@Fivr: Cuz I think you'll appreciate this😛...God bless Fatty's stock of LTL stuff that I can raid😆

And a bonus🤣

NOTHING can beat LTL villains😆

*Edit: I just want to add that just having watched the first wedding epis, NOTHING beats Kala's FACE when she sees her whole grand plan going down the drain as Dutta turns the tables on her totally unwittingly doing the LAST thing she expected him to do...marry Nakku😆...just that expression in her eyes as if she's having a helpless meltdown watching it all...hahahahaha never gets old😆

Maybe its a bit early Anu... for Viplav- Dhaani scenes.

I have to say they can work on their editing and transitions...I've been noticing it since a few epis now...they aren't managing the flow of the scenes as well.
I second that. In fact, looks like the entry of DT was shot before Raj Lakshmi and Suvarna came in. They were not seen when DT and Trip came in.

That said, the ghadi misunderstanding was deffo amusing😆...the widows didn't let him get a word in edgewise, no matter how earnestly he tried😆...He doesn't even have any recollection of his watch and the widows are in a total panic mode over it's loss.
Cant they get the expressions of Viplav, that he has not clue as to what watch they were talking about. Even a blind person could sense that, as he vocally expressed his surprise too. It was so convenient for the CVs to cut him off so abruptly.
Anu, I think he could have been more earnest there. But guess, the point is, though he wanted to apologise, he was a bit at unease too. So, maybe he let it go and went on with it. Maybe!!!

The star of the epi was Indraani yet again...the way this lady takes charge, is perceptive enough to know the ways of all the women in the aashram and knows how to get them talking...She's an inspiration and a leader for a reason...she leads by principle...the way she insisted on giving Viplav the money or she wouldn't feel comfortable...I do wish they hadn't cut away from this scene so abruptly and shown some of Viplav's response/thought process before gradually fading out. Which reminds me...even in the scene when he falls on Dhaani after entering the aashram, there was like no follow up...lol it's like it happened, ok chalo theek hai, then he got up and promptly fainted into Tripurari's arms😕😆
😆😆😆.. I thought of the same thing, when I watched the episode yesterday. In fact, expected more out of that scene. No reaction from either of them. And they must have been in that position (pardon me, for that word 😉😉, but was out of choice for anything better).. for at least 2-3 mins, if not more, when the other guys were busy vandalising. I, honestly was expecting, his blood stains to get on her. Maybe too much of TV, is giving me such cheesy ideas. What to do.
I think it is left to our imagination that he did take the money to please the elderly lady, who he referred to as 'maa ji"and for all U know, it was shown quite a few times that the ladies in the ashram could easily close the doors on ur face. That must have happened. Viplav taking the money and Indraani telling him- Ok, bye, now off U go!! Well, in a nicer way, of course 😛!

Coming back to Indraani again...I loved her scene with Rajlaxmi and the other girl where she firmly yet lovingly explains her reasons for why the girls must go through the punishment for the crime they committed...
👍🏼 to that!!

Viplav at this point is coming across like a naive fool very easily manipulated in any direction...so easily he switched off the intention to apologize to the widows once DT intervened and made him think otherwise...he's like a kid easily pacified with a lollypop...and DT surely knows how to pull his strings.
I'm actually not that disappointed with the way it was shown. Viplav has been shown as a guy, with an easy-going attitude. Though he was aware, that the girl was taken to prison, due to his prank, it was obvious that the actual impact of his prank, didn't actually get registered till his friend pointed it out so openly and directly. So far, he has been shown as someone who had it easy. More or less someone born with a silver spoon.
No deep grudges either. So, that 'sharaab' thing was really JUST a prank but not really to harm her. Hence, he was ready to apologise to Dhaani on his daadi's insistence. He likes it the easy way, no stress or effort to be put in. So, he agreed to his Daadaji as well. As long as the message gets through, thats enough.
I actually liked Viplav's reactions and expressions, in his scene with Daadaji. This guy is slowly growing on me.

Only substantial VD bit was the little flashback...I liked that it was added in at a juncture when Viplav was back to carefree mode and seeing the visual of the kalash reminded him of Dhaani praying and then his own stupid prank ...the duality of the flashback...both Viplav and Dhaani thinking of the same respective incident but from their own perspectives...nicely done.
I really liked it too. Very well picturised too. I thyink, this flash back might be repeated over the time, when Viplav's character matures. Probably this must be the 1st time, when something got imprinted in his mind without his knowledge.
I liked the serious, deep in though Viplav. I could visualise the intensity in future scenes. Cant wait for them 😉.

