Shami vs Jaiswal/Buttler. Boult vs Gill. Rashid Khan vs Sanju Samson. Chahal vs Hardik Pandya. Ashwin vs Miller. There's plenty to look forward to tonight. Which battle are you looking forward to the most? Which side are you backing tonight? Who do you think will make it to the top 4? Time to put your analytical cap on as the HaveYourSay section, on the site, is up and ready to roll. We promise to publish the best of 'em. Do send in your thoughts with a valid name though. Fire away...

Tanishq B: I would definitely bet on GT and CSK to qualify as top 2 teams. 3rd team can be RCB and there is a toss up between MI and RR for the last spot.

Our correspondent Prakash G has sneaked into the press box at SMS. And he spots, "Some high intensity bowling for Alzarri Joseph on the GT side while the others are starting slow. Alzarri's last game was the reverse fixture against the Royals after which Noor Ahmad has played in his place. For Joshua Little, tonight could be his last game of the season before joining the Ireland squad for the Bangladesh ODIs."

Hello and welcome to game 48. Two teams that are in the top half of the table lock horns tonight. Rajasthan Royals are hosting the table-toppers Gujarat Titans. A win will take the Royals to the top of the table, while a win for the Titans would help them set almost one foot into the playoffs. Both teams have lost their previous encounter and would be keen to get back to winning ways. The Titans needed 12 from the last over against Delhi Capitals whereas RR had 17 to defend off the final over against Mumbai Indians. Was a classic case of so near yet so far. Interestingly, both teams - despite losing - have carved out some brilliant individual performances that helped them earn the Player of the Match awards as well. The maiden IPL hundred for Yashasvi Jaiswal and career-best figures for Mohammed Shami. Connect the dots?

Prakash adds: On the RR side, R Ashwin and Murugan Ashwin are bowling. A little while ago, Yashasvi Jaiswal was bowling too, and getting the ball to turn quite a bit. For GT, Sai Kishore and Noor Ahmad have now joined in. Sai Kishore bowled at length in yesterday's training. Sign of things to come maybe?

"Jason Holder might make a way for Obead Mcoy or even For Zampa. Rajasthan has beautiful pair for new ball which offers a bit of swing upfront but it doesnt look that good when it comes to death overs. They need to find a way to have someone who can take that responsibility Mcoy has very good slower balls and cutters which can be handy on this surface."

Matt Roller's made his way to Jaipur and is at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium for today's game. He says it "rained a bit on Wednesday evening but dry the last two days. Some ominous dark cloud hovering in the middle distance but forecast suggests we should be fine. Hot day but has cooled down a lot now. Big reception for Yashavi Jaiswal from the early arrivals as he jogs around the boundary."

Jamie Dow wins the early-bird prize: "How would you rate Joe Root's performance so far with the drinks tray, this IPL? Seriously, though, is he actually ever going to get a game?" Top notch with the drinks, a thorough team man. I reckon he will play only if Buttler or Hetmyer are unavailable for a game. What about Zampa though? How many wickets does he need to take in a one-off chance to play the next game?
