So I found your Rudra post and had to write something on it.

First of all, I agree. Rudra IS going to be the greatest Ishqbaaz of all. That would be the irony as he was the one who was not into love or marriage in the least. Shivaay is not into love, but he is into marriage. Om thinks he loves Ridhimma. (at least he acted like he did, but does not). He merely has a co-dependent relationship with her and she is simply a crutch for him. That is why this one betrayal from her will be enough to send her packing. She has shown she is not the person he thought she was. Then one strike and your out. Ridhimma had an opportunistic side always, which we saw in the Ishana chapter. But Om never really saw it and now he will. But siding with "Mr Oberoi" will send her out in 1 second flat. Not even a backward glance. Cold as Ice Mr Omakara Oberoi. The man is an enigma. Writes poetry about love, but he doesn't know it himself! He will have to recite his own poem to himself. "Ishq par huwa yakeen, ishq ho jane ke baad!" Something like that! Hope I got it right! We are yet to see Om as an "Ishqbaaz".

Coming to Rudy...he was the guy who just flirted, had flings, was obsessed with his looks and the looks of others. (well girls anyway) and seemed to be shallow and judging people on outward appearance. At least this is the version he shows the world. Then the version with his family. Spoilt, indulged Mumma's / Dadi's boy type. Makes a drama for the smallest things. He acts like a baby! Then the version for his Brothers. The loving and mischievous brother, who loves his brothers to death and only really needs them. He himself said that he only needs girls sometimes for "biological needs". It was so simply put and there was nothing even offensive about it. He was simply honest! I love that about Rudra. He's the most honest out of all three! Even more than Mr "I Love Truth" Omkara. The depth of his feelings were first explored when Shivaay was in hospital.

Then enter Soumya AKA Sumo! The only girl who just dismissed Rudra once she realized he was shallow. Told him exactly what she thinks of him to his face. No frills. Threw water on him, laughed at his physique and basically treated Rudra Singh Oberoi the playboy with contempt! That got his attention. Sumo was a challenge, a person he loved to hate. But he could never ignore her. I know this analysis is about Rudy. But I have to say that I just love Soumya's character. She's no one's fool and her being Love Angle has just added a new layer to her character.

Love Angle has been an important angel in the RUMYA story. We saw while he was being catty to Somuya, he was praising love angle to her. It was ironic that he had no idea that she was one and the same. From that line "I love my Love Angle" we knew his fate was sealed. He was going to fall for her and fall hard. He was already crushing on Love Angle big time. He was a fan. He kind of idolized her. Then he finds out she is Soumya. He feels totally betrayed, because he had confided in her many times of his admiration for Love Angle, and used to follow her advice almost blindly. He trusted Love Angle and by then he had started to trust Soumya too. This was a double whammy for him. In one evening he lost Love Angle and his new friend Sumo. The boy did not take it well, and being called a "Kid" got the worst reaction ever! Loved that scene I watched it like 8 times!👏

Now coming to this intoxicated marriage... they both somehow knew it was actually happening and didn't really stop it. It's like they went with the flow. Subconsciously they were both consenting to this. Somewhere deep inside their conscience they have both chosen each other. But neither has actually accepted or even identified their connection for what it is. Two halves of a perfect whole. This is the moment Rudra needs Love Angle the most, but he cant go to her because SHE is the one he's unwittingly married! It's irony at it's best and worst for Rudra. He already started to have feelings for Soumya before the wedding. So now even though he SAYS, "Lets forget this and stay away from each other", he cant actually do it. He cant practice what he preaches. We saw he didn't like Riyaan's proximity to Soumya even before. He had started to dislike Riyaan. Now he just cant stand him. In his mind Sumo is HIS now. So whatever he says, he cant stop reacting to the knowledge that he feels he has "rights" over her.

He is a very possessive and jealous type of lover. He was never possessive of his "Bimbo" girlfriends. But Sumo is special. She is Love Angle. He's already crazy about her, but has not even identified it. He just knows he finds her "pretty and beautiful" sometimes and he calls these episodes "Dhore" as in attacks! But no man who feels nothing would act the way he does. Soumya has NO idea that Rudra is in love, that too with her! Rudra has no idea either. I am actually MOST excited for their story as theirs is the most unusual story. Rudra through this marriage will emerge as another Tej/Shivaay type. He will have more control and he will show his full potential. Since his involvement with Soumya we have seen a lot of "shades" in him. The guy has a lot of aspects to him. He goes crazy and acts crazy like the kid everyone calls him when he wants.(Like the random hugs and dancing etc). But that is NOT who he is. Even his Brothers have not witnessed the side of him that Soumya has seen. The nasty way he acted with Riyaan, his vindictiveness, his reaction to the Love Angle episode, his anger and aggression and now his possessive "I'm you husband" behavior would shock even his Brothers. THIS is why Soumya is special. Rudra has shown her the REAL him!

