The family had their jaws dropped as they were stunned at Rudra's sudden announcement. He looked for his brothers, Shivaay went to answer the phone call and Om was no where to seen. Jhanvi gave Rurda a clear, stern look that he ignored as his eyes met with Soumya who was staring at him as her tears continued to roll down her rosy cheeks. As he smiled at her he felt someone pinching his biceps, giving him no chance to react the next moment he was dragged by Dadi grabbing from his ear. "D-dadi!" Soumya tried stopping Dadi but she was pretty fast contrary to her age
"Mr Rudra, till now we were used to hear Date Hogayi, Break up hogaya. Don't you think shaadi bhi hogayi is a bit too much to handle, Beta." As tej took steps forward Rudra felt terrified. He didn't expect being bombarded with so many questions. He was puzzled. The whole family circled around him. He was feeling dizzy. He looked at Soumya hoping she will say something but she was equally confused as how to reveal that they had a drunken marriage.
"Why are you staring at her?" Dadi grabs him by his chin and tilts his head "Are you teasing her again. Rab di Sou I am going to beat the crap out of you this time, see you made her cry.Kyun her waqt satata rehta hai" As Dadi says Soumya wipes away her tears
(rudra cuts in) "Dadi, if you look closely wo khushi k ansoo hain ."
"Jhanvi my love, didn't I warn you that we wouldn't even have a clue about your sons getting married on their own." Tej gets Sarcy. "Tej, what does this matter has to do with Om?" Jhanvi didn't like Tej's comments at all
"Dad, Mom, please now you both don't start fighting" Rudra comes in between
"Soumya, don't you have anything to say Beta. Can you explain please?" Jhanvi asks Soumya who even if she wanted to but was afraid so she remained silent. Anika goes near Soumya to console her.
"See, her silence says it all." Tej taps Rudra's shoulder. "Hamari Shaadi ho gayi, kya itna he kafi nahin aap sab k liey. When, how, where, why does it even matter." Rudra knew that it wouldn't be easy for the family to digest the fact but he never expected things to turn sour.
"O Khottiya! Soumya can't become your wife just because of the Vermillion. Shivaay and Anika exchanged garlands, it's not just Varmala it is a vow in which they promised to be united always. Their Kanyadaan was done. Then Agni became a witness of their marriage. The priest was also present and said Vedic prayer over the fire, the most important they took seven laps around that fire and then Shivaay filled Anika's hair parting with Vermilion and also stringed Mangalsutra around her neck[/I] as Dadi narrates the rituals RuMya get nostalgic remembering the exact happenings.
"Hum ne bhi ye sab kuch kiya , Dadi. Aik dum Same to Same." Rudra got all serious now after realising that he should have told everything sooner.
"Is it? Then why nobody remembers it? Tumhare sapne mein hui shaadi? Jhanvi asks Rudra
"Sapne mein nahin, Pune mein". Everybody turns hearing Om saying this. Om had a brown envelope in his hand that made Rudra raise his one eyebrow wondering what is inside it and how does he know. Om takes out their wedding certificate and a CD. He plays the CD. Everyone gathers around the TV except RuMya who stood behind the pillar and were peeking from there.
"Tumhare paet mein kuch rukta nahin hai" RuMya start arguing on who told him
"I didn't tell him. Ok. I bet it was you and now you are playing innocent". Soumya
"Oh no! Where did this video come from?" Rudrq gets shocked seeing video getting played
"Why do they look so high, unusual to their behaviour towards each other." Tej senses something off with their attitude. But only RuMya knew that they were drunk.
"They can't stop fighting in front of us and look at them so happily getting married." Jhanvi says. The Oberois get embarrassed as they saw Rudra planting a kiss on Soumya's cheek.
"Did you really kiss me?" soumya asks
"Do you call this a kiss? Don't get hyper Sumo. Control your emotions." Rudra defends himself. They all turn their gazes at RuMya who were smiling foolishly.
"O bete ki." Anika gets all excited. "Shouldn't you all be proud of Rudra that he finally gathered courage to accept this marriage that happened just because of a confusion? Shouldn't you all be respecting his decision? You guys have no idea how difficult this whole month has been for them struggling to forget about the accidental marriage." Om words left the whole family thinking
"Tum ye sab pehlay say jantey thay ?" Tej questions Om
"Yes, Mr Oberoi! "
"Ager tum O ko bata sakte they, tou hamein kyun nahin Rudra" Jhanvi says. Rudra shakes his head denying that he told him and points his finger towards Soumya saying that she told him
"It was because Rudra wanted some time to think about this marriage before disclosing" shivaay adds in. Om wonders now how did Shivaay know. Om knew it because he was the one receiving the post which was for Mr. & Mrs. Oberoi. Shivaay winks at Om assuring him to get the things sorted before further arguments. RuMya were fuming and accusing eachother
"Jab isk bhaiyon ko sab patta tha tou hum budhon ko batane ka kya faida tha?" Dadi felt disappointment as he should've told at least her.
"No Dadi, it's not like that" ShivOmRu say
"B-billu Jee ko meine roka tha bataney say. As you all know how were things going difficult for all at that time. We were looking for a perfect time to disclose" Anika jumps in to save her beloved Billu making ShivKara & RuMya equally confuse.
Rudra scratches his head" Pakka, this is your doing, just like you told Anika didi about you being a love Angel."
"Shutup ok! If I'm saying I never yold anyone that believe it. As I am Soumya not a cry baby like you" soumya sticks her tongue out that irks Rudra
"I am not a cry baby, I am Rudra baby for you" Rudra gets all cheesy with his wifey
"Jese lady baba k Shivaay Baby" Soumya jokes about Rudra calling himself baby. They both crack up
"Seriously you two?" ShivKara were left in an awe seeing RuMya cracking up as they both were making up stories to save them.
"Bhaiya!" Rudra comes running with both his arms open asking for a hug. The trip hugs
"Thankyou Bhai Log!" Rudra
"Didn't we promise to never keep any secrets?" ShivKara ask Rudra who was making faces "Jese aap donon k tou koi secret he na hon". ShivKara had no answer
"Bhabhi, Come join us". Rudra pulls Anika in as she also played her part
" Aur hamari Bhabhi?" ShivKara ask Rudra but were looking at Soumya who was clearly shy and pleasantly surprised on hearing them accept her as Rudra's wife. Rudra was left blushing
"Soumya idher aa puttar" As Soumya was coming to join Obros in a hug Dadi calls her. She goes near her and stands redpectfully unable to look into her eyes. Dadi smiles, kisses her forehead and takes off her necklace and makes Soumya wear it. "Ye hamara pushteni haar hai, isko sambhal k rakhna puttar." Soumya touches Dadi's feet and she blesses her with long and happy married life
"Soumya,." Tej's sudden words left everyone a bit surprised
"J-jee uncle". Soumya hesitates
"I know it will be difficult to resist but ... Don't turn into an idiot while living with one". The whole family cracked up and this was least expected from Tej but Rudra realised after couple of seconds what exactly his dad meant and he was staring at Soumya and his Dad who were sharing a good laugh. His gaze stopped at the person standing with a big flower bouquet. He approached him. He gave him a frowned look at kept string at him." What brings you here , Royaan? Why did you bother to spend so much on this?"
"This is for you... And your wife" reyaan said with the most pleasant smile Rudra had ever witnessed on him.
Here is my lame writing about RuMya. I hope it didn't bore you guys much. Do leave your precious comments to let me now how it was.
