I absolutely agree with you! Zara is clean at heart and she is very innocent and naive. It hurts me to watch her go around with her heart on her sleeve like this I can see the pain and heartbreak coming from a mile away! And it's fine, this is a show they can show what they want, but Kabeer used to show softer feelings towards her and regard her until now, where he acts like he's married to just anyone woman his father choose and that's that. She's a non-entity.

@red - I love you for saying this! 🤣 And you know what it makes me laugh because the same people who are saying they consummated their relationship are saying he still uncomfortable when she holds his hand or rests her head against his shoulder. SERIOSULY? You're telling me they've slept together and he's still shy holding her hand, even when they're just in their room together? Come on 🥱

He has no reason to answer her calls or give a proper explanation why he ignored them, but dare she say she wants to be out and about making a career 🤔

You are not in any way being selfish. We knew Kabeer would be like this, but it's like CVs showed no sort of transition for him. This much shyness in him has come out of nowhere. Heck even before marriage he used to look at her with some sort of affection now he could be married to Rukhsar for all anyone cares. It's like there's no difference? At least they should have shown him being soft towards her, then slowly and steadily becoming more busy with his duties and then show him at least be a little apologetic that he can't give her time?

It is not what the story is right now that is bothersome (minus the 'other woman' angle which I will always HATE), it is how they gone about telling it.

Bear with me please, i am using my cell so there was be confusing sentences thanks to autocorrect.

Coming back to Kabir, i just think his character has taken a 180 degree turn. I mean he was so into respecting women ( with regards to the scene where Zara spent the night at her parents where Kabir refused Zara sleeping on the floor and him on the bed) but now the most imp woman in his life, he cant seem to respect her 'basic' feelings. And, i say basic because having a job and working is very basic/normal. Most people work, and im here thinking maybe, as a couple Zabir never really discussed anything about their lives. When they had the little courtship period, they were looking of ways to end the relationship, so all of this is new. It just continues to hurt me that Zara is the 'life' of the relationship and Kabir doesn't even give a damn.
It seems as though Kabir was just waiting for the 'husband and wife physical relationship' to happen, to believe that everything is 'normal' now. (I do believe something happened) It just seems he was waiting for that to happen to believe that everything would be normal. Cuz prior to this, he was making some sort of effort, or looking at her lovingly or giving her some sort of attention. Now, he is behaving like he can care less about Zara. Or, im telling myself, seeing his character he knows very little about a woman in a man's life.

Kabir character is so complicated. But, one thing for sure both Kabir and Zara have strong personalities and characters, i believe Zara's character is stronger. And i cant wait until Rukhti is out, im gonna be able to watch the show like normal.

There's some interesting discussion going on here...
I haven't yet watched the episode and now not even planning to until there's some major change in the plot bringing in some positivity, usually I watch shows after they rn off some period like 100 or so episodes and when people still keep talking appreciating it but with ISA I fell into Zabeer's trap initially but now I'm okay and can wait for a good phase by only keeping in touch with the forum. From yt comments, I understood that many muslim men and women do think kabeer is right and the show is doing a good job in touching such sensitive topics but will the stance of the CV's satisfy few audience who're true feminists!!

I just wished they din't consummate as of yet but literally that's what is called honeymoon phase where couples are left alone with nothing much to do other than romance, there's also no external influence to drift them apart and everything looks surreal in that phase. ISA is dealing with reality, right after honeymoon phase where the couple comes back to reality and other family members start peeping into the relatonship, with such differences in the living styles and ideologies also creeping in, its no more so colourful.

Is it okay if the husband or in-laws don't manhandle the woman!! Is it really fine to control her since she's from the so called weaker sect of the society!! Doesa man have right to control woman as he's doing the earning part!! No, you're equal in the relationship, you've no right to hurt the other be it mentally or physically, mind it sometimes words do hurt more than actions.

For me, respecting each other is the topmost priority in a successful relationship, you might not agree with your partner but ignoring them or considering their wishes less important is morally wrong. I wished kabir won't do those things like ML's from other shows since he's a Maulvi and follows the holy books where women must have given equal importance to men but he proved me wrong, I guess education can't really change your mindset while upbringing does matter.

I wish Zara hits realtiy asap and right after that starts putting her opinions forward regardless of what others think about her, I guess her other problem would be her own parents supporting Kabeer's stance, patriarchial world you know where women are their own worst enemies.

