You always come up with such interesting posts and I simply love reading them !!

When I first started to watch IB and they introduced the concept of Mind , heart and soul, I always thought that Rudra was the soul!!

The carefree pampered brother, the funloving playboy who was doted on by his 2 brothers seemed an apt description but then my definition widened, he seemed innocent and a kid at heart, pure and vulnerable, loved and parented and protected by Shivaay with Om as his strength and confidante. He felt so much and I thought that he was a combination of both, the heart and the soul.

The episodes progressed and he was shown to be a kind of glue that held this family together , bringing a smile to everyone's face with his crazy antics and intervening as a peacemaker at the precise moment when things turned sour between his 2 elder brothers made me rethink again, feel that he was not such a kid after all...that he percieved things that nobody else did...that foolishness he portrayed was a kind of mask to protect himself from getting more hurt, a means to trivialise more harsh truths... of the terrible marriage that his parents had, that he was an ignored son in the Oberoi family , that his own parents are obviously more partial to his elder brother! So I kind of concluded that as far as Rudra was concerned , he was a combination of all three...

I feel that his prolonged dependance on Soumya has just made him trust her and now become possessive of her..a feeling he has , till now ,had for no one except his 2 brothers. (I think he is just like Shivaay in that aspect!)

While yesterday's outburst was a bit surprising, I think, its just because in his heart, he has accepted the marriage as real and Soumya as his wife, no matter how much he may deny it.And the idea of a third person coming in between , to break up that bond that is unacceptable and repulsive to him at soo many levels, probably one of the reasons why he was running away from commitment for so long in the first place!! Just my thoughts!!

In both cases rumya and shivika shivaay and rudra are the first ones to fell in love but i have a prediction on om's love story the girl will be the first one to fell in love i had thought shivaay will be the most hard one to manage when in love and anika will have tough job managing him what rumya is turning out to be I had thought shivika to be like that I had expected aggressive shivaay when jealous but he is turning out to be the most soft one I had thought shivaay to get aggressive and jealous seeing Anika with daksh but he is moving away from between them shivaay in this track looks more hurt than jealous he is getting hurt seeing daksh Anika

Gul is very smart aggressive shivaay would have ruined Anika for viewers aggressive shivaay was not working with viewers but what didn't work for shivika is perfectly working for rumya I always disliked aggressive male lead but leenesh is perfectly portraying that and I am loving rumya

Rudra and Soumya have always the the cutest and sweetest couple. However what we saw here was unleashed Rudra who is stubborn I'm not letting anyone even touch what's his.

And again today we have the Rudra breaking his own rules, going against his own rejection scene! So I don't repeat myself, I'm going to cut/paste something I wrote on the Rumya issue on a different post, when I was discussing the issue of Rudra and what the reason for his marriage might be, with a friend: (slight edits of my own words, for content)

Firstly, I have to tell you, I am SUPER biased in Rudra's favor and even if it turns out Rudra killed Gayatri, pushed ACP's sister in front of Om's car and somehow is Tia's creepy D, I will still forgive him completely. But this is the thing--I think he is being made to grow up, via this marriage, at a rate that would literally never have happened otherwise. And I think for the plot, Gul needs him to be both more mature and responsible and NOT alone. Alone, this is something Rudra couldn't have pulled. After all, why does she want two first year/second year college kids tied in the tightest of bonds? Because that is what kids do nowadays, get married while drunk? No, right?

I think its because without the sobering, forced to grow up, take responsibility for another person, become a team aspects of marriage, there is no way Rudy would be the mature Rudra Singh Oberoi he will need to be, very soon. And I think Gul needed Rudra's maturity to happen now, given Om's clear unravelling, and Shivaay's potential breakdown if somehow he misses out on Anika's love ( say, if, even after technically marrying her, she for some reason hates him while he loves her, as per the promo). The only Oberoi bro left to fix things for the elders will have to be Rudra, who will NEED to have a support system beyond Om and Shivaay if he is to work on his brothers.

He will also need brains and a partner in crime. Now Rudra is not your smartest cookie, and he, frankly, has the best ideas when his Love Angel is whispering in his ear. Rudra's emotional maturity probably has to be light years ahread of the adorable idiot we saw crying for MUMMY and deathly afraid of a makkhi in the Karvachauth episode. But when they sat for the Puja, I found it telling that Soumya for the first time in the show, actually SAID the words "Anika and Shivaay are a made for each other couple. And THEY should be the ones doing couples Puja together, they cant even look away" Previously, though she clearly saw what was going on, she never once interfered or said anything against the Shitia wedding. Its interesting that it took her to be married to Rudra to say exactly what he has believed for 150 episodes.

Also, I really don't want the Rumya wedding reveal to happen ANYTIME soon. Like, not for at least another 100 episodes, all the while building and building Rudra and Saumya's dependence and love for each other. I want them to see each other as partners, as husband and wife. I want Rudra absolutely panting for Soumya, while she keeps him at arms length, while he romances the ever living daylights out of her. He has so much experience with women, I want him bumbling and useless when it comes to HIS woman, and I want them to really be in love before it blows apart.

And THEN I want there to be a real JUDAII kind of track for them, both totally in love, both absolutely miserable, with the elder brothers helping them and figuring out how Rudra can get her family to let him have his wife back. I want them to be in love until the truth is revealed in a spectacularly awful fashion, and then have Saumya's furious, embarrassed, ashamed mother and nani come and take her away, because COME ON, they would HAVE TO remove her from the Oberoi Mansion and keep these two far apart if they found out the truth. And its not exactly like Tej and Janvi and Dadi could just quietly get them a divorce, they got for real MARRIED, and its very valid looking, too.

