Hi,
I'm Sakura, those who read You and I Collide, may know me, for those who didn't; Nice to meet you!!🤗
So I'm basically trying my hand at some RiKara fictions and usually I write them on Alternative Universes. This one, you are about to read is similar in that sense. It has nothing to do with cannon's main plot, but the same characters and some prominent twists will be featured.
My Gauri is not your 5th pass from Bareilly, she is different and there are shades to her character than the absolute white and devotional girl we see on screen. Hopefully I'll manage to make you like her as the story progresses.
My Omkara is gray - yes - you read it right - he is gray and that too with a reason. He will do somethings harsh, make some bitter enemies and take some stupid decisions along the way, but then again I hope you'll stick with him till the end.
There is a character I've fished out from IB here, who is not featured in DBO, even in IB his importance is questionable. But, here he will play the kingmaker, keep your eye out for him. (Did you already guess who that is?😉)
About updates, they won't be frequent, but I will update whenever I can and I plan to finish it ASAP. Hopefully you'll be there to see this journey through to its destination.😊
I think that's enough for now enjoy the prologue below!
PROLOGUE
She had always known he was a gorgeous man; even without his eyes smoldering her with that golden fire in their dark depths, even without his fingers mapping every inch of her skin, or his lips tracing hers in sensuously gentle movements, she had been terribly attracted to him.
But now, standing there leaning against the threshold, her arms folded against the hastily buttoned up shirt that reached her knees; she wondered what a glorious sight he made in the crisp sunlight streaming in from the glass wall he was facing.
He had his arms folded, his back turned to her. In the golden light her eyes could trace the lines of his sculpted muscles, watch the shadows ripple over them as he breathed. His aura overwhelmed her, so much so that she could not stand the pull she felt anymore.
Her arms slid around his torso as she pressed her cheek against his back, smiling a little to herself. She could feel him stiffening under her touch, he did not turn around to embrace her.
"I was waiting for you," she muttered nuzzling against his skin.
"Why?" he asked darkly, "didn't get the proper headline yet?"
The step she took backwards had been a stunned one, her arms fell back to her sides numb from shock. He turned to face her, arms crossed and jaw tight. There was a fury burning behind his icy gaze.
"Because you've already got your story, right Miss. Gauri Kumari Sharma, reporter from Real TV?"
