Part Four

The Graha shanti pooja was held for both the married couples. As it is supposed to be done before the marriage but as both of their sons already married under different circumstances, like other rituals, this one was also being done for their happy and prosperous marital life.

Unaware of the dangers lurking in the darkness, waiting to strike on their family, they were busy organising and getting ready for this ritual.

Women are known for their sixth sense, intuition. Gauri's gut feeling was saying that something was terribly wrong. Every once in a while she was looking around feeling as if someone was watching her again. She shared her paranoia with anika "bhaujaai, humein accha nahi lag raha hai, aisa lag raha hai jaise kuch galat hone wala hai. Jaise yahan koi hai jise nahi hona chahiye"

"arre gauri tum chinta mat karo, kuch nahi hai, khanna ji itne acche se nazar rakhte hai koi bhi aira gaira nahi aa saqta yahan, bilkul khidkitod chaukidaar hai" after this gauri was somewhat relaxed and both of them went to their rooms to get ready.

( their room is the DBO set wala room)

Omkara wasn't in the room when gauri decided to take shower quickly. She took out a red saree and went to get ready. She wore the saree and now stood in front of the mirror, applying a bit of makeup. She wore gold bangles and her earrings. She was busy in thinking soo much about the nightmare she had and since then the weird feelings she was getting that she didn't notice when omkara entered the room. He froze, he went to her taking slow steps, staring at her beauty but the more he saw, he realised she wasn't much into what she was doing. Mentally she was somewhere else. He saw her pick up the sindoor dibbi slowly and as she was about to open it, the dibbi slipped from her hands.

Before gauri could even react, with speed omkara didn't know he had, he caught the dibbi before it touched the ground. Gauri was shocked to say the least. She looked wide eyed, at omkara, realising that maybe this was a sign, a bad sign that something was about to happen.

She thought "hey sankar ji, ye ka tha, aap apni chirraiyaa ko koi sanket de rahe hain? Agar omkara ji ke saath kuch bura hone wala hai toh humari madad kijiye. Unpar jo bhi sankat hai hum apne sar le lenge" She prayed.

Without saying anything he kept the dibbi in her outstretched palm and turned to leave "omkara ji!" gauri called out before she could stop herself, as he turned to look at her she said " aap thik hain? " and om just nodded and left. She had wanted to warn him but asked something else instead.

She opened the sindoor and filled her maang with the resolve of not letting anything happen to omkara.

Soon, the pooja ended and family members dispersed, the elder went to the temple with the pandit ji to complete some other small rituals. Only Omkara, shivaay and anika were still sat in the hall talking. Gauri remembered something that she needed to give to anika.

Gauri went to retrieve it from their room. As she was on her way she noticed it was eerily silent. With uncertainity she went to her room and open the closet.

As she was working, she was startled to her the door slam shut. She quickly turned to come face to face with her nightmare, KAALI THAKUR.

( They never showed what happened to Kaali, so I am assuming he is still there)

Gauri's heartbeat increased and she started breathing fast. She realised that she wasn't paranoid, it was true, kaali was here and he was the one whose gaze she had felt on her. How did he even enter here?

"tu..tum?" she asked hesitating. "haan hum. Tumko ka laga? Tum hume dhokha deke bhaag jaogi toh hum tumko dhundh nahi paenge.?" He laughed evily.

Kaali kept looking at her with a evil smirk on his face and then took out a gun from his jacket pocket. Gauri took a step back scared. "agar.. agar omkara ji ko pata lagan a toh vo tumhe chodenge nahi kaali." She warned him trying to sound confident but she wasn't. Even though omkara had saved her life in bareily, she doubted if he will save her this time, seeing his hatred towards her.

Gauri looked here and there to find something which she could use to escape him. Kaali looked in a deep thought "ab hum soch rahe hain ki tumhari kahani yahin khatam karde hamesha hamesha ke liye, sasura naak mei dum kar diya hai tumne." Then he pointed his gun towards her.

Panicking gauri moved to pick up the flower vase near her but kaali hit her temple with his gun and she fell down, on the verge of unconsciousness.

Kaali tsked shaking his head and crouched down beside her. "ab tumhare lambe baalon wale pati ki baari" saying this he leaves the room and gauri was unable to stand, to stop him.

Shivaay and anika were talking to om about gauri, the topic he wanted to avoid. "arre gauri kahan gayi?" anika asked suddenly but they didn't imagine the answer coming from someone else.

