I don't know if LM is trying to recreate Shivika. Lol

We are Shivika fans but that doesn't mean that LM has not directed hit pairs before Shivika. He got a lot of acclaim for directing hit pairs in IPK and QH as well. So let's not presume everything is about recreating Shivika. LM has directed similar scenes on other couples before Shivika too. He's probably just trying to repeat the standard formula but casting is so bad for the DIB Dhinku Minku pairing that it won't work.

For IPK and QH the casting was apt for the formulaic scenes I guess. Lol so those worked out. Here the pair is just too incompatible on a base level only. LM can't make anything out of them.

They whole thing is that Shivika set the bar too high. And Narbhi as costars had a tuning that very rare and comes along only once in a while. Given that it's something that is not easy for anyone to match upto even in general in tellyland. And in the same show it's a pressure that no one can live upto because the comparison will be inevitable no matter what season you call it. So even a reasonably well matched Jodi would always fall short of Shivika. And then to top it if there is such an obviously mismatched Jodi it's never going to work. It's not rocket science to understand this. If they had any sense it's a legacy that StarPlus should have valued and taken pride in instead of treating it as easily replaceable. If they actually wanted this work and if they actually had a story to tell (which is doesn't appear like they have) then they should have made a new show with a new audience base. On this show Shivika's shoes were always going to be too big to fill for anyone let alone a pair as mismatched as this. And the new cast looks like kids playing at being grown ups and not very successfully at that and all their offscreen Instagram posts and stories and live sessions only reinforces that feeling.

LM has directed Gul's previous couples. I haven't watched QH but I know he was the director there. And I watched IPK 1 and know for sure that he was the director there. And Honestly all of Gul's couple have a standard template of AYM ML who is a jerk because of a sad angsty backstory and bubbly FL with again a dukhi backstory. And similar romantic scenes. So to that extent I guess there is a lot copy paste and reboot of similar stuff across all her shows. And Dhinku Minku is part of the same copy paste. It's only Shivika who were different and who also probably started with the same standard template on paper but who then rose above it and carved their own niche and that is in no small measure thanks to Narbhi because they rose above the cliched stuff and brought their own unique touch to Shivika and Shivika then took on a life of their own that no amount of subsequent bad writing and poor plots and tracks could snuff out. So it's NM and SC that made them so unique. Baki sab pairs toh otherwise Gul ke cookie cutter mould se hi bane hai. If Shivika would have been played by someone else they would have also most probably been like any other cliched pair in Gul's shoes. So it's not really surprising to see similar scenes being shot on the Dhinku pair. But they fall flat because it's not Narbhi.

Totally agree anything can looks good in paper but actors give them life, Annika is very unorthodox character, quite different from gul's other FL, on paper she may be a bubbly girl, but SC portrayed her as Strong positive personality, because of her uniqueness AYM shivaay becomes different than other AYM, as you mentioned NarBhi has a very rare unique equation, they bring that uniqueness into SHIVIKA. That's why even a age old scene becomes precious with them.
We all know that this is unique the question is how the stupid channel & Gulneet did not understand it, how Big is there ego that they think it is so easy that like copy & paste they can copy the NarBhi bonding equation to their new pair shiti or shAt 😕
The episode totally bleh bleh
Dhinku with normal hair (better than Bhais ke poonch) ... that is if camera is on his left side dhinku is tolerable... on a fast forward mode he is turning into a sorry version of SSO ...but total bleh bleh... NM forgot to act it seems (or bored) .. as the plot is approaching super sonic speed to forced marriage if the recap is a clue. 😕 😕
The theory going on dib land is
1) Commissioner is the mastermind 🥱 😲
2) ACP under cover to get to the master mind 😆 😆
I am thinking do the layered writer has enough brain cells to write a convincing thriller like this theories 😆 😉

Out of all Gul heroine I think Mannat is the weakest one.
That fangirling in every episode gives extra weakness to her character
She is good at crying that doesn't mean she has to cry buckets everyday
Not at all an impressive personality.
And about nm he definitely looked like a drunkard in that net scene
If someone looks at me like that I will definitely feel disgusting .
And precap scene he might be doing the same scene for the 100 th time in ishqbaaaz. Here the difference is on opposite side we do t have a strong character but a extremely soft hearted cry baby. After this treatment she will fangirl the next moment. That makes the story more ridiculous. Good that we spared from this fangirling in season 1.
I will say both Nm and Niti deserve better than this .

At times Mannat reminds me of Priyanka in real universe .she usually comes in beautiful attire in all the functions but her characterisation was too weak .

After going through the thread all I can say is we guys r just jealous & insecure to call a hot good look Jodi as failed one.

Nm is trying hard to make shivansh loook different than shivaay . But he is repeating the same scenes and dialogues which shivaay used to deliver.
Whether there is chemistry or not they have to continue with this . They already changed the montage synopsis and fl within a month . They can't do it again .
So they will try their level best to make this show and pair work,
I am hoping for an emotional scene on Monday after this age old push and pull
I hope it won't end up in chocolate or strawberry ice cream
And the next day she will forget everything and come in nice costumes to attend next function.

For Niti fans everything is new so they might be enjoying it .
