Akshay Kumar
Btw, I have a quesion about Shesha Naag. I always thought it was Vishnu's Sesha Naag who was the father of Sulochana (meaning that Lakshman basically killed his son-in-law!😲) but someone told me that it was another Shesha Naag. Do you have any idea about this?

She was a pativrata, but not one of the Maha Satis, Nandini.😊 There are five maha satis and five kanyas that are reverred:
These are the pancha kanyas:
'Ahalya, Draupadi, Kunti, Tara and Mandodari
These are the pancha Maha Satis:
Sati, Sita, Savitri, Damayanti and Arundhati

No, Sulochna was not the Daughter of the Vishnu's Sheshnaag. According to mythology Sheshnaag has thousands of more brothers. But Vishnu's Shaeshnaag was saddened by the wicked ways of his brothers and decided to leave them. He then spent his life in complete devotion of God. Pleasing by him Brahmaji appeared there and offered him to grant a Boon. He said he dont wish to live among his brothers and want to attain salvation, Brahma pleased by him booned that U will be the the bed of Great Vishnu and wear the weight of whole Earth upon ur Head. And since then the Mightiest of servants is holding the Earth on his Head.
But this dosent mean there are not other SHesh Naags, They were thoushands of brothers and are very wicked in nature. Sulochana was the Daughter of one of them. SO there is no connection between lakshman and Sulochana :)

There were many pativratas in our puranas, including Urmila and Kaushalya also, but the pancha kanyas were a step higher, and the pancha maha satis another step higher. It's said that taking the names of Sati, Sita, Savitri, Damayanti, and Arundhai absolves us of our sins.😊

Thanks for clearing this up Varnita, it makes sense now.😊 I always thought Vishnu's Sesh Naag was the only one, so I found it a bit weird that Lakshman would kill his own son-in-law, even if he may be evil, but since Indrajit was not Lakshman's son-in-law that makes sense.😆

@everyone,
There are some stories that say Pavan Dev had impregnated Anjana like he had impregnated Kunti later on in Dwapar Yuga, which is why Hanuman is called Pavanputra, but the most popular source is that Anjana and Kesari were blessed by him to have a son like him, and that is the one I like best because it does not demean the Gods' greatness.😊 Some stories make them seem like carnal creatures and I don't like that.🤢
Likewise, I am guessing that Rikshaja and Aruni were also the biological parents of Vali and Sugriva, but were blessed by Indra and Surya to have sons like that, so that's why Vali is called Indra's son and Sugriva Surya's son.
