I think this show has a huge amount of potential. The actors are doing a fine job. The story line is interesting. There is a lot of scope for romance.

The problem according to me lies with the execution. The flow of one scene to the next. Also, personally, I am not a fan of breaking of the fourth wall. And, I don't like the thees-thees-thees dramatic zoom effect. I find that style of direction very distracting. I would like to see characters interact without the overly dramatic camerawork.

I think they should pay attention to building dynamics between the characters. Right now, the scenes that I enjoy most are the one-on-one dialogue exchange between Advay and Indrani.

As I see it, the actors such as Barun, Ritu and Shivani are plus point of the show. I even like the sisters. I just want to enjoy their acting without the overly dramatic effects like fast zoom shots and speaking to the camera element.

I kind of like the serial. But, I wish to love it. Let's see where my opinion stands after a few more weeks.

But like I had said, honestly I am enjoying the story, so this technical issues are not visible to be that much... Also compared to first week 2nd week was better I guess.. But for Friday's episode, I felt what is that is the lack of proper execution...It could have been much better. ...

But since we get to saw a little improvement on 2nd week from 1st week, we can hope for the best...
And the dresses.. I am just fed up!!!

i think you make very good points, it's no secret that the directing and editing are a major hindrance especially since this show was being planned for some time and a lot of effort was said to have gone into it. they should keep the editing more simple like i mentioned in another post, i hate the triple zoom they do especially annoying when there is more then one character and it happens within a couple seconds from one another. and yes directing affects the flow and storytelling and sometimes it feels haphazardly put together, there needs to be a strong vision, visual vision. the thing is you can have a good story but poor editing and directing can ruin it.if they improved on these, it could do wonders.

i so agree with you about chandni, they need to add some inner monologues when advay is doing stuff to her, it's hard to relate and connect to the character if half the time you dont knows going on with them. im interested to see why chandni seems to have become quite sassy compared to before, is it because she knows advay's true intention clearly now of hurting her family. i hope it's good, cause if im being frank a part of me wanted her to be like this cause i do like it when female characters give back. which goes back to more stuff on hearing her inner dialogues cause yes she has anxiety so it makes sense for her to react that way but it would have been awesome to hear her inner thoughts completely questioning everything without her having to be loud and giving tashan back to advay and it would be in line with her characterisation thus far. i do enjoy the skinship/romance scenes but dont become to over reliant on that to create that hot passionate love story/tension, its the characters and storytelling that needs to be focused on to create that, that's what makes those romance and close scenes more impact, give us the journey not just moments and make it more cohesive from one scene to the other.

Agree with everything you said. I was so excited about Chandni's character, it sounded like something very different to Gul's typical FL template. But her characterization has come across very wishy-washy and confusing thus far. But like many have mentioned, it's only been 2 weeks. The situation can still be salvaged in the upcoming weeks of the show :)
