But if I would dare make a guess, based on the story arc Shivaay and Annika have had, I'd say the swap will be voluntary but unhappy.

it looks like Shivaay is being pushed into rescuing Annika from becoming the wife of an obsessively jealous man. Something Daksh will say during their challenge is going to make Shivaay fear for Annika's future as his wife. Perhaps he has heard of that infamous 'all nighter" alibi she gave Shivaay to the cops and demands his own.

The melodrama is toned down with Shivaay and Annika, as they are pragmatic and sensible people. Annika is being victimized at present , only thing I'm worried about is if Shivaay misunderstands her so called "one night together" with Daksh.

So I'll be expecting a desperate Shivaay, backed up by OmRu , trying to save an angry Annika by marrying her.

unless the wedding doesn't happen at all. just almost .

With Daksh stating his unholy intentions maybe Shivvay starts digging and checking up on Daksh's background. He probably finds something dark and unsettling about his past relationships with other gullible girls who may have mysteriously disappeared, abandoned after marriage or something like that. Something that lacks concrete evidence to take to the cops or even bring forward to Annika and his family but gives him a bad feeling about Annika's future with Daksh.
He probably tries to reason gently with Annika to break up with Daksh and does not succeed. When he has reached the end of his patience he probably asks her why she would marry someone if there is even the slightest evidence that he is the wrong guy for her. In her pain she may fling his statements she overheard, while he was with Om, back at him. She might tell him that this will prove once and for all that she is not obsessed with him and will ensure she is out of his life forever.
Shivvay probably reels from the shock of the revelation that he has been the direct cause of Annika's decision to marry Daksh and for not budging from it. He knows now that he cannot retract that statement he made and nothing he says right now will make Annika believe otherwise. He knows exactly how headstrong and self-destructive she can be when it comes to her self-respect and pride. They both are, after all, two of a kind. He has no other alternative but to right this wrong himself or face the guilt of condemning her to a life of horror and live with it for the rest of his life.

Either ShiTia and DaNika are getting married on the same day or maybe only ShiTia are getting married(Doesn't matter).. Robin is the Tia's jealous husband.. Shivaay is worried about Anika because he has realized that Daksh has major issues(read he is a creep) but he is also sure that Anika is marrying Daksh to spite him(yeah right 😕). Bua is trying to get Sahil's custody and create trouble for Anika.. Robin is also the stalker..

On the morning of the wedding, Robin's love for Tia forces him to reconsider their plan.. In order to stop this wedding, he releases a copy of Shivaay and Anika's hug @ Anika's home to the media. Obviously this means that Anika and Obros izzat in trouble (also the Obros stocks are impacted..) Additionally, Bua tells Anika that she is going to use this video and the fact that Anika herself had confessed that she has spent the night with Shivaay to get Sahil's custody.. Shivaay also hears this Bua talk..

Being the practical people that they are 😆.. Shivaay suggests marriage (since family comes first )...

Anika is not happy with this suggestion but accepts it due to Sahil and maybe dadi..

Omru/Jhaanvi/dadi/priyanka/somu are very happy with this suggestion..

Tej thinks it is needed for Obros empire..

Pinky is upset about this..

Anika is still furious with Shivaay for his comments about her character and thinks that he is marrying her only for his business and Obros izaat..

Shivaay is upset that she accepted Daksh's proposal and assumes she is only marrying him because of Sahil's custody..

So, they both 'fake hate' each other😭

Both also feel guilty about leaving their respective partners(Tia and Daksh) at the altar.. Anika remains Daksh's friend post marriage which will irritate Shivaay until Daksh's truth is revealed..

Loop-hole(s): Anika could have married Daksh and that might have helped her get Sahil's custody.. So, No incentive to marry Shivaay.. But can't come up with anything better😆Somehow I also feel that suspender ACP will be involved in all this but don't know how😃

You recall that previously Tej and Svetlana's MMS was also leaked to the media and that was much more controversial than Shivika's hug, and if that couldn't dent Oberoi stocks and izzat then I don't see Shivika hug doing much. It probably isn't that big of a deal IMO...and Annika lying about spending whole night with Shivaay and media channels flashing this is probably more controversial. If Bua didn't use this to get Sahil's custody then why will she use the hug MMS? Judging from what we've seen on the show so far, izzat really isn't that important to the Oberois and Oberoi Groups stocks probably takes precendence so i could see this being a factor leading up to Shivika wedding.

Also, as history suggests, villains/vamps on this show always unintentionally end up being cupids. Even now, Daksh and Tia (and especially Daksh) are forcing Shivaay and Annika to introspect and face their feelings for each other rather than running away. So on the actual wedding day, I expect one of them to make a mistake or create circumstances that will lead to Shivika getting married.

Well bride swap is already ruled out with Gul's clarification. I don't think there will be a groom swap either. Going by Shivaay's dialogues in the show, it's going to be an intimate wedding ceremony based on mutual consent...so both will knowingly get married. Willingly or not is another matter. Right now it seems like these two will be getting into a marriage of compromise. Other scenarios strictly don't align with Shivaay and Annika's characterisations and their story so far...
