I have been waiting for your post Anu! I finally caught up on the last 5 episodes but am too tired to make a thread of my own.. Lol. So I'm giving my mini rant in yours.
I've noticed the patchy editing recently too! It was most noticable today (yesterday?) when the scene directly cut from Viplav trying to talk to the widows to him just being home. Like what happened beech mein?! Did he ever tell them he was there to apologize?! What was decided about the watch? It was so abrupt... Hopefully they'll learn to transition better.
Hi Fivr... hope U don't mind me butting in. Thx!!
Didn't Indraani mention that they could not return his watch but would slowly repay him and to give them some time? I guess, the abruptness and Viplav not mentioning his apology was to the CVs convenience- 1) maybe to use the scene in the future and 2) to bring a bit o humour to the scene.
As it is theres too much of BG music going on, it reminds me of Mahabharata and Ramayan serials I used to watch many decades back.
And I was getting a little impatient when the widows wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise about why he was at the ashram to begin with. I kept yelling at the screen for him to "speak up!". Lol, but he was so confuzzled by the spectacle in front of him that he never got around to it.
Dhani is still angry at Viplav and considers it his fault.. That much I get. But yaar no matter how much he is at fault, he still deserves a thank you for stepping in between her and the mob. Itna toh I feel is something decent manners demand. She can still tell him it's his fault that the issue came to such an end but that doesn't mean she shouldn't acknowledge k jo bhi ho, the guy did save him. Here I felt she was being a bit too.. harsh? I don't know. I think I am just looking at all the opportunities either of them could have used to fix this issue and it's mildly frustrating when they refuse to do anything of the sort.
Agree with U, about Dhani being insensitive to Viplav and over look the fact that he did in fact save her. Especially, when they try to show her as someone with a very kind heart and very sensitive to other people's feelings (Vidhi Ma'am for example).
Or may be it is a defensive mechanism on her part to keep him away. Not sure. They actually showed few secs of Dhani looking at Viplav, when he was saving her. I really couldnt understand her reaction there- was it surprise? Was it gratitude or was it the start of any emotions, like I misunderstood this guy? NOT LOVE definitely, but something NEW and UNKNOWN to her. Maybe her hatred for him melting..!!
I kind of like this Tripurari character.. I am waiting to see how he progresses. I miss a good "Kala" character in this show so I am just jumping from character to character in hopes k at least ONE of them will be a complex and interested grey character. Not out right "evil" per say.. More of an anti-hero or a bad guy with GOOD reasons to be that way.
The fact that DT is currently married, flirting with his DIL AND has Tripurari's mom on the side is just.. Gross. HOW does he get them all?! I don't see it. He has nothing going for him, na looks, na charms.. Maybe it's the money? Who knows. At least it's the money for the DIL.. Maybe it's just "faith" for Tripurari's mom. But in any case it's ridiculous.
I actually am glad that U brought this up. But are u really surprised? Don't such things happen? More than money, in my opinion, it is POWER!! Of course, money too. For Trip's mom- it is her naivety and her belief that her life is made to be a partner of someone so "SHRESHT", even though she is not the legally wedded wife. For DIL, it could be both money and authority that DT has.
And not forgetting the fact that most of these women, are not that educated for these things NOT to matter.
I feel like I need a separate post just to discuss the end scene from Monday where Viplav is shielding Dhani from the stones. That was by far the best scene of this show so far and I am so annoyed that I wasn't able to watch this show until today and missed all the discussing! But that's okay, I'll just use that as an excuse to keep rewatching the scene.. Also that scene gave me major Dutta flashbacks. MAJOR. And I LOVED that he didn't "stare" at Dhani with some lame background music playing. Like he was still just more concerned in protecting a girl from all the stones and they didn't turn it into some romantic eye lock moment. Thank God for small mercies!
😆😆😆. I was bracing myself for such scenes. In fact, just caught up with all the episodes last night. And am so glad that this scene wasn't the typical scene, where close proximity suddenly evokes 'eye-locks', no matter that U r being hurled with stones, bricks etc from all directions. But I liked Dhani looking at him, maybe trying to understand him and his intentions- as to WHO he actually is- good or bad?
The last 5 episodes have sort of merged in my head as one, so I am trying just to stick to what happened today, with the exception of that stone throwing scene. Lol!
I love how sensible Indrani is! She's progressive, knowledgable, has wisdom and really knows how to deal with each of the women under her care. She has different strokes for different people. That really is the true sign of a good leader, as you said. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the show.
And on that note, it will be hilarious tomorrow to see one of my favorite characters, Indrani, in the same frame as one of my most abhorred character, DT.
P.S. I am not nearly as annoyed at Viplav anymore. He's so naive and clueless, with a childlike honesty and a very fickle resolve at the moment. I understand him better, and I almost sympathize with him. Finally, he makes sense to me. And he cracks me up! The fact that he didn't know the drama at the ashram was his doing until his friends pointed it out to him just made me roll off my bed laughing. Oh Viplav! He has NO idea how this world works. And he really has no clue what a malicious man his grandfather is. So I am super intrigued to see his growth into a man that is more aware and how he handles all these curveballs that life is about to throw at him.
P.P.S. I love the Dutta sigs Anu! Lol, I see the LTL nostalgia's affecting you too.. 😆
