See ArhI marriage track happened somewhere between episode 135-140..
And the shyam related misunderstanding was cleared in episode 288-294.
So Arhi had a lot rocky relationship compared to Shivika. Khushi tried to leave Arnav after 6 month contract period but Arnav didnt let her go. He blackmailed her into coming back to him.
Even during their remarriage track, Arnav was far too restless without Khushi.
Actually separation wasnt needed at this point in IB especially when the two had come this far in the relationship but I think for the sisters track, DBO and IB need to be in sync as far as love stories are concerned.
Om's love story still has to progress to be where Shivika were.
Both Geet and IPK wound up in 300-400 episodes. IPK's storylines changed because of Barun quitting and Geet because the channel shut down.
This is Indian soap. As much as we hate it, max story is dished out by this time and after that its just drag fest- IB still has a major part of the story line left- Annika's past and Oberois big secret.
So its obvious that they are waiting for OmRu's love story to be stabilized before they get to that part.
But yea in Indian soap, after 300 episodes, everything going lovey dovey between leads is rare. It is always heroine having to prove herself to the hubby, the other woman, annoying MIL, , zero romance, a weak pathetic excuse for a hubby and what not.