"vo vahin hai jahan use hona chahiye" hearing this, omkara tensed as he could recognise the voice anywhere. All three of them turned to look behind them.

There kaali stood with his goons. "samjhe nahi?" he taunted them but then he pointed the gun at up and looked upwards. Suddenly om was filled with raw fury. He couldn't imagine gauri being hurt. He took a step towards kaali but before he could take another step shivaay stopped him be holding his arm.

"tum yahaan kaise aaye?" shivaay asked as he stood in front of om.

"kya pyaar hai dono bhaiyon mein. Accha hua jo ram aur laxman yahin mil gaye" kaali ignored shivaay's question and taunted them again.

"kaali! Gauri kahan hai?" omkara asked while trying to suppress his anger.

Kaali's expressions changed to one of a psycho killer and he took out another gun, one pointed at om and the other at shivaay. As he did that anika held shivaay's hand worried for him.

"ab ye kaali tum dono ko nahi chodega. Sivaay...tune humare bhai ko maar diya, hum tere bhai ko maar dein? Aur omkara, tumne humari bulbul ko humse cheen liya toh ... tumhare bade bhaiya ki bulbul ko hum cheen lein. Tumhari waali ab humare kisi kaam ki nahi." He said all of this which left them stunned as for a fleeting second they thought gauri was dead.

Gauri somehow fought the haze and tried to stand up. She reached the door but it was locked. "hey sankar ji, iss chirraiya ki madad kariye, omkara ji ki jaan khatre mein hain" she prayed and then remembered that everyone was gone to the temple, even rudra. If only she could call him. She searched for her phone which she had kept in the closet when she was searching the box she had to give to anika. She quickly took the phone and called rudra.

"kaali.. gauri kahan hai? Agar use kharoch bhi aayi na toh main tujhe chodunga nahi?" omkara threatened and tried to escape shivaay's hold on him.

"arre waah! Itni chinta. Hume toh laga ki nafrat karta hai tu use?" kaali asked looking confused. Omkara didn't have time for his nonsense but kaali didn't stop.

"kitni sundar hai na gauri? Tu bhi phas gaya. Isiliye shaadi karna chahte the use, apni rani bnana chahte the par oo sasuri mandap mein humein aure humare bhaiyon ko chodh kar tere saath bhaag gayi aur tune use shaadi kar li." As kaali started to reveal the story he got angry and pointed the gun at om.

Om was confused "tumhare bhai?" om asked realising he didn't know what actually had happened. "haan humare bhai, teen raja aur unki ek rani" he laughed evilly then said "usko khareed liya tha humne, bahot nuksaan hua hai humara."

"tum dono ek se hi hoi, teri kamzori teri maa aur uss gauri ki kamzori uski maa. Kamzori jab mutthi mei bandh ho toh kuch bhi karte ho tum log. Uski kamzori meri mutthi mei thi par bhaag gayi"

Hearing all this omkara didn't move. It was shocking for him that gauri was always right and he was an idiot, he never believed her, he hurt her and now he couldn't save her. "nahi jaanta tha tu?" seeing om's rigid posture, kaali realised that he told gauri's truth to him. "koi nahi marne se pehle sach jaan le"

"jab tu apne chulbul ko bachane aaya tha toh teri bua maa mere kabze mei thi, meri mutthi mei, gauri ki kamzori uske sasural wale." He revealed another truth and om thought about how he humiliated her and left her with kaali when he should have saved her.

"bas ab ramayan khatam, tumhari maut ke saath" and he pointed the guns back at om and shivaay.

"Omkara ji!! " they heard the scream and looked towards the direction it came from. Kaali knew she would come so taking advantage of their distraction he fired on om first then as he was about to pull the other trigger rudra stopped him while the police also came. Shivaay was fine but someone was hurt. Anika and shivaay looked at omkara. When kaali had pulled the trigger gauri was almost there and had seen it. She couldn't let anything happen to him so she came running and turned him in time so that the bullet hit her back.

Omkara just kept looking at gauri face, tears were flowing freely from her eyes and then she froze and they fell with om pillowing their fall. Om touched her back and felt how her clothes were wet. He called her name but she didn't respond. Om moved his palm to her face and that when he saw blood on his hands. The realisation struck him like lightening, gauri had taken a bullet for him and just when he didn't want to let her go, she was going to leave him, forever.

Pheww... so much drama. This feels so filmy to me I had a laugh at it but I hope you guys like it