I want Soumya's family to reject the Oberois, because of Rudra's past reputation, to maybe blackmail Saumya into going back by bringing up her dead brother and how ashamed he would be of her secret drunk wedding. I want a villain there, a proposal they accept for her, maybe this Rehyan, then I want a nice tragic wedding track and everything going against Rumya until his Bros and the Bhabis help these kids out. If the divorce document comes from Saumya's family, Rudra will go INSANE and will need his brothers in the future, and Anika, and XYZ whoever, to help him get his wife back. EEEKKK!!!! ADORABS

What a brilliant take... But yeah I would love to see this track... Though I don't expect any such thing as it's gul show plus Indian tv... Where even best of shows are scrapped without warning... Hmmm... And yeah I am silent on this forum but I always felt... Rudra is exactly gonna turn like tej... Except... With a strong backup of shivom... Sometimes I wonder ur story might just relate to tej and jhanvi as well... Suddenly we see a Rudra and not Rudy nowadays... He's so possessive and daring of what's his that when he hurt Reyan he didn't have an ounce of guilt or fear until soumya spoke to him. He's Like one unleashed animal who is actually with a true face only with soumya and with a mask on with all including his bros... And his hitting of Regan shocked even soumya. She's very unfamiliar with this rudra... He's no more the dumbbell oberoi who is for world... As nd this scares her.. Intimidates her... This rudra will def hurt soumya unknowingly but am sure he will never let her go out his life now . For him subconsciously she's his wife and it's his duty to know about her whereabouts... As for soumya... I think rudra will rather unknowingly force her to accept this marriage and follow the rules with ever growing possessiveness and then she might realise... That only her voice can tame him in a moment... We have a nice journey ahead... Gearing up...

Heyy... this is my first post on IB forum. I'm not that "invested" in this show, yet Rumya are becoming irresistible with each passing episode. I've always felt a tab bid more protective and biased towards Rudra and Soumya. I instantly liked them from the very first time I saw them on screen. Thought Shivaka is painted as the ultimate OTP of the show ( and I do enjoy them as well ) but it's these two adorable kids who bring a wide grin on my face and keeps me hooked and leaves me wanting more. I've never followed a GulK show before cause they're way too dramatic for my liking but still IB is growing on me. I really hope they maintain this momentum.

P.S cool analysis. Puts Rudra in a whole new perspective.

Hey im gonna also paste what i wrote in reply to this post in the other thread.

Ur rudra love😆 Eeeks ur ideas for rumya totally sync with mine, when thinking about their future storyline i always thought the moment they get the love feeling sumos family might play hindrance to it. I totally agree on rudra needing to get married to become mature n not in those cliche ways. Rudra in his right mind would never have gotten married to anyone, i always felt it would be sudden under dramatic circumstances. I dont get why some felt so opposed to it if u look at rudras character this as a story plot totally makes sense, rudra does not view marriage like om or shivay they wouldnt run from it when the time came n understand their responsibilities well most of the time😆. Now with this reyaan on the marriage train im worried tht rudra will soon snap n spill, n we might see rumya having to accept this relationship due to the elders. They need to show sumos family sooner or later or at least give her a sounding board. As for them being partners i can totally see them helping om n shivika esp the older couple under the guidance of dadi😆 but first they need to find a way to a true friendship with no reyaan around n also im still not sure if romi is gone for good, i fear a revenge plot from the psycho n sumo might be the target. I really hope the cvs try to at least use half of these ideas they have so much potential for rumya😉😆

First of all another beautiful piece of writing.

Exactly I don't want their marriage secret to be out anytime soon. And I don't want Rudra to realize his feelings anytime soon as well. I want Rudra to think how can he fall for a girl who eats paratha, like he said in first episode "He will never fall for a girl who eats paratha".

I want to see them fighting their emotions, because only then they would know they can't. But, before anything else, I want Rudra to question himself why is he doing this. And then Soumya to do the same. Because, honestly speaking he is just treating her like one of his possessions at the moment. He think she only belongs to him. But WHY is the question she needs to ask. Yesterday, when he said "She is jealous" he was not kidding or sort of that. The intensity he had in his eyes, clearly proved how dead serious he was and with the answer he received, he had more of disbelief in eyes than disappointment. He wasn't ready to believe that his concern for Romi is not affecting her in any way.

From the segments its clear that Reyhaan will bring ring and their engagement will happen (Though, it was RuMya's indirectly). But still, that means we may have Soumya's marriage track ahead. And I tell you, it would be super amazing to see that. Rudra will go INSANE as you said. He will do even crazier things.And maybe he'll hurt her in that process knowingly or unknowingly. And that would be a treat to watch. The soul purpose o this track is to show character development of Rudra. We have never seen him so serious, we have never seen him getting aggressive, we have never seen him behaving like this. I want him to realize the real reason behind his doings and then make Soumya realize that they belong to eachother and the reason is none other than 'LOVE'. And, ofcourse after that they'll have to introduce her family members and ofcourse they will not accept the alliance and will plan to have divorce and as we all know. divorce doesn't happen in Oberoi family they'll not let that happen. I want Rudra to fight for his love. And I believe as you said Soumya's family will blackmail her maybe by using her past against her and Rudra's reputation that he is nothing but a playboy. And maybe she'll not give him bhav then like he did in the first place and he'll realize then only.

I can't explain how I'm falling hard for this couple right now.
