I'm 99% sure the CVs have some intern who reads reaction, or who knows? maybe you can tweet this and, praise God, Harneet will see it for herself. Surely the genius Cat lady likes to see the effects of her hard work? So in case I'm right and one of the IB people are reading, please note-- we the audience need "the talk" more than Anika does. Here is a quick primer for what the next few weeks have to cover--and what we are all waiting for, much more than we care about the suhaag raat, frankly. What is that insanely important thing?
We are waiting for The Talk. Its one chance to deal with elements like:
Actual gaps in storytelling:
Did he stalk her by visiting the chawl every day/night or what?
Did he stop her from getting all those jobs?
Does she know she literally caused him to have a heart attack?
Why did he buy her goddamn chawl for god's sake? Give us a romantic or insanely in love reason. Chalega. But close that.
Did she ever tell him what happened at the dargah?
Why a bike? And highlights? Seriously? Can she at least tease him, please?
And emotional issues:
The whole Vikram thing brought one thing out into the open--how she is not sure in her heart, that he really wants her. She needs the words. She told him what to say to her once-- khidkitodh khubsoorat. But he went and did a love confession to OMKARA, confusing poor Om and us, equally. He might not be ready to say "I Love You." Okay. But she gave him a speech, after her bullet shot. He can use those words. Its not like he doesn't obsessively remember everything she ever says to him, word by word.
She said over and over again, that she had to throw herself out of his life, but she didn't quite believe he would LET HER DO it. Her insecurity about who she is. Her role in his life. Not when he's high on bhang. But soberly, into her eyes, so she gets it. That is something they have to address.
How much BOTH of them owe Omkara and Rudra (and Gauri and Bhavya) . I need words. I need tears. I need them both to say, out loud, to the best Shivika shippers-- thank you. To apologize for giving his brothers such a tough time via the separation and then the taadibaaz marriage nonsense. They suffered too.
I don't think he's had enough time to process what a betrayal his mother did, because there is so much MORE, yeah? Its more than that. How about Nayantara, and the issue of Sahil being kidnapped, and Anika being called a s**ts daughter in the media? I want him to find out all this.
But Shivaay needs to get the poison out of himself to heal, for himself, and to have a healthy marriage. And they haven't even touched on the hell they were both under, for 3 months, that they compounded by hurting each other with the Vikram-Ragini nonsense.
I want them to finally promise themselves, and us, that this is absolutely positively the last time Shivika get married, either to each other OR to other people.

How much she was broken by the way he threw her out. This is huge. Yeah she engineered it, but how he did it, in one moment? She is NOT over that.One apology is not enough. He has to beg for that one. And promise that no matter what, his instinct will never again be to treat her as less than family, because that is what he did.

Pinky wont tell him. maybe he's got Khanna to do research on Pinky's bank records to see who she paid off at this time. Khanna found payments to Shivaay's orphanage (the one he bought because of Anika) and he gets the info from the matron there. Pinky left a mile wide trail. Now he knows who to look for.
I need him to reflect on all the times when he kind-of-sort-of trusted his mom over Anika. Sahil being a thief. The whole Tia thing. The hundred times when Pinky was vicious to her, said horrible words to her in front of him, and he let it fly--how about when Pinky threw Anika out of the hospital? He has to remember those times. No woman deserves that, and Anika is an angel, she deserves that even less. He has to say to her that he wont let those things happen again. And mean it.
He must revisit those WITH Pinky when he runs into her or Pinky tries to talk to him. There is much more to unpack there. She needs to know he's remembering everything, and he hates HER for what she did to Anika. That Anika didnt make these happen. Pinky did. Please note-- We aren't interfering with storytelling. All this still gives Harneet a chance to take Pinky white, black, grey, whatever. But every married woman in her audience will stop clenching her teeth, and relax.
I was happy in his breakdown scene where he acknowledged how big a thing it was for someone like Tej and Janvi to silently let their eldest son be vilified and not immediately reveal about Shivaay at that time. That was the biggest "family" thing I've ever seen Tej do, for Shivaay, no less. I'd like Shivaay to thank Tej, and Jahnvi, for being real parents to him at that point, when they put their own kid down for him.
I guess, reading all this, that the Talk has to be with Anika AND Pinky. I'm not speaking for Pinky or wanting her to get her son back. Or even get Anika's help here. NO WAY.
