IKRS Thursday 18th February 2016 ep 167 My Take ~ crossing the river of fire.
Scriptures, tenets , across world social systems uphold the credence given to parenthood. Within the house hold unit they nurture the child , mould her to be part of the social fabric outside the limited family unit. Parents need clout , authority ,understanding to help them to instruct and guide their child. For the child , right from birth, impressible years ,to adulthood the parents stand as an embodiment of reverence, love.. and influence. Thus it is a known fact that parents have a considerable degree of power over their child. How parents wield that power depends on what it is used for? to encourage , instruct , uphold or to manipulate depends on the parent child relationship. Today's episode s focal point is upon a mother who brandishes emotional blackmail before her child to make her child see that she is the mother who knows what is best for her off spring..as she sees the wider picture of what's best for her child's future.. the child has no reason to doubt her intentions , as his mother known's best
The mad rage of a mother continues for the protection of her child as she grapples the predator ready to kill it , for fear of the predator getting to her child. Regrettably Kanak brings out the message of the show , that all widows are stigmatized and cursed with bad luck . it's in their stars that their existence is like black death and inauspicious for a household, if a widow steps into it! Widow Heralds doom for the household. Here Kanak justifies herself both as member of society and also as a mother that she will stop at anything to ensure that Dhani is out of her son Viplav's life! She wants to protect her son's future against ill omen , that is bound to happen if he remains with Dhani! She confesses that many times she attempted to humiliate , to kill Dhani , but the shameless widow that she is, Dhani still refuses to let go off Viplav!. The motive is now clear a mother can't see her son with Dhani a widow! but the widow will not go of her only son Viplav! For Dhani.. an incurable optimist , a believer in hoping for goodness from the most vilest of creatures! She is a mother who is her child's worst enemy! The blinkers have been raised.. how wrong she was to assume the similarity of widow hood would make Kanak affiliate with her.. here Dhani was clearly duped by the comparatively wily , deceptive , black widow pupil of the scheming grandmaster Dashrant tirpathi!.. Dhani is one innocent fly who is slowly going to be caught in the intricate ,sticky , silky gossamer web of the black widow! Dhani meant well, she set out to change Kanak's life.. but lay dormant to the fact that the only change Kanak wants from Dhani is to leave from her son's life..Kanak's actions ,she felt were justified by hook or by crook !Dhani will have to get out of Viplav's life
But for Dhani , the fight with Kanak is not just about why her innocent family was involved in the arson attack started by Kanak.. But also in her actions directed towards her , Kanak's son could have ended up being hurt! But Dhani sees a mother's mad frenzy! as Kanak screams that to separate Viplav from her influence she will use all her maternal powers to hurt Viplav , to discipline him! besides Kanak warns to achieve that goal , as Viplav's mother she is willing to pass through the river of fire! such is the hatred of Kanak against her son's choice a widow! an epitome of all things cursed and vile! Dhani remarks about Kanak's insanity which she doesn't deny and draws a line of motherhood between Dhani and her self! Taunts her .. she wouldn't know what a mother feels? as she is not a mother!..the look on Dhani's face.. was odd.. is there a story behind that expression? or does Dhani just plainly recognizes Kanak's prerogative as Viplav's mother?
Dhani takes a wise step that she will leave from Viplav's life.. but not before avenging her good name ,about how Kanak got to be in the ashram at the day of the fire. For , Viplav held her responsible for sabotaging his mother's life.. besides if she leaves she will tell everything that she is in the clear! and that it's his mother who is responsible for creating misunderstandings! For Dhani feels she owes this much truth to her beloved Viplav! But Kanak was not having it she fears , heaven alone knows what not this wretched widow will tell him to redeem herself and fit cosily back into his life..She was not allowing it! she confronts Dhani , dares her to tell Viplav such a filthy and revolting thing..
Trust the son to walk in at a point when his mother points an accusing finger in Dhani's face! What a pity, to create dramatic irony.. Viplav is in the dark about all the enlightening truth that has gone between these two immediate women in his life, in terms of kinship. One the woman who bore him, and the other who is likely to bear his off springs. But with one his relationship is established and confirmed by birthright. With the other is a bonding of the souls, but yet not signed , sealed and accepted before the world. Thus enters the man who is the figure head , over whom both women battle ! He walks into the situation , completely in the dark as to what has gone on before.. so he picks up from what he hears.. a question , upon which he forms a question.. what was Dhani not able to give you an answer for?.. for Kanak it's a shock to see her son! she fears exposure! of losing her son.. For Dhani it's a relief! she will speak the truth and not keep him in the dark. Both women are dumfounded.. as he waits for an answer .from either of them. Dhani starts.. but Kanak stops her from speaking the truth.. for like always her lies, and deception will help her to cross the river of fire!.. she dupes Viplav by blaming Dhani for accusing and doubting his mother , poisoning her halwa.. Dhani says , that his mother was responsible for the bell falling in the mandir ,in fact Dhani also accuses her for starting the fire in the ashram! Kanak feigns before her son.. who seemingly appears soft towards Dhani.. and he says , may be she misunderstood as Dhani would never think that way about her. Kanak wields her mother's power and creates a banter that he believes this Dhani rather than his mother.. Kanak sees her son melts towards Dhani , as he gently encourages Dhani to speak up.. so things can be clarified.. Kanak has to fight this final round.. boot Dhani out of her son's life forever! Yes she will abuse your own virtue before her son so that his sense of honour kicks in and he dismisses this ill-fated widow out of his life! Kanak accuses Dhani of casting aspersions that she and tripurari have an illicit relationship! Viplav is stunned ,and Dhani weeps , yes to separate us Kanak will go through any lengths.
Viplav asks Dhani did she seriously think that his mother and tripurari?..and Dhani says yes! to she meant to say they are plotting together . Kanak is delighted by the Dhani's monosyllabic reply.. and seeing that Viplav still waits for Dhani to perhaps continue what she was saying.. Kanak uses her mother's powers and provokes her son to a boiling point where he does lose his calm! And as his mother always said.. Viplav's powers of reasoning begin to cloud..and Kanak waits for Viplav's volcano of rage to erupt! Viplav tells Dhani he came to agree a date for the wedding.. Dhani tries to explain but he doesn't give her a chance to say her piece..viplav becomes his mother's son and decides to take her home with him..
Kanak tells Dhani and Raj laxmi she is leaving as the job she came to do at the ashram has terminated now..
The episode is a case between three parties, of how truth is presented in the form of doubts and accusations to win the third party over, to ward of danger to oneself. The idea is to cause maximum emotional damage between two parities . Kanak crosses the river of fire for her hideous greed, as she heads for eternal damnation !Dhani passes through the rivers of fire to find the true meaning of everlasting love that purifies and with its aroma pleases the gods.. hamlet53 19.2.16