Very long post. But had a lot to say! 😉 But if I were to sum up my post in one line..."Rudra is in Love". ❤️ That lines sums it all!

I am exactly like you. From the very first scene of Rudra and Soumya I was "In" with them! I liked that Gul had tried her hand at a totally different love story this time within the Brothers drama. Shivika started off with the arrogance and manhandling which is a signature mark of this producer. I was a bit put off by it coz it was "been there seen that" for me. I think they have big time turned that stuff down for Shivika and it's a lot better. Anika so far has had more self respect and personality than the some of Gul's previous female leads from various stories.

Same goes for Soumya. She is actually very direct and no nonsense and not at all a "bechari" type of girl. I like that! I was also not "Invested" in this show and was not even watching it for months, and then decided to check it out on Hotstar and now have caught up. I really like it so far. The overall story has some holes and some bloopers. But Rudra and Soumya's story always attracted me in it's different treatment. It was interesting to see the "Body Image" issue being tackled, that too with a fitness freak style character.

It's interesting to see that for the first time in his life Rudra has "Real" feelings for a girl, and that is someone who does not fit his perfect image. But that's the beauty of it. He cant control his feelings, and neither can he accept them at this stage. So it's translating as over possessive aggression. It's actually quite psychological and I love psychology. So to me, their equation is just delicious and I tune in to see what will happen next with them. I love all the characters and enjoy the Brother's chemistry a lot. But at this moment, the Love story that really gets me is RUMYA!

What a post ! I agree with your each and every point and the way you have analysed each shade of Rudra's character is BANG ON ! Call me biased but my favorite brother is Shivaay but nowadays Rudra's character just intrigues me leaving me wanting for more. He was the most expect-able character. I thought I knew how he was but man I couldn't be more wrong ! He truly is Tej Oberoi's son and nowadays the traits of his father are just popping out. But I would like to point out one thing here, you asked who is going to point out his love for Soumya other than Love Angel? The simple Answer is Sahil. .Yes and that's the most plausible thing that comes into my mind. Sahil is actually not just the fun factor in the show. He is mature , yet childish exactly like Rudra and he is going to make Rudra realize the love he has for Soumya. We already know Sahil will enter bri mansion now, due to Shivika's marriage and he is going to play the cupid for some extent of Shivika's story and then Rumya. Though Sahil is a child but he has shown more maturity than two or three characters combined. As we all know he likes Soumya , he is going to spend most of the time with Soumya or Rudra as Shivika and Om will have their respective tracks. He will bring the goodness of Soumya to Rudra and Vice versa. Looking forward to their track .

Bingo! I'm totally up for this unconventional love story. Rumya are not too mainstream and I dig it.

Soumya is very confident and is shown very comfortable with her body. She's beautiful in her own way and she embraces her body with elegance and confidence . Till now she is not shown getting hurt by Rudra's comments on her body, she never took his words to heart. But once she's fully aware of her feelings for him... she will get hurt and might start to feel insecure and self-conscious. She might feel unworthy. And it will ultimately lead to her rejecting him...not because of him but because of her own insecurities and self worth issues. Then it will be a treat to watch Rudra proving his love, how he has grown as a person and has learned to love her, just the way she is. All of her.

Honestly it's not gonna be easy for him to make her accept her feelings for him.

Right now Rudra's heart and mind are in a total chaos. He's deprived of his two channeling outlets... his bros and love angel. Hence this frustrated, aggressive outburst. He can't resist falling for her and it's messing with his mind. How can he fall for a girl who is a complete opposite of all the things he wants in his ideal partner. On top of it he finds her...his Sumo, beautiful. What sick game is his heart playing. And then comes the final nail on the coffin, he went ahead and married her. Poor guy was meant to loose it. He had it coming.

This whole tug-a-war with mind and heart is only gonna make him even more possessive and protective of her. Till he comes in terms with his love for her and some sort of an assurance that she also feels the same for him, he will continue to stake his claim and mark his territory. It's actually his fear of being aware of his growing feeling for her and his fear of being unaware on what will happen to him if he loose her. It's all coming out in a total whiplash and twisted way. Then with Reyaan thrown into this. We might see few fireworks post Diwali as well LOL

To me Rudra is surfacing as the combination of Tej and Shivvay - a junior version of course but definitely with the Oberoi killer instinct.
I know we feel like Shivvay is 'dragging his heels' right now but the monster with the "MINE!!! " look is surfacing more often now with Daksh pressing where it hurts the most.
