?

Actually I look at promos before deciding to follow a show and promos hardly had any chemistry scenes so I am actually getting surprised by the beautiful chemistry of Barun - Shivani. The chemistry between Barun - Shivani is like icing on the cake.

Watched it putting up with background music?

The BG was not that great in the beginning 2 weeks but it is getting better now.

Watched it after the editing disaster?

I have watched a lot of Indian shows which were even more horrible with editing and with body doubles galore so yes though the editing of IPK3 was not up to mark the first 2 weeks now it is getting better.

And still justify the shortcomings?

The only shortcomings in the show are the over the top costumes but then every show is like that on Indian Telly. Rest of the technical stuff is getting corrected by the team so yes I am willing to give the show a very long rope because like I said I am intrigued by the premise and I am looking forward to the premise playing out.

Justify the the technology?

I would rather have a ML who thinks and acts than a ML who sprouts dialogues like - Wife should wash the feet of husband and drink the water. That dialogue is actually spoken in DABH 2 so yes I am super glad that Advay is a technology guy who uses things to manipulate the situations.

Justify the loose plot?

I actually think the plot is quite strong - The base story is really sketched good. Barun said that when people put themselves in Advay's shoes they will feel like what he is doing is correct and that is what I too feel. So yes the plot is strong the screen play is what is having some issues. But then we have to remember that the show is for 22 mins they can't show everything at once in one episode only.

Justify the inconsistent character development?

The only inconsistent character development has been of Chandni - I guess the creatives were confused on what to show for her. And obviously the attack thing didn't go down well with the audience hence they did some changes to her character. But I like the way they give flashbacks of Chandni in her childhood who was a patakha and who gave back as good as she got. So inherently Chandni is a strong girl who didn't hesitate to hit Dev back. Though she was kidnapped, she is someone who is inherently strong. And many people do compartmentalize their pain, suffering and trauma when they are dealing with lot of things on their plate so yes I can understand Chandni pushing off her attack thing to a corner of her mind when dealing with Advay, her mother and PP. Right now she is too swamped with things to worry about her attack thing or get anxious every other day.

I have never found any inconsistent character development for either Advay or Indrani. Or maybe both Barun and Ritu Shivpuri are able to lift above the script requirements and get the character connected with the audience better. I would give time to Shivani because she has been dealt with an unfair hand so yes I hope she will rise about the script inconsistencies and shine.

Would you still give it time?

Oh yes this show is much better than the crap that is out there so yes I would still give it time and the biggest factor for me to stick around is this is finite series so I know the Satyanash will end in a year's time. Every show needs only a few top notch scenes that totally make you root for the characters and I am quite certain we will have those scenes when Indrani and Advay start their games. No show has plus and wow scenes right from the beginning - The tempo slowly builds up and I am actually liking the build up for this show.

Would you?

My answers in bold red.

I did not intend to generate that reaction. What I mean with positivity is, when I point out things that did not go well with me, more often than not it's regarded as bashing and lambasting.

I find the plot disoriented right now.

Speaking for myself if not for the actor I wouldn't have given as many chances I have given this otherwise

@Bold: If you're talking about the existence of the show itself, then let me clarify that the show has been in works since even before Barun was signed on for Tanhaiyan. The decision to make it a part of the franchise and title it as IPKKND was made by Star Plus. I think part of the reason was also because of the huge fan following Barun still has, even after 5 years of being on hiatus. Star Plus saw the craze for him in Dubai, Tashkent, Turkey and Indonesia. They probably also noticed the huge response online for THMS and every film festival it went to. And of course Tanhaiyan was a massive hit! His last successful show was IPK and the craze for Barun is because he was THE Arnav Singh Raizada. So they probably decided to make this a franchise.

But when Barun spoke about this show in MAMI during the THMS screening, it wasn't supposed to be IPKKND. That was in October 2016.

Why would I? It's on her if she chooses to express her views anywhere in this forum until the forum permits. Then her response is well within my zone of query.

I am open to finding out, but being told to bas karo repeatedly is little disheartening don't you think?
