That aspect of the show is quite realistic even though the rest of the show isn't. 😆

Hey CD! Good to see you girl! It has been a long time since we last talked...can't even remember what show it was...😊

Oh...falling about mercurial men who are sweet and charming...SIGH...that does happen doesn't it? Although his constant reminder about how she is a liar etc...would snap any girl out of any spell...Those charmers are usually all sugar in the beginning...aren't they?

And it's not that Shivani can't act, I believe she can and well. It's just that they're making her seem like an incredibly confused character, even when Advay is being cryptic, saying shayari which clearly has double meaning, she hardly reacts?! Her scenes with Advay all like so routine, if that makes any sense :/ I wish the makers would have her talk to herself, a monologue or tow would go a long way in showing us what she's thinking. Thankfully we got something today when she thought about how Advay's probably up to something since he's absent but man, it's not enough.

I too liked her monologue today and hope we will see more of that...Her character is written to be confused at the moment...and she is playing it well...one can see why she is confused...

The only disconnect is from her back story...which should have made the part of being charmed more difficult forcing Bituwa to be gentler in his approach...more sensitive...

I think that is because she knows deep down he is really not into her so there is no danger of him molesting her - he has been pretty clear about what he thinks of her and if he thinks her neeyat is more black than black night, then he is not really attracted to her...

Also, he is not really aggressive - asked her permission before picking her up - doesn't back her into a corner anymore - is more teasing etc...

Sush - First thing I absolutely adore your Sushpectives and please do continue it at whatever frequency you can put up with your daily routine. I love to read your point of view and I like the way you write. Please do continue the Sushpectives.

Today's episode was a peek into how far Advay can go and what is happening with Chandni. It is clear that she is not over the top happy with the marriage proposal. She just said yes for the marriage because that is what makes her mother happy. She has not thought about anything beyond that. And after what all Chandni has suffered through it would not have been realistic to show Chandni being happy for the marriage proposal so glad that we got this cleared in today's episode.

Regarding Chandni vs Advay I really like the way Advay always tries to jot down the memory of Chandni for that fateful day whenever he can to see if she remembers anything. But the way Chandni answers back I am sure something must have been done by Indrani to wipe out that memory from Chandni's mind. Advay was so so disappointed to see Chandni flat out refuse that she never lied and his tone goes icy cold when he declares her "Jhooti" - The hate in his voice is tangible. I am glad that even when they show Advay using all his charm on Chandni to get her to say yes he is still driven by his rage and hatred. He still has a long way to go to understand what makes Chandni click and what exactly happened that fateful day.

And the attraction of Chandni towards Advay is fatal - She is totally getting bowled over by the charm of Advay and she can't understand what is happening to her. She is trying to make sense of what's happening but Advay is full on playing her expertly without giving her any time to understand and decode anything. I really want Chandni to start connecting dots and be at least aware of what game plan Advay is playing.

Barun was a dream today in white and I really am happy Shivani Sharali didn't give any outrageous costumes to Barun. The guy is total charmer and doesn't need anything outrageous to make an impact.

PS:- I totally missed Murli - Shilpa nok jhok today. And full marks to the dialogue writer for the dialogues as well as the poem.

@bold:- I think right now we are not intentionally being shown what happened to Chandni after that day. It might be that her memory of that day has been wiped out by Indrani and her sisters. So right now we are seeing what Dev remembers of Chandni and I think when Dev totally decodes the whole past, that is when we will along with Dev understand what part Chandni actually played and what happened to her after that day. I think that is when the redemption thing will kick in when Dev understands that Chandni was also a victim of fate like he was and Indrani is the main culprit.

Actually I am more confused as to why Indrani is not suspecting Advay - Unless she got in PP to sniff out the real intentions of Advay and PP is someone planted by her shatir dimaag.

I want Chandini to be partly responsible - better story that way - I want him to forgive her because she was a vulnerable child not because it is revealed that she was innocent all along

Hi Sush, feels like eons away isn't it? Good to read your posts again and I really like the S and S comparison you made. I'm a big fan of Jane Austen, so much so that I took an English course devoted only for Jane Austen novels during my university days. 😆 (and English was not my major 😆) Elinor was one of my favorites and her story is so gut wrenching and sad. Sense and sensibility and Persuasion were probably my favorites out of all JA novels. They really did portray the pangs of unrequited love, rejection and mistakes made on love, from a female's point of view.

Anyway, what I was trying to get at was, mercurial, unpredictable men are attractive, even the ones who are outright offensive and sometimes abusive. I call it an offshoot case of the Stockholm syndrome.

Hey sush please don't stop writing your takes.
It gives a refreshing and critical pov.
And I enjoy reading it.
The collages from shwets adds to the charm of this thread.
I hope you will take out time and continue writing.
I was a huge fan of your sushpectives on Rangrasiya forum also.
And I would be glad to be a part of your analysis in this forum as well.
So far to tell you the truth I am enjoying the show...so wouldn't go into much details...as I am not good with decoding or writing analysis.
I am enjoying the show as a General audience and reading the posts on this forum to know other pov's as well.
Hope it continues till the end although after a time period Gul's shows hardly have the same charm.
I am sticking to the show because of the leads.
Let's see and hope that I can stick it till the end.
Thanks for your review and shwets for wonderful collages.

Yes me too want Chandni to be partly responsible. I too want Advay to learn to forgive Chandni and love her even with the past between them.
