My feelings about this show

Hey everyone

I thought bcs the show is going off air I’d share my feelings about it. I personally binge watched this show in litteraly two weekss and let me tell you that I’ve never been this addicted to a show before. The beginning of this show was unreal. I loved Ishqi’s character and how different she was from typical female leads in indian drama’s. She was not afraid to stand up against dadi/sarla (also ahaan) even tho society expects girls to respect their elders no matter if they are wrong. The beginning of this show focused so much on women rights and the whole message behind the sonu track was so beautiful. I’ll never forget that one dialogue ishqi said “darna nahi gussa karna seekho” and how she motivated sonu to not give up and fight against men like mayank. I LOVED this show until recently. Honestly now this show isn’t focusing itself on women rights or anything like that it’s just a typical saas bahu drama now. An ex-girlfriend who pretends to be pregnant with ahaan’s child even tho he kinda knows they were never intimate. It’s so easy to do a test to find out that their DNA doesn’t match but no. They will drag this pregnancy track until viewers get tired of it and stop watching. Also this dadi drama is getting on my nerves. This show is focussing so much on side characters now that they have forgotten the main plot. Ishqi was a hard working woman before her marriage who wanted a carrier. Where is that carrier now? Ahaan goes to his office but Ishqi is turning into a typical bahu who’s only job is to feed her husband and take care of him. Anyway it’s just a show but I was really sad how it turned out in the end. I was just so happy to finally see a free, open minded, working woman as the female lead but it’s kinda sad to say that the writers have ruined this beautiful show lately.

I binged watched the show , not exactly that..finished off 85 episodes in 6 days 😆 That's how much I loved it..here r my honest views..

I found the initial 20-25 episodes a little boring ...although I loved the issues they touched upon , and how ishqi always fights back with sarla and ahaan..when the wedding preps started and ahaan turned soft on ishqi , that's where my interest really piqued ..the molestation track was my fav and that one dialogue from ishqi which you mentioned 👏Guilt nahi gussa ...also , just before marriage when she says darr se zyada badi himmat honi chahiye 👏 how ishqui broke off the marriage with Mayank..it was all very well done..and yes..ishqui beating up mayank with the chappal is my fav scene in the entire show 😆Kya pitai ki.

I feel after those tracks , I am liking ipzn more and more..the chemistry which I couldn't feel earlier, I can see it now...Kartik is simply my fav character in the entire show..sonu and Raj are adorable , so are chachi and chachu...savitri track has been a boring but this isnthe essence of the story..everything that ahaan believed in , how he was conditioned since childhood will be proven wrong ...very imp message that blindly following elders is not important ..ishqi said the same thing in initial episodes..plus ishqui planning carefully has been refreshing too..ishqui becoming a breakfast bahu is ok.. she is busy with savitri , probably she would work later on ..for me it's enuf that she discussed everything with ahaan before marriage..even the trust part.

I don't like dadi ..ek toh she always reminds me of ipk..itna zyada ke I started watching ipk in between 😆 Finished it off in 10 days and came bk to ipzn..her character is vile plus the acting is a bit ott...she started as a good character but just drinking beer won't make her modern..she isnthe classic 1920s piece..full on scheming vamps and loud characters like Sarla ruins the mood but then , the conflict between modern and orthodox was always beautifully shown...all tracks have been very realistic , they touched upon many imp issues without drama ..I mean...the point really came across.. one such example is ishqui refusing to marry a tree.

It's sad the show is coming to an end..we need shows like ipzn which r light , entertaining and a mix of everything. But for me..these 100-120 episodes will stay with me. ❤️

I watched this show right from its 1st episode. As the show progressed and the way the show was handled (unlike typical scheming plotting OTT drama) it definitely had a scope to continue for atleast next 3-4 months without dragging for unnecessary content.

Its very sad that the channel believes that their channel only runs on CP, KSS, KBC and 2-3 other reality shows.

They actually managed to show Ishqi working in the last episode, albeit in a very rushed manner- interview and everything was done in a single epi, and they never showed any discussion between the lead couple on it (which was one of their differing points pre-marriage)

I believe this had something to do with the show's original going off air time (early August)

The show has always had a good bank of episodes- they shoot almost 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. The original news that there was to be no extension came on July 14, and I think the cast and crew would've had an inkling before hand (say 2-3 weeks before July 14) that it would not be extended, which would have made the writers focus more on the Savvy/Dadi/Rhea tracks and less on the Ishqi working one.

Not making an excuse for the writers- just throwing some background on why certain parts might have been ignored.

If the makers had the security of a 150-200 episode show from Sony (ideally in advance), they could've planned it much better.

Fr every time I put on sony there is houres and houres of just crime petrol or the kapil sharma show. Sony has ruined plenty of shows in the past like ek duje ke vaaste season 1 or yeh pyaar nahi toh kya hai. These shows has a very rushed ending bcs sony couldn’t wait to show more crime petrol episodes🤔

I will happily join the gang of binge watchers here. Saw the initial promos and thought this would be good to watch but didn't. Then one day something prompted me to watch the episodes and spent every free moment i had doing that till I caught up to the last played.