If they could give us some mini scenes of kabeer analysising himself and questioning his feelings for zara. I'd be over the moon. But I think the cvs have missed that train, they can't give us anything now cus clash of nazariya is upon us now. So the earliest we could get this is either after his project actually starts or when ruks leaves the house for good.

I've not given up yet like I kind of have with kdb, but I'm gonna take little breaks and focus fully on exams.
This investor track and reconciling could take a while.

But yeh thanks for opening my eyes, I shouldn't find excuses for kabeers behaviour.

I think we're all just sick and tired mentally and physically of the same repetitive cycle of torture. We've all bore crap from other snf shows and in the past I've always started shows half way through to prevent disinterest developing. My recent one was kdb and along with arohi, jhanvi, hiba I'm sure it's safe to say we will only return if punnu drama ends forever.

I can' undo anything. But I can try to be patient. Maybe there's a wonderful sunrise behind this dark cloud.

I know what you mean. Wanting to avoid heartache is the exact reason I have just been reading updates and watching a few clips, haven't watched a whole episode this whole week yet because updates themselves put me off.

@bold - Exactly. I too feel it's a little too late. That's why my only hope is seeing a strong, independent, clear-headed Zara Siddiqui soon 😃

Absolutely. We seriously are sick and tired of the same tropes, same repetitive tracks in same repetitive shows. No one asks for perfect storylines and characters but at least keep them IN character once you establish them?! That's all we want. At least that's what I want 😆

Love your last line! Hope is everything 😊

Urgh I know how annoying it is to be on IF on phone 🥱😆

I don't know what else to add, you have basically said EVERYTHING in my mind! 👏 He is not respecting her basic feelings. I hope like he asked her the other day if she was happy, he asks her again and she tells him that 'no I'm not happy because you're not letting me work/live up to my potential as an individual'. Let's see him do that, but I doubt it'll happen :|

I believe Zara is stronger too. Don't think Rukhsar will be out of the picture so quickly, I don't think we're that lucky

That's a good idea actually, to wait for the shows to be at least 100 episodes or so in so you can get a feel for the plot. Unlike me who got attached to Zabeer quickly and is now regretting it 😳 The men (especially) who think Kabeer is doing right, are the same men on youtube comments who have always said Zara is in the wrong. So their opinion means zilch to me, no offense to them. The only time I have ever agreed with Kabeer's stance over Zara's is during the episode where they visit dargah and Kabeer refuses to.

I still don't think they consummated. I think they got intimate to some level but I don't think they consummated. Also it just makes me laugh that if they have, this man is still confused and shy about holding her hand even in their bedroom. That seems too odd, in my opinion. 😕

Agree with you, respect is the most important. In my opinion, it is even more important and foremost, than love. Respect should definitely be there if you wanna make any relationship work! It is indeed a pity he hasn't been showing her much, nor will he show her much when the investor thingy happens :(

@bold - Exactly. And I like how you mentioned women are their own worst enemies, it reminded me of another gripe I have with this show. This whole women empowerment thing, are they planning to showcase at the same time they show us Rukhsar planning to murder Zara or her dad or her Ammi or God knows who else, and planning to snatch another woman's husband? Because that is just gross and I'm sick of it. Rukhsar is beyond redemption already, in my eyes. I'll still never forget how Zara gave her blood to save her life and this is what Zara is repaid with?

If I was Zara's husband, and at this stage I wish I was because I would cherish her like she deserves, I would remind that churdail Rukhsar EVERYDAY how my wife saved her life. Everyone seems to have forgotten such an important thing, even Zeenat who was ready to touch Zara's charan in thanks that day when she'd saved her useless, good-for-nothing, churdail sister 🤬

Very important post. and I loved reading the discussions
I am impressed by cvs showing the mindset of Eastern men that too muslim ones perfectly. though I hate to see it through Kabeer's character. but we have to admit it. most of Eastern men think the same.. that a woman's responsibility is taking care of home. it is sad but true.
I am eagerly waiting for Zara to stand for herself. But how I wish cvs didn't make Ruksaar a part of this track. I hope the clashes between ZaBeer will be only about their own differences and approaches to life.
I still hope to see Ruksaar getting married , going abroad, and returning back a long time back. they can make her a divorcee who will be after Kabeer. let him get her as a punishment after he loses Zara. just to realise her worth .

I don't like this Kabeer anymore. The honeymoon and pre honeymoon, Kabeer was more understanding, he accepted the fact that Zara had different views and he was okay with it. He was considerate however now, hes just a nakhre wala sohar!
Someone should really kick him back to Zara.
