I might be alone here, but I genuinely disliked all the characters during the separation track. All the characters did and said cruel things all in the name of family and love. Everyone showed the worst side of them by lying, manipulating, and had no respect for any of their relationships or each other's feelings. I understand no communication and misunderstandings are daily soap staples, but I was rolling my eyes so hard from the sheer stupidity of their actions. Everyone went blind, deaf, and dumb to set up and execute the separation. The writers exaggerated everything up for the drama quotient, but ironically it didn't get the desired effect TRP wise and the bond between all the characters suffered.

I do find it interesting that Anika and Omru's actions aren't being viewed negatively. We have seen him do the same countless of times for his family, but he was always checked for his behavior by the fandom. Here, it's the same reason (for family) and their actions were just as cruel, but the reaction is different now. Everyone was wrong here, period. It's not exclusive to IB, but I dislike the concept of characters hurting others for their sake. This trope irks me beyond belief, but unfortunately it's everywhere and I can't escape it 😆

If none of this acknowledged and addressed then what about the viewers that waited months for a proper conclusion? They need a family meeting to discuss WTH happened where everyone takes turns apologizing for their part in Pinky's grand plan. It can end with one giant group hug because they all need it. It also wouldn't hurt to establish a family mission statement considering how many enemies they have 😆 I don't really mind all the daily soap tropes, but it gets annoying when the characters never address months of show material. The resolution should fit the months of buildup, but maybe the writers don't have the time or something.

@bold... WORD!! 👏 I find it interesting as well.. that Anika's and OmRu's actions are being white-washed while Shivaay is answerable for things he has done and even for things he hasn't but might do 😆... Everyone was WRONG during the separation... Agreed!

It was like he finally understood why she was so cruel that day, and she forgave what he'd done in reaction. Fine, we got that.

But where are the reassurances and promises that this won't happen again?

Annika should promise to go to him NO MATTER WHAT, trust that he will be there for her and not to make unilateral decisions.

Shivaay needs to promise to trust her word, argue and contest if necessary, but ultimately be the 'go to guy ' he promised to be long ago.

Pinky's duplicity was their acid test which has been identified and neutralized. But the threat is still acidic and present. Truth exposed but nothing resolved. That's why little doses may come in as they go into marriage again.

I think it's coming slowly. Pinky's insecurities still exist, in fact she acts like a martyr, unappreciated mother by her ungrateful son whom she had degraded herself for.

Notice that the only thing addressed in the expose was Pinky's lie about his illegitimacy. No one talked about how Pinky let ACP run off with Priyanka, as result the girl is stuck in hell awaiting madness and disgrace. No one talked about how she brought in an opportunist Nayantara to pretend to be Annika's mother, with sole purpose to degrade her and make her unworthy of being SSO's wife.

No one talked about how Annika was blackmailed to the point she was thrown out by Shivaay himself in disgrace. Instead of lovey dovey, I'd prefer if he was actively making it up to her by making her feel special. Yes, in words.

I only have time on the weekends so I would binge watch the episodes, but they all ended up driving me crazy with their antics I started disliking them all lol. The execution for the separation was such a letdown.

I like them all, but I only had the time to make appreciation posts for ShivKara interactions lol. I was going to make a post about that scene when I got the chance. Some people didn't think it was emotional enough, but I liked it.
