If the show does not garner TRPs, means its show's and Channel's loss. The more the TRP the show gets the more it will get money from the sponsors, and thus profit. Its all TRP game.

ya thats true but sometimes revenue sources are varied

On sony once a lower TRP show got extension because of certain other revenue sources like International viewership etc and a show with a bit higher TRP got axed

So it is not just TRP mathematics

Maybe Sony was not satisfied with their future story. But Sony daily soaps do not have good TRPs.
