ShivIka's Slow Progress and my take on it - Page 3

As Dadi had mentioned once.. Ishq shaadi se pehle hota hai... par Ishqbaaazi toh shaadi ke baad shuru hoti hai.. a person falls in love before marriage but after marriage he rises.. that is the journey Shivaay and Annika have taken upon.. They were attracted towards each other before marriage but never decided to act upon it.. This is not a marriage between lovers because both of them never believed in the concept of love.. for them love is protecting your loved ones, unconditional loyalty and being together no matter what the circumstances.. they have loved their siblings/family this way which is why their siblings are their strength as well as their weakness.. and now they feel the same towards each other.. this is a story about two people similar in some ways but different in many others (due to their experiences) coming together in an arranged marriage. The circumstances may not be that of an acceptable arranged marriage but it was arranged in a forced way.. They realise that fortunately they have found great partners in each other.. And now they are slowly working towards accepting it and building their relationship..

Shivaay has made a huge progress and I love the growth in his character.. He has accepted Annika as his wife and will now protect her from everything that comes their way.. When it comes to physical intimacy, their relationship has gone through so much that all the issues need to be resolved and they need to be comfortable with each other to take the next step.. and I agree.. in this case Annika is more of a concern than Shivaay.. I think for him the NKK issue is just about him having all information no matter where it leads to.. it doesn't have anything to do with his decision to have kids or have a future with his wife.. From what I see in his character's progression, he has realised the flaws in his prejudices as Annika defies his beliefs and now he needs information only so as to protect his future with her..When Pinky raised the issue about Shivaay Singh Oberoi not knowing about the blood that flows through his children's veins.. he dint flinch but he wanted the information so that nobody could ever point a finger at his wife like his mother has been trying to.. whereas in Annika's case, she has faced so much in her life that she is still a closed book (taking tinnier baby steps towards opening up).. she has never had the luxury of having a permanent relationship in her life barring Sahil (and even for his custody she had to fight so much).. so you can see how difficult it is for her to accept that this is a permanent relationship and her family forever..

And this is why Shivaay has to take it very slow.. slowly he keeps assuring her to have faith in their relationship and their future together.. plus even when she realised she loves Shivaay her concern was that now he will become her weakness.. she never imagined having a good loving life partner who would love her for who she is..! For her to let go off her inhibitions, realise that this marriage is more than trust, loyalty and friendship.. and take the next step in their relationship.. she still needs to accept from her heart and mind that he is her husband for life and they will stay together always.. if you remember at the end of the jungle track Shivaay says that this is a life long journey and it will take time.. I think it was also for the audience to understand that it is a journey, it will be beautiful but will take its own pace..!

As for annika, I feel her fear/insecurities are very deep rooted rather than shivaay's NKK because

she has seen lose all her life. She has to fight for everything in her life.

Like she said to shivaay that "bhagwan ko pta nhi mujhse kya michmichi machti hai ke thodi si khushi dete hai to uske badle me kuch bahut bada le lete hai"

Her another dialogue in last episode "hamesha is tarah trailor khusiyon ka tha lekin film B-grade sad". So whenever she gets happy her fear increases more that this happiness will go. Thats is why even though Shivaay keeps assuring her but she is not able to fully come out of her fear. This is fear which she lived all her life, faced it so it will take some time for her.

Some people say that why is it so hard for her to believe that shivaay accepted her fully and will not go away from her but they are not getting that she has lived fear of lossing happiness/or infact have seen sadness wrapped in happiness bubble so it is hard for her to fully let go of her fear. She is coming out of that zone slowly but we need to give her sometime.

I can see she is now in beta version of biwi mode😆 bollywood wet hair waking, blaming her pati for not being romantic in jungle ,for not getting hint to stay there alone😆 etc etc.. but still long way to go

Ps. Although logical brain screams this is sooo true, the illogical and crazy heart still wishes for shivika firey scenes😉😆sorry yaar😆 am so tired looking at their foreheads😉
