Frankly it was an average epi😆...

I had expected more to come out of the Viplav-Dhaani scene but it became muddled up in the ghadi issue with Indraani and the others speaking more and eventually they cut away rather abruptly😕

I have to say they can work on their editing and transitions...I've been noticing it since a few epis now...they aren't managing the flow of the scenes as well.

That said, the ghadi misunderstanding was deffo amusing😆...the widows didn't let him get a word in edgewise, no matter how earnestly he tried😆...He doesn't even have any recollection of his watch and the widows are in a total panic mode over it's loss.

The star of the epi was Indraani yet again...the way this lady takes charge, is perceptive enough to know the ways of all the women in the aashram and knows how to get them talking...She's an inspiration and a leader for a reason...she leads by principle...the way she insisted on giving Viplav the money or she wouldn't feel comfortable...I do wish they hadn't cut away from this scene so abruptly and shown some of Viplav's response/thought process before gradually fading out. Which reminds me...even in the scene when he falls on Dhaani after entering the aashram, there was like no follow up...lol it's like it happened, ok chalo theek hai, then he got up and promptly fainted into Tripurari's arms😕😆

Coming back to Indraani again...I loved her scene with Rajlaxmi and the other girl where she firmly yet lovingly explains her reasons for why the girls must go through the punishment for the crime they committed...

Viplav at this point is coming across like a naive fool very easily manipulated in any direction...so easily he switched off the intention to apologize to the widows once DT intervened and made him think otherwise...he's like a kid easily pacified with a lollypop...and DT surely knows how to pull his strings.

Only substantial VD bit was the little flashback...I liked that it was added in at a juncture when Viplav was back to carefree mode and seeing the visual of the kalash reminded him of Dhaani praying and then his own stupid prank ...the duality of the flashback...both Viplav and Dhaani thinking of the same respective incident but from their own perspectives...nicely done.

Viplav's honesty is both a boon and a bane...he was honest with both his grandparents today leading to different outcomes...Remains to be seen how this trait treats him in the long run...yet again he gave up on an intention half way...lol similar to the first attempt at apology...one escape route option from DT and he promptly copped out...haha

I do wish they'd do a better job of follow up scenes...today the flow was a bit jumpy.

Hope the story moves in a more substantial way tomorrow and Viplav doesn't remain as clueless as he was today.

Agree with u completely. Some scenes need follow up. The scenes r equally unpredictable as viplav is. That's what makes it hilarious at times. Overall a light episode. Tripurari is impressive in his intent n has got some great lines. Viplav is just going with the flow. Wonder what would be THAT thing which will hit him hard n bring about a change in him. Looking forward forward.

I have been waiting for your post Anu! I finally caught up on the last 5 episodes but am too tired to make a thread of my own.. Lol. So I'm giving my mini rant in yours.

I've noticed the patchy editing recently too! It was most noticable today (yesterday?) when the scene directly cut from Viplav trying to talk to the widows to him just being home. Like what happened beech mein?! Did he ever tell them he was there to apologize?! What was decided about the watch? It was so abrupt... Hopefully they'll learn to transition better.

And I was getting a little impatient when the widows wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise about why he was at the ashram to begin with. I kept yelling at the screen for him to "speak up!". Lol, but he was so confuzzled by the spectacle in front of him that he never got around to it.

Dhani is still angry at Viplav and considers it his fault.. That much I get. But yaar no matter how much he is at fault, he still deserves a thank you for stepping in between her and the mob. Itna toh I feel is something decent manners demand. She can still tell him it's his fault that the issue came to such an end but that doesn't mean she shouldn't acknowledge k jo bhi ho, the guy did save him. Here I felt she was being a bit too.. harsh? I don't know. I think I am just looking at all the opportunities either of them could have used to fix this issue and it's mildly frustrating when they refuse to do anything of the sort.

