He's telling himself he wants to stop this for Mayank's sake to prevent them both from crossing their limits, so that he doesn't become a homebreaker, etc. However, I think a part of him is just intrigued by where this can lead, the fact that this is in essence a 'forbidden' romance, and because he wants to be able to gauge her feelings when their are both fully sober. They would have no excuse to run or hide. It's convenient for us that Mayank is a bad guy, but what if he weren't? Just like Rhea (so far) seems to be a nice person but Ahaan just doesn't have that spark with her, what if he were a nice person but Ishqi never felt that chemistry with him the way she does with Ahaan? We would be concerned about her cheating Mayank. She doesn't know what Mayank is up to the way we the audience do, so in theory there is a risk of her wronging him.
Ahaan is probably facing what a lot of people do when they feel they might end up betraying their best friend because they are in love with their friend's partner. Ishqi, when sober is adamant that she wants to close off her feelings and focus on Mayank, whom she's marrying, even if she doesn't love him. I want to know if she'd still want to marry him without knowing any of his bad deeds or about Sonu. Would she back out because it doesn't feel right or that she doesn't feel he's caring? I mean, Ahaan saw this too over and over and is always afraid that Ishqi might be upset about it and cancel the wedding. So if Ishqi cites this as the reason for calling off the wedding, Ahaan doesn't have any reason to be angry with her.
Absolutely👍🏼 From their perspectives their feelings can legit destroy a family plus even time is not with them, marriage is just a day away and in such circumstances people thinks like Ahaan and Ishqi NOT like Kartik even though Kartik does have a valid point. You just can't think like Kartik in such circumstances no matter how much sense he has in his logic. Ahaan wants to talk to Ishqi because now he knows that she has such strong feelings for him so it's necessary to talk it out. I don't think Ahaan is going to 'Hate' her for breaking the marriage, deep down he will get that but obviously his own set of ethics are going to come in between and he will have a different take on this 'As always' and honestly I don't even expect him to agree with Ishqi because that's not Ahaan. But hate is a very strong term.... There may be difference of opinion as always but not hatred or something. Eventually he will get to know the real reason behind the decision obviously that will make way for a deeper understanding between them.
Plus Ahaan-Ishqi going to have talks on the night before the wedding day so I am damn sure Ahaan will try to find WHY Ishqi breaking the marriage. Ishqi may not tell that's different.
