After that Swami made him eat delicious food.. fanned him while he relaxed.. We both are stupefied on seeing Swami's attention for him..
After that Swami asked him" Sudama what did you bring for me? Did my sister send anything for me?

Sudama looked embarrassed. Obviously he wouldn't have brought anything., We thought.

Swami then playfully took out a small cloth bag from his waist. He opened it and ..there is parched rice ( poha rice)in it.
Swami took one fist full and ate it.. he said.' You remember our childhood days. We used to eat this. Gurumata always gave us parched rice..when we go to collect fruits..

Sudama has tears in his eyes.. Swami ate another fistful of that.. But when he stretched his hand to take the third one Rukmini didi held his hand and said." Enough Swami."

Everyone exclaimed." Why did she do so? .. Rukmini and Krishna exchanged smiles..

Satya continued.' Till now I did not get the answer.I hope Arjun will get it from him..

Arjun said" Ofcourse. Why not? I will make him tell ...then I will reveal it to you..

Satya smirked and continued." Fine.. Do that for my sake..but listen to the remaining part..Sudama went back after ten days.. he could not find his house in it's place.

What happened? Panchali panicked.

Sudama got reeling sensation. He saw a very big mansion in that place. The housewife came out and approached him. She is wearing golden ornaments and costliest clothes. She took his hands and addressed him" Swami...your friend changed our life..

There is a big round of applause and standing ovation from.. every one. Arjun hugged Krishna and hid his head on his shoulder.. His Madhav proved he is the Supreme lord..

Suddenly Suka's voice is heard... Prince Parikshit... don't go to the middle of the river...come back..

When they rushed to the shore they saw Pari gleefully swimming in the middle of the river.

Sahadev alerted Arjun" Bhrata the river is too deep there..bring him back..

Bheem and Nakul shouted" Pari come back please..

Krishna said.' Parth..he looked exhausted.he can not swim back on his own.

Arjun got tensed up...He took away his upper garment and within a minute jumped into the river. As he swam towards Parikshit he understood how deep it is. He took Pari into his hold and asked him to clasp his neck and lie on his back.

When he swam to the shore Bheem and Nakul took Pari carefully and hugged him closer. Bheem called Uttara and handed him over..

Pari looked at Arjun and admitted." Pitamah..I swear I won't venture it again..

Krishna laughed and said.." Go and change your clothes... Your Pitamah won't get angry.. I assure..

As Arjun walked towards the temporarily built rest house..

His wives drooled over him..his great physique with water drops shining like pearls made them reminisce their cosy moments with him..

Panchali observed that and bit her lip..They are not at fault..why should he be so handsome!

She went to the place where they kept their garments.. She only arranged them there.. She took the clothes and turned around feeling the water drops sprinkle on her..

Arjun pulled her nearer and whispered.." Don't you dry my hair ? " He took her Pallu on that pretext and hugged her closer.. Yajnaseni felt his warmth and protested.." Do it on your own. Your wives may come any moment. They drooled over you.. I knew..

Arjun smiled.and asked." What about you? Just say it."

Wow, superb updates, was missing the story badly from last few days.

Loved Kunti's confession, and the light hearted moments specially between Arjun and Satya..

The story telling is so good, you feel the characters are in front of you.

Eagerly awaiting for reactions of Arjun's wives...

Please post the update soon.

Thank you so much.

Who is a Hero?
A Hero is a person a] whose absence makes the epic crunch to a halt b] whose presence brings a positive, constructive change to the story.
---
Is Duryodhan a Hero? Without him, the epic would indeed end. He's the bearer of burning, dedicated, fanatical and consistent hatred for Pandavas. Without him there would be no bloodthirsty conspiracy, no malicious plans and certainly no Kurukshetra. Yes, he does satisfy point a ... what of point b?

His one & only victory for Hastinapur is Indraprastha ... but won with absolute zero bravery. While Pandavas were prospering, Duryodhan made no efforts to expand his horizons, even though he had the full military support of Bhishm-Drona and the wise counsel of Vidura. All his grandiose plans ultimately led to destruction of his brothers and family honor.
---
Is Yudhisthir a hero? His absence badly harms any Pandava claim to the throne and makes Duryodhan the clear-cut crown prince. Thus, being eldest is Yudhisthir's major (and perhaps only) plus point. Yet, being born senior is his good luck; definitely not his own achievement.