I kind of like this Tripurari character.. I am waiting to see how he progresses. I miss a good "Kala" character in this show so I am just jumping from character to character in hopes k at least ONE of them will be a complex and interested grey character. Not out right "evil" per say.. More of an anti-hero or a bad guy with GOOD reasons to be that way.

The fact that DT is currently married, flirting with his DIL AND has Tripurari's mom on the side is just.. Gross. HOW does he get them all?! I don't see it. He has nothing going for him, na looks, na charms.. Maybe it's the money? Who knows. At least it's the money for the DIL.. Maybe it's just "faith" for Tripurari's mom. But in any case it's ridiculous.

I feel like I need a separate post just to discuss the end scene from Monday where Viplav is shielding Dhani from the stones. That was by far the best scene of this show so far and I am so annoyed that I wasn't able to watch this show until today and missed all the discussing! But that's okay, I'll just use that as an excuse to keep rewatching the scene.. Also that scene gave me major Dutta flashbacks. MAJOR. And I LOVED that he didn't "stare" at Dhani with some lame background music playing. Like he was still just more concerned in protecting a girl from all the stones and they didn't turn it into some romantic eye lock moment. Thank God for small mercies!

The last 5 episodes have sort of merged in my head as one, so I am trying just to stick to what happened today, with the exception of that stone throwing scene. Lol!

I love how sensible Indrani is! She's progressive, knowledgable, has wisdom and really knows how to deal with each of the women under her care. She has different strokes for different people. That really is the true sign of a good leader, as you said. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the show.

And on that note, it will be hilarious tomorrow to see one of my favorite characters, Indrani, in the same frame as one of my most abhorred character, DT.

P.S. I am not nearly as annoyed at Viplav anymore. He's so naive and clueless, with a childlike honesty and a very fickle resolve at the moment. I understand him better, and I almost sympathize with him. Finally, he makes sense to me. And he cracks me up! The fact that he didn't know the drama at the ashram was his doing until his friends pointed it out to him just made me roll off my bed laughing. Oh Viplav! He has NO idea how this world works. And he really has no clue what a malicious man his grandfather is. So I am super intrigued to see his growth into a man that is more aware and how he handles all these curveballs that life is about to throw at him.

P.P.S. I love the Dutta sigs Anu! Lol, I see the LTL nostalgia's affecting you too.. 😆

Anu!! Hiya, its good to see you after LTL days :)
And I too found it average epi at most...expected to see Viplav actually apologize...

I had expected more to come out of the Viplav-Dhaani scene but it became muddled up in the ghadi issue with Indraani and the others speaking more and eventually they cut away rather abruptly😕

OMG...I was like dude man just tell em shut up I need to speak. Talk about going round and round...the clock!Just imagine what it'd be like when he tries to confess his love, one of these days😆

I agree, Indraani is definitely a leader amongst the woman and would've been nice to hear what viplav would say! And right, whats up with all the abrupt stops...haha maybe the fainting had more to do with his macho fall to save dhani then with the beating :P

Viplav at this point is coming across like a naive fool very easily manipulated in any direction...so easily he switched off the intention to apologize to the widows once DT intervened and made him think otherwise...he's like a kid easily pacified with a lollypop...and DT surely knows how to pull his strings.
They are family...and maybe naturally he thinks they'd know best, whats right...after all they raised him and probably taught him most of his right or wrong moral compass. And maybe he's too much in his own fun-partying world to notice there's more to the story

^ I think this openness and honesty also connects to that trust...that he probably has for his family. He probably figures they wouldn't do anything harmful or cruel...

Lovely reading your thoughts! Look forward to more : )

LOL THAT thing is the big mystery...cuz Viplav is like a kiddo right now...lots of growing up to do😆

Agree about Tripurari...he's getting to play an interesting crafty character playing his own subtle games alongside those of DT's.

