Yup! Leaps are taken after some amount of deliberation and do take considerable amount of time to conceptualize even if it is something as degraded as Dhinchaak. I don't know if the actors were kept in the loop or not but it's obvious that it was in the offing long before the PR machinery started reporting.

My question to Gul Khan is when she is making a show it is a business & audiences are the people who is most important element to run the show than WHY she is soo clueless to the opinion of viewers.
In world television history when audiences gave opinion it is carefully noted and acted upon. Even in India other PH changed their mind than why GUL is different!!!
For her EGO she destroyed a show in the name of Freshness...
My personal opinion GUL never gave importance to the elements which made original IB iconic unique. The X factor the bonding of the original cast that's why she disregarded all to build a Dhinchak Rome.

This is the whole point, even if leap was decided that time what was the need to degrade FL and how they thought that they would do it smoothly by doing all these dirty tricks.

Ms Gul Khan's journey with IB form a neutral viewers perspective:

Ms Gul Khan is being pathetic from the beginning...She concieved an idea of three brothers love story and it was rejected by audience as they choose three brothers and one couple...She had to accept the defeat as she had tasted two major failures by then...She had to give in to the channels demand to make it into a shivika centric show...But she couldn't forget the defeat

she came back with a spin off for other two brothers love story and failed ...But shivika story was doing well..

then she merged two shows without giving any logical explanation of from where two more character landed into IB..Many fans left the show then...Three brothers story again got rejected by audience.

All her bad decisions were being balanced by shivika but she adamantly denied that and continued to claim , IB is a six leads show..

Blinded by her ego she started hating shivika and their followers..

She never accepted Shivika is the reason behind IBs success as it always reminded her the failure of three brothers story concept...

I always believed that if IPK3 had worked then IB would have gone through many more disastrous plot twists and shivika would have been lost long back..

.She had to wait for kulfi and Nazar's success..

Now after destroying shivika and dividing the fandom finally she is happy and feeling victorious

probably.

Her actions on SM during movement had always made me wonder, if she is emotionally stable or not!!

In this process she has earned nothing..But her loss is huge.

Which she will slowly realize.

To begin with even I was baffled with the idea of leap since it is one and only Shivika that fetches trp and online craze. I remember laughing with my friends about the insane tracks being shown yet we bore it all because the strong mitigant was Shivikaz chemistry.

To begin with redux showed gloomier version of the always chirpy Annika and really dark, depressed SSO coupled with illogical tracks. The most lame of it was the jaadugar track which emulation of "Ajnabee" movie track. I mean it was so obvious that there was no need to build up any suspense. Such track cannot be expected fetch trp. The only reason bore was because of the lead pair chemistry.

The PH and the producer is competing with audience by introducing the leap. It is like we will go ahead do whatever you want. This very mindset is wrong as you cannot compete with your customer. You have to comply with your customer as they are the one who makes your show. They are the ones who will be watching and not friends of the actors who will wish good luck virtually and switch to Netflix.

As a viewer it is really painful to see the painful demise of beautiful couple of ITV just for the objective of cost cutting. But again this cost cutting is ridiculous because the sun has seem to set for the show.

@bold: Very good point. Who in their right mind makes the audience their ADVERSARY? lol matlab basic rule of BUSINESS since that is what Gul touts this is...a business decision...basic rule of business is to listen to the customer...to cater to the customer...Gul seems to think she's creating a new market for her "product" here but there is no data to back that up...IB's audience base has always been centered around Shivika and the original cast.

The sun will deffo set on the show sooner or later...and it could have set quite nicely...the fans would have let it end in peace since it had a pretty long memorable run...alas, Gul ko yeh manzoor nahin tha...oh well😆

No, I don't think it was decided during SPA...discussions were probably on before that b/w Gul and the channel, but the actors were suddenly informed after SPA so that SPA could happen peacefully without fan uproar.

Re: SP female montage...lol but that's not new...SC has anyways hardly ever been acknowledged as the equal face of the show by the channel since a long time...she only got to be in the main show montage with NM for the 5 months when DBO was on air...as soon as merger happened, it was back to Obros montage for IB😆...the makers and the channel have tried long and hard to just make SC one of the crowd or ignore her existence many times. It's a sad truth that we all lived with for a long time and so did SC.

For once, SP reacted to the fan outrage that day and made amends...perhaps they wanted to take pity on the fandom cuz they knew worse news was coming down the pipeline with the leap😆

It's always the international outlets like Star UK and Star Life in Africa that acknowledged Shivika/NM-SC as the face of the show...India version continued to push the myth of Obros show/three pairs show every chance they got😆

Gul never realizes anything...LOL but yeah she has to acknowledge FAILURE when it hits her upfront and she can't hide from it...and that time will come too, I do not doubt...everything happens eventually😆

I just miss the chemistry of NM-SC on and offscreen. Shivika is iconic b/c of them. I would have watched for them, but it is sad that they might never act together again.

Absolutely shaadi toh honi hi hai forced/fake or whatever, what other mind blowing script can our arc writer write?? Hmmm...forced wedding with a police officer, is it not freshness(the sisters are present on both sides for the cause of the wedding only most likely) 😉?? Atleast after the wedding producer can save more money because all will be under the same roof & enough characters are present for the groupbazzi 😆.Prove me wrong this time HS😊!!