Viplav's honesty is both a boon and a bane...he was honest with both his grandparents today leading to different outcomes...Remains to be seen how this trait treats him in the long run...yet again he gave up on an intention half way...lol similar to the first attempt at apology...one escape route option from DT and he promptly copped out...haha
This honesty of his, comes with his trusting nature, Anu. He believes his Daadaji to be a real "sarvasresht brahman" (in the literal sense) of Kasi. Poor guy!!
I call it an 'avoidant' trait- as better avoid something when u r not comfortable with it. But if someone is happy to do it for u, y not?
It reminded me of home works and records to be done in school days and how happy we'd be, if someone offers to do it for U!!!

I do wish they'd do a better job of follow up scenes...today the flow was a bit jumpy.

Hope the story moves in a more substantial way tomorrow and Viplav doesn't remain as clueless as he was today.
Wonder what will make him stay put in Banaras tomorrow or maybe bring him back. Maybe his Daadi, sensing or knowing something terribly wrong is going to happen.

Anu... My comments in 'Blue' and high-lighted urs in 'red'.

Hahaha! Omg I remember using this one for months! Kala's expressions were priceless and Fatty just made the best Kala sigs. I still remember the one she made with the text "Kala tai has a sad".. 😆😆

And a bonus🤣

NOTHING can beat LTL villains😆

ROFL!!!! If for nothing else, I love LTL for the fact that it made me adore VILLAINS in a show. Finally the villains were more than caricatures and were characters you could affiliate with. That was something I'd never experienced before.

I think I may just start rewatching LTL too since I have about 10 days to kill before rotations start. I did start and got as far as Dutta yelling at Nakku while he was drunk the first time but then I got side tracked. On that same note, maybe Gulaal will also make it to my rewatch list this week. I already saw Malaal last week. Lol!

I've noticed the patchy editing recently too! It was most noticable today (yesterday?) when the scene directly cut from Viplav trying to talk to the widows to him just being home. Like what happened beech mein?! Did he ever tell them he was there to apologize?! What was decided about the watch? It was so abrupt... Hopefully they'll learn to transition better.
Hi Fivr... hope U don't mind me butting in. Thx!!
Didn't Indraani mention that they could not return his watch but would slowly repay him and to give them some time? I guess, the abruptness and Viplav not mentioning his apology was to the CVs convenience- 1) maybe to use the scene in the future and 2) to bring a bit o humour to the scene.
As it is theres too much of BG music going on, it reminds me of Mahabharata and Ramayan serials I used to watch many decades back.

And I was getting a little impatient when the widows wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise about why he was at the ashram to begin with. I kept yelling at the screen for him to "speak up!". Lol, but he was so confuzzled by the spectacle in front of him that he never got around to it.

Dhani is still angry at Viplav and considers it his fault.. That much I get. But yaar no matter how much he is at fault, he still deserves a thank you for stepping in between her and the mob. Itna toh I feel is something decent manners demand. She can still tell him it's his fault that the issue came to such an end but that doesn't mean she shouldn't acknowledge k jo bhi ho, the guy did save him. Here I felt she was being a bit too.. harsh? I don't know. I think I am just looking at all the opportunities either of them could have used to fix this issue and it's mildly frustrating when they refuse to do anything of the sort.
Agree with U, about Dhani being insensitive to Viplav and over look the fact that he did in fact save her. Especially, when they try to show her as someone with a very kind heart and very sensitive to other people's feelings (Vidhi Ma'am for example).
Or may be it is a defensive mechanism on her part to keep him away. Not sure. They actually showed few secs of Dhani looking at Viplav, when he was saving her. I really couldnt understand her reaction there- was it surprise? Was it gratitude or was it the start of any emotions, like I misunderstood this guy? NOT LOVE definitely, but something NEW and UNKNOWN to her. Maybe her hatred for him melting..!!

I kind of like this Tripurari character.. I am waiting to see how he progresses. I miss a good "Kala" character in this show so I am just jumping from character to character in hopes k at least ONE of them will be a complex and interested grey character. Not out right "evil" per say.. More of an anti-hero or a bad guy with GOOD reasons to be that way.

The fact that DT is currently married, flirting with his DIL AND has Tripurari's mom on the side is just.. Gross. HOW does he get them all?! I don't see it. He has nothing going for him, na looks, na charms.. Maybe it's the money? Who knows. At least it's the money for the DIL.. Maybe it's just "faith" for Tripurari's mom. But in any case it's ridiculous.
I actually am glad that U brought this up. But are u really surprised? Don't such things happen? More than money, in my opinion, it is POWER!! Of course, money too. For Trip's mom- it is her naivety and her belief that her life is made to be a partner of someone so "SHRESHT", even though she is not the legally wedded wife. For DIL, it could be both money and authority that DT has.
And not forgetting the fact that most of these women, are not that educated for these things NOT to matter.