Woah Fivr, you're still watching? I thought you had taken a sabbatical from IF again 😆...You disappeared so abruptly, I didn't know what else to think😕😆

Monday's scene was AWESOME, dude...I made a whole post with pics and stuff too...wish you'd been there to discuss it...that scene legit gave me feels😆...and yes Dutta deja vu full on...but like I said, the lack of follow up on the momentum has made things a bit😕...like I also appreciated that that scene wasn't made a typical romantic staring, neither were the subsequent scenes...VD are still almost brusque/business-like with each other😆...but story-wise it needed more follow up instead of making Viplav just look aimless😕

Like today's scene literally seems to have served no point other than the little watch drama and DT getting more concerned about Viplav hanging around the aashram...they could have used the opportunity for a better VD interaction...oh well.

I'm ok with Viplav's cluelessness otherwise cuz I do get that he'll not wisen up to his Dadaji's tricks that easily but I want to see some storyline movement rather than just showing him aimlessly wandering b/w the house or the aashram.

Re: Dutta sigs...haha thanks! I'm rewatching it in sequence aaj kal so all nostalgic😆...just reached the first wedding epis...What DRAMA😆...No other show can match that...freakin ONE MONTH that wedding setup lasted😆 What actors though, boss...I REALLY miss Aashka as Kala...her and MR and MV in one frame together...fireworks it used to be...oh well...Tripurari ain't bad so far...I like that he isn't a typical caricaturish villain and plays his own mind games...for that matter even DT is a dangerous foe cuz he doesn't use brute strength, rather relies on his mind games to thwart his adversaries or any problems in his path.

Hey thanks so much :) Are you from the LTL forum too? Did you change your username? I can't seem to recall😕😆

Yes it was the fact that they didn't show any follow up on Viplav's thought process that let me down in this epi...give him some purpose, brief as it may be...don't make him cheery and clueless for the sake of it...then his character comes across as inconsistent.

Yeah you have a point about him trusting his family but essentially he's a pampered kid who doesn't want to think or really evaluate issues beyond his immediate benefit...At this rate, it will take him eons to figure out his grandfather's lies and manipulations😕😆

^ there are so many characters already, I hope they have a strong purpose and not just rubbish and same throughout...

Oh you're Daya! Heya!😆 Nice to see everyone trickling in from the LTL forum😆

hahaha@ the similarities with LTL...so true...I'm just rewatching LTL epis from the beginning and usmein bhi Dutta ka Kala jaap was something😆...but I have to say more credit to Kala, she was a fine manipulator😆...but Dutta still had SOME independent thought process in terms of evaluating things...Viplav so far barely gets any such moments😕😆...Monday was a rare case where he took charge and jumped into a situation head on...otherwise he's just looking clueless😕😆

Sorry about it being so abrupt, I hadn't thought it would be that time consuming.. But it was.. 😆

Like today's scene literally seems to have served no point other than the little watch drama and DT getting more concerned about Viplav hanging around the aashram...they could have used the opportunity for a better VD interaction...oh well. Exactly! They just wanted this whole scene for some random watch drama.. I would be okay with the watch fiasco if at the end of it all he was still able to apologize and allow for their dynamic to move forward in ANY direction. Instead it was just more of Viplav looking clueless and Dhani giving him annoyed looks. They wasted the whole episode! All over a WATCH that he didn't even seem to know was missing!

I'm ok with Viplav's cluelessness otherwise cuz I do get that he'll not wisen up to his Dadaji's tricks that easily but I want to see some storyline movement rather than just showing him aimlessly wandering b/w the house or the aashram.

I think DT is far more just plain evil and malicious whereas Tripurari still has the option of being a grey character backed by circumstances. That's probably why I like Tripurari when I can't stand DT. But DT is definitely NOT stupid.. He's a very manipulative and dangerous man.. And it's precisely his ability to act like he has your best intentions in mind while planning his attack against you that makes him so dangerous! Man I miss Kala.. I didn't realize how much I'm used to seeing MR and Aashka in one frame until this show when I don't have that option anymore.. They were pure magic together!
