It's not even about comparing them to other actors who did Ramayan in the past. Ashish and Madirakshi should be compared to themselves and not to Arun-Deepika, Gurmeet-Debina or even Gagan-Neha.

If this Ramayan retains the age old magic of the epic, then I'll be happy and create a place in my heart for Ashish-Madirakshi, but if it ruins the epic in order to cater to modern audience, I will be highly disappointed and refuse to watch another episode.

agree ! i want actors to do justice to the roles, and i am against tulna at all. yeah if the show recreates magic then i will cherish it .

I was highly disappointed with Star Bharat because I had waited for almost a year for it

But this time...I know from January 2015...that Ramayan is coming...but never waited ...zero expectations... So I am happy

If they will make it Classic Masterpiece Unique or ruine it...they have both option

Concept and Perspective are really unique...must say because lots of Ramayan were made previously but This is from Sita mata '$ point of view so nice something new to watch.

But To show Mata Sita at high level.. The MARYADA to Ram '$ character must be sustained

Because whatever happened in epic for against Sita...You can not question mark to Ram

So Limitations must be there from both sides

What is important that who are writers of show and what's their thinking ?

May Be we are wrong ...and this will be really biggest hit ...we all hope also BUT it'$ too early to criticise it ...so I will be silent

And Everyone should get chance to prove us Wrong and we will surely give them.

I truly want to say that I don't like leads even after DKDM makers

But I like King Janak undoubtedly...sets visuals music dialogue and Real natural scenes also

So waiting for 16 November now ...no other options ...we must give them time 😛

yeah i want a dignified presentation of the epic and characters. waiting for the show as it will be shown from sita mata view point. but if sita ji shown aggressive and all. and ram ji character dignity is not maintain and he is labelled as cruel husband i will not take it. 😲

Exactly! Ashish does not have the look of Ram at all. He still reminds me of his fierce army character in Rang Rasiya. He doesn't have the softness, gentleness and pleasing smile of Lord Ram, not to mention his costumes which look too plain and resemble a senadhipati's than a prince's. Ram was a warrior, but he was also an incarnation of God. That distinction needs to be made. This guy looks like he could play Karna or even Arjun, but not Ram.

Oh, one more thing...Ram (and Krishna) always favored pitaambar, so he was mostly seen in yellow dhotis. I hope this serial remembers that.

As for Madirakshi, she could look Sita if not for her downright modern costume, and worse than the costume are her dialogues where she says "prashna karna hai svabhaav mera, svatantra mere vichaar". It indicates that this serial will definitely go the feminist route with Sita preaching independence and pointing fingers at Ram later down the line.

agree ! feminist route has been taken ignoring pain of Ram ji and not totally showing opposite of sita mata what we have read and listened about her.

Somehow, I find it difficult to imagine Sita in dull colors, like the ones below - light green and pale pink. Even if it was a pre-marital shot - judging from the broken bow - she would still have been decked in some bright red colors. They can transition to a pale saffron look during vanvas, but for marriage, this was not right at all.

Ashish does look like a Rama in this pic - I don't have to remember Gunahon ka devta or Raang Rasiya to picture him in this role. But Madira doesn't look like a Sita at all - for a Sita, you want someone whose face looks like that of a beauty queen. Madira looks okay, but hardly the sort of person that a Ravan would be willing to risk destroying his whole family and life for. She'd probably have suited Mandavi's role better.

Goddess Sita's look in this show looks so similar to goddess Sati's look in DKDM! i read an article in which it was said that this serial will show that godddess sita wasn't a doormat,but i just hope that in the process of showing this they don't make goddess sita argue with lord Ram or her elders. I agree goddess Sita was a very strong woman but i've always seen goddess sita as a polite and compassionate lady full of love,wisdom and patience so i can never accept the fact that goddess sita will argue or behave in an aggressive way.And i think that is what the difference between goddess sita and draupadi is-both of them were very strong but goddess Sita always displayed silent stoic confidence whereas Draupadi was confident but wasn't that silent or forgiving.If they show goddess Sita in raising her point everywhere or questioning everyone thus showing her "Swatantra Vichaar" or behaving aggressively then for me there won't be any difference between goddess Sita and Draupadi! Even Devdutt Pattanaik is involved in the show and I had once read one of his articles where he had written that Lord Ram had very heartlessly told goddess Sita that for him his family's reputation is more important than her so I just think that in all this they don't show Lord Ram as someone who never had trust for goddess Sita,nowadays hardly people know anything about our epic even my own friends say that they like Raavan more than Lord Ram!this is the mentality of people nowadays so I just don't want that in the process to show a serial from goddess Sita's perspective they end up spoiling Lord ram's character.
Ashish is a good actor so I'm trusting him but even I'm not impressed with Madirakshi! Yes she looks innocent the way goddess Sita is supposed to be but I don't find her so good

i have read his book retelling of Ramayan from sita ji POV. and i am not impressed with madirakshi. and i dont know if Lord Rama told this to sita ji. will read valmiki ramayan again.