His role is mildly constructive (the citizens were happy) , but also hugely destructive to the Pandavas. If not for his colossal blunder at dyut sabha, Indraprastha would've remained safe & sound from any external attack.
---
Is Karna a Hero? Does his absence matter? Without him Duryodhan's plans would still continue, aided by Shakuni. Without him Duryodhan would remain arrogant, backed by the military shield of Bhishm-Drona. His presence does not guarantee victory at gurudakshina, ghoshyatra, virat or kurukshetra. In fact MB's most epic battle Kurukshetra begins without karna (10 whole days) and continues smoothly even after his death.

As for point b, the only constructive role karna plays is to create a (misleading) atmosphere of competition, mostly based on his loud claims and inflated views about himself. In reality, he achieves very little on the battlefield (except maybe Digvijay, which itself remains doubtful in its occurrence and if at all true, happens in the glaring absence of Arjun-Bheem).
---
Is Bheem a Hero? Indeed, yes. A giant warrior and a splendid human being. If he was eldest, Indraprastha would never be pledged in dice. He forever played a major role in Pandava protection, both during their forest skirmishes as well as on every battlefield. His presence = death of evil forces like Bakasur,Jarasandha, Keechak and Dury-Dusshasan.
---
Is Arjuna a Hero? Without him, the epic goes blank. [P.S- For simplicity, this post relies on Jaya's current characters without focusing on the very senior legends.] Without Arjun there is no gurudakshina victory, no Drupad defeat and hence, probably no Draupadi birth!!! Without him, Pandavas cannot regain confidence thru alliance with Panchal, in order to re-approach Hastinapur for a share in the kingdom. Without him there is probably no Krishn-angle. Let's face it, Krishn may not have been deeply or emotionally involved with Pandava woes, if his best friends Arjun & Draupadi are cancelled from the equation. Without Arjun, there is no Mayasabha, no Virat victory, no Ghoshyatra victory. As for Kurukshetra ... it is simply unthinkable without Arjun. It could end in 1 day if he so wished; and it would end in 1 day in his absence.

His presence meant new skills, new knowledge, new alliances, new challenges, new conquests, new questions and new vistas explored- both geographical & philosophical.
---
[p.s Krishn and Draupadi not included in this discussion, since (personally speaking, atleast) their heroics form the foundation, the pillar and the peak of MB]

Thanks for sharing the post.

In my view, Arjun is without a doubt the most awesome hero of Mahabharat. He was a great warrior with philosophical mind, and with a compassionate heart. He was also the most charismatic hero of Mahabharat, whose adventures/journeys are portrayed in more detail than any other character in Mahabharat, which itself shows the epic role played by Arjun.

I think Arjun may be the only character in Mahabharat, who was able to have so many diverse experiences in life, which may not be possible for anyone in their own lifetime, such as going on pilgrimages and doing austerities, doing severe penance to please Lord Shiva, testing his valour by fighting with Lord Shiva who was in the guise of a hunter, going to Heaven and helping Gods defeat their rivals, learning music and arts, may be the only warrior who never retreated from any battle (at least I never read anywhere Arjun retreated from a battle) and remained undefeated till his fag end (apart from Babruvahan/Robbers episode at Dwaraka which happened during the last phase in his life), winning many wars/battles single-handed and finally but most importantly for asking questions and raising doubts on everyone's behalf with regards to war/life and its meaning, which compelled Lord Krishna to reveal the Gita.

Again, Arjun may be the only character in Mahabharat who is praised/respected virtually by all (be it Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, other Gods, Parashurama, Bhishma, Drona, Kripa, Karna, Ashwathama, various sages etc., ), he is praised for his valour, truthfulness, purity of character/soul, and for being compassionate and kind. I don't think any other character in Mahabharat is praised as consistently as Arjun by so many persons. This shows how magnificent all-round character Arjun had.

No wonder, Arjun is still celebrated as a revered hero even after thousands of years.
