Hello everyone!
I can see that people are fighting over my post. My intention of making this post was never to spark a debate of theism vs atheism/ Islam vs other religions. I truly apologise in case this post has created unnecessary debates. I've almost completed my thesis, and I respect everyone's faith. My request to people is not to fight over this issue. Faith is a very personal thing and that's the reason I'm deleting this post as I don't want any fights over here.

Hi there lovely,
How are you doing?

I would like to preface this response by claiming that I in no way am a scholar in these subjects but as Muslim woman do know the video you watched is misleading and has taken Quranic verses out of context. Islam in fact, is one the most empowering and modern religion there is, though it may not seem so because of bad media and even mis-informed Muslims.

I am sorry I am short on time atm...but I will get back to you with a more detailed response.

Thanks! :)

Thank you ma'am! I'll be awaiting your views! I was very hesitant initially to post this video thinking that people would be offended! But I wanted to hear from people who follow Islam! Hence posted it here

Hi,

As a Muslim woman I can honestly say that the video that you've watched is someone who is spreading hate for Islam by taking things out of context.

I am not that learned but I did look into the the first bit about men being in charge of women and when translated correctly from Arabic to English it means men are the caretakers or guardians of women.

Those videos are misleading! Everything is taken out of context and twisted.
Islam regards women with the highest respect. 😊

If you don't mind can you explain me exactly how it is taken out of context. Actually I'm a doing a thesis on comparative theology and hence trying to learn about various religions
Thanks in advance :)

That's indeed sad! But I just wanted to know if this is only due to the conservative nature of Arabs or it has anything to do with religion.

Thanks for all your responses lovelies! So as I've said, I'm researching about Islam (basically all religions like Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism for my comparative theology thesis)and I used to stalk this forum earlier too and I've heard from a lot of women about how Islam gives women a lot of rights, so I thought of posting my doubts here as there are a lot of learned Muslim women in this forum.

I would love to hear the interpretations of these Quranic verses from Muslim women themselves and the context by which I can understand the actual meaning of them. Thanks a lot for your patience in writing responses to my query. Would love to hear a detailed explanation and interpretation of these verses.

Thanks and love to all