I feel like I need a separate post just to discuss the end scene from Monday where Viplav is shielding Dhani from the stones. That was by far the best scene of this show so far and I am so annoyed that I wasn't able to watch this show until today and missed all the discussing! But that's okay, I'll just use that as an excuse to keep rewatching the scene.. Also that scene gave me major Dutta flashbacks. MAJOR. And I LOVED that he didn't "stare" at Dhani with some lame background music playing. Like he was still just more concerned in protecting a girl from all the stones and they didn't turn it into some romantic eye lock moment. Thank God for small mercies!
😆😆😆. I was bracing myself for such scenes. In fact, just caught up with all the episodes last night. And am so glad that this scene wasn't the typical scene, where close proximity suddenly evokes 'eye-locks', no matter that U r being hurled with stones, bricks etc from all directions. But I liked Dhani looking at him, maybe trying to understand him and his intentions- as to WHO he actually is- good or bad?

The last 5 episodes have sort of merged in my head as one, so I am trying just to stick to what happened today, with the exception of that stone throwing scene. Lol!

I love how sensible Indrani is! She's progressive, knowledgable, has wisdom and really knows how to deal with each of the women under her care. She has different strokes for different people. That really is the true sign of a good leader, as you said. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the show.

And on that note, it will be hilarious tomorrow to see one of my favorite characters, Indrani, in the same frame as one of my most abhorred character, DT.

P.S. I am not nearly as annoyed at Viplav anymore. He's so naive and clueless, with a childlike honesty and a very fickle resolve at the moment. I understand him better, and I almost sympathize with him. Finally, he makes sense to me. And he cracks me up! The fact that he didn't know the drama at the ashram was his doing until his friends pointed it out to him just made me roll off my bed laughing. Oh Viplav! He has NO idea how this world works. And he really has no clue what a malicious man his grandfather is. So I am super intrigued to see his growth into a man that is more aware and how he handles all these curveballs that life is about to throw at him.

P.P.S. I love the Dutta sigs Anu! Lol, I see the LTL nostalgia's affecting you too.. 😆

Hi..Fivr, I like ur review. And hope U didn't mind me, expressing myself in ur post. I have hight-lighted urs in red and I have put in mine in blue.

AGREE WITH U THE EPISODE WAS AVERAGE BUT IT WAS BIT HILARIOUS IN THE BEGINNING EXCEPT HIM EVERYONE SAID SORRY TO HIM😆
U R RIGHT VIPLAV SEEMS TO BE MANIPULATED VERY EASILY THOUGH HE IS HONEST BUT HE GETS EASILY SWAYED BY EMOTIONS.HERE DADAJI KNOWS HOW TO PLAY HIS GAME WITH HIS GRANDSON'S WEAKNESS
I JUST HOPE VIPLAV BECOMES SENSIBLE ENOUGH TO TAKE HIS OWN DECISIONS & BE FIRM IN FOLLOWING IT ALSO😊

Hi Anu.. Glad you are here ..

I started watching Not sure what's the short name of this show yet..

Before the mob attack..and yesterday day2.yet to remember the names of the roles.

I loved the way Viplav fierce fully protects her.would have been better if there's a follow up on the scene where each fall on each other.. Not sure why it's shot of not made any impact.

Am yet to digest the melo dramatic tone of the show as am no much into it..however, since my other show is ending I am just in search of the show which can capitulate my interest n looks this show is better in the lot.

One thing I am unable to stand is the dialog delivery n over righteousness of Dhani. I shall rant here and thank you .

What is she being projected as? Strong or self righteous or preachy waali one? Whatever is the flashback thing they are showing of Viplav mixing alchohal in her Kalash for fun I assume is the cause for all this drama I believe ..he attempted go apologise .. Forget that he also saved her from mobs .. Don't he deserve a thankyou?

Why is she dragging her dialog delivery n it just getting into my nerves.

I have a huge allergy for Gopi Vahu kind of self righteous roles. Hopefully, this character has a realistic touch to it than going all preachy ..

I loved male lead. This is first time I am following his show and he for sure knows how to act intense very well I believe ..

Still yet to understand his character but there looks a Viplav who stands for what appears right to him with a mix of innocence in him..He's visiting this place so may be he's new to all this dynamics ..

I got amused by the way he gets easily tricked by his dada. Coming to Dada, I really disgust this guy. Very powerful antagonist in a veil of good respectable man.

I am intrigued by dadas body guard who at one end is gathering his loyalty but other end he wants to see him going down.. Wanted to know more .. Let see how it plays..

I really loved the leader lady in the ashram. She knows how to talk to whom n keep the place sane.
I also loved the dadima role. Apart from the fact that she cries a lot, I love the way she puts a realistic sense into Viplav. She's for sure a caring dadima.
