That being said, it doesn't matter what logic says about this. In tellywood, forceful pushing, pulling, slamming to walls, getting uncomfortably close in someone's personal space etc are considered romantic tropes meant to show love and affection. Gul Khan started this trend with her show Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and kept repeating it till now. And every time shows which show this kinda "romance" become hit. So no matter what our brains say about it...ab tou ye hi hai romance TV pe.

The love-hate relationship thing was actually started 16 years back by Ekta Kapoor in Kutumb!!!!

Hiten and Gauri went on to become a rage among the younger crowd who only had the good boy Mihirs and Oms as the hero!!!!

I mean yes she shouldn't have thrown a bucket of water on him but using physical force on a girl.Pulling and pushing her here and there forcibly bringing her close to you.Its a bit too much for me.I mean its hard now for me to see them as romantic partners.Just wanted to know what other's think?

I was thinking the same thing while watching the episode. This using of force is not romantic (as per me). I find it cruel. Bullying is not romantic or cute.

I get it, the cvs are trying to show that there is a thin line between love and hate but Shivaay and Anika have not even spoken to each other properly (other than arguing) so none of them have even the slightest feeling of any emotion other than hate for each other, hence I find the scenes even more useless.

I wasn't talking about the love-hate relationship. Where did I mention the nature of the love story in my post? I was talking about the way the romance is showed i.e. forceful pushing/pulling and slamming into walls while the guy is half naked and the girl is heaving as if getting an asthma attack. That became a rage with Geet. Ekta was too busy putting random camera angles for emphasis to establish this kinda romance.

The girl heaving like she is getting an asthma attack was there in Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand!!!!😆 😆 😆 😆

They were mocked at for that by the Khichdi team as "Bauji aap Pammi ki tarah aise ha ha (made a motion of deep breathing) mat khijiye"!!!!🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

The backed against the wall was there in Kahin Toh Hoga and subsequently in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil!!!!

But yes pushing and pulling and manhandling are definitely invented by Gul Ammi!!!!

I don't know how the girls in the audience look up to such a thing as romance!!!😕 😕 😕

For me I would want a guy who respects the heroine, motivates her and thinks of her as his equal!!!

He should always trust her and while occasionally be her knight in shinning armour but he should also trust her to get out of sticky situations by herself!!!😊 😊 😊

No pushing and pulling and manhandling and he shouldn't be rude to any women, much less the heroine!!!!😒 😒 😒 😒 😒

He shouldn't be rude to his subordinates also!!!!

He should preferably know how to cook (Om can cook yipee) and be the perfect son-in-law material (Sid anyone?)!!!😛 😛 😛

GUL AMMI!! 🤣 KHATAM! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Okay, you gotta forgive me for not having much knowledge about the classic shows of SP. I was too young to remember them all. But the kind of craze with Geet had generated with this kinda romance can't be debated. It literally set up an example with countless other shows followed. Most of all, Gul's her own shows 😆 It's so rare to find any romance in Gul's show which isn't some type of manhandling or invading a person's private space xD