The initial episodes were fab and although they had the very cliched nok jhoks there was this new chemistry, this new intensity that was refreshing. I can draw a lot of parallels between Khushi and Ishqi (seeing that they both come from the same mould) but where Ishqi differs is her chutzpah! She can be every modern, free thinking, free spirited girl but with her morals and values still in place. She won't blush at her dupatta falling but will pick it right up and walk on!

Ahaan - a true paradox of modernity encased in age old beliefs. Some things I agreed with. Some things I didn't but Ahaan had a way of making sense out of nonsense always. In the beginning and even during the whole tree marrying farce.

Karthik like I've said so many times before has my heart always. Spunky and sarcastic like me and I absolutely love that they put a character like this on ITV.

Sonu and Raj were just the mushy cushy quotient and that worked well. But Raj brings with him a level headedness and calm that's a perfect foil for Sonu's emotionally sensitive character.

The rest of the characters worked because the concept of the story and the plot worked. It saddens me that good television like this doesn't live beyond 120+ episodes but OTT dramas and saas bahu sagas go on for ages! Are we really that backward as audiences?

I know I mentioned the characters all through this rant and not the actors. That's because when an actor perfectly portrays his/her reel person you look beyond the real and believe them even more. That being said, though I didn't know anyone of these before this show (not an ardent ITV watcher) they have each etched a very memorable place in my heart. Brilliant, natural acting and chemistry and friendship brought on all the dimensions of relationships on screen.

IPZN will be missed!!!

Ps. Apologies for the extra long post

We're not, but the 44,000 meters installed by BARC that speak for the entire country of 1.3 billion makes us appear so.

Beautiful write up..my feelings exactly .

Initially I couldn't watch ipzn coz it reminded me too much of ipk 😆 But the ph has raised the bar as far as characters r concerned...the supporting characters r so positive ke one can't help fall in love with them......Ishqi and khushi r a bit similar , ishqi being the upgraded version, but I am glad they kept ahaan different ..bec there can be only 1 asr😎. ahaan grew on me..when he started caring for ishqui..initially it was only family, friends, shadi excuse but he really did see through her , know her better and fall in love with her ..it was interesting to see him argue with kartik on these issues ..I am sure everyone here was on kartiks side..but one can understand where ahaan is coming from.

O boy ! HOW did they create kartik ? He is simply the best character I have ever come across in a tv show..good looks with brains plus courage to speak the truth .😎

the way ishqi dealt with mayank , and also encouraged sonu to face the situation was awesome. Her thought process before marriage is something I have never seen before.she was clear on what she wanted , what was expected out of her and whether it's possible for her to fit into the mould of ahaans wife ...just before her wedding she is analyzing everything ke what if tomorrow i don't have proofs , will this man trust me ? Howcome he trusted his dadi out of impulse and not me ?

One of the best moments from the show where they r discussing it ..n ahaan says he hasnt given it a thought ..that's how most of us are right? It's impossible to plan everything beforehand ..and a lot of things are simplified where there is genuine care and love..like there is this simple scene where ahaan makes juice for ishqi and his dadi is stunned to see so much change in him..

The production values, brilliant 👏 The sets ..ahaans house.. the costumes etc r fabulous..ishqis dresses r very simple , elegant and she looks stunning in each frame..so does sonu..

It's rare to come across shows jis ke characters itne pyare hote hain ke bas ..dil khush ho jaata hai unko dekhke❤️ Since the end is approaching , all the issues will be resolved bas I hope dadi will be punished ..not forgiven bec she is dadi..i foresee a kyy type ending 😆 ye sab hamesha ye wo wale promise chodo, hamesha trust karenge hamesha sach bolenge , it's too much of an idealistic thought...bas live you life together happily ..make some practical promises 😆 where there is true love , everything can be worked out

Today sad to say sony is the worts channel

Its all about Crome patrol or some kapil shows or worse still some reality shows …

On top if it good serials which start well get into the sic groove of evil characters becoming the main leads !!!

I warned about this show months back saying GUL KHAN SHOULD TAKE FEEDBACK AND CHANGE HOW SHE TURNS THE MAIN LEADS INTO SIDES AND IF TOO MUCH PROTEST IS SEEN …SHE WILL HAVE ONE ROMANTIC MOMENT AND THEN REVERT BACK TO THE SAME NONSENSE OF DADI AND RHEA AND HER PARENTS …THIS SHOW ‘S MAIN LEAD IS THE EVIL DADI …WHAT A FARCE …AND THEN SONY NOT BEING THE RESPONSIBLE CHANNEL AND NOT GIVING FEEDBACK TO THE PRODUCERS WILL QUICKLY AXE THE SHOW AND PUT THEIR CRIME SHOWS AND SOME SILLY KAPIL SHOWS AT BEST IT WOULD BE SOME GODLY SHOWS
