Jai Shree Krishna!
Sabhaku Namasaakaram!
(which means 'Namaskaar to everyone gathered here' in Telugu😆)
As you all can see, I labeled this entry as 'November 26', which is not in accordance with the date I really saw the Kans Vadh track. However, since it has been so long since I wrote my previous entry and I no longer remember the exact dates in which I originally saw the episodes, from now on I will write my entries in terms of 1-3 episodes depending on what happened in the scenes. This way, I can spend more time on each episode and share more of my views with you all.😃
Episode 31
Following Shri Krishna's divine Raas Leela, we find ourselves back in Mathura at Kans's chamber. He has a nightmare where his destruction at the hands of Lord Vishnu is symbolized (similar to Trijata's dream about Ravan's destruction). Freaking out, he calls an emergency meeting with his fellow goons and tells them that he has lost hope he will ever win against the child Krishna

^^ As you guys can see from the above scenes, all the ministers of Kans are worried by his state of mind, and try to offer him words of comfort but nothing works. Finally, the Kulguru tells Kans that there is one way he can win against Krishna, and that is to perform the Dhanuryagna to appease Lord Shiva. He then tells his audience the secret of the Dhanush and how it came to their family. Many years ago, Lord Shiva gave the bow to his faithful devotee, Nandishwar, who in turn gave it to Parashuram. Parashuram gave it to the Royal family of Mathura, and Tripurari used the same bow to kill Tripurasur. Lord Shiva had two bows, one of which Lord Ram broke in the Treta Yuga, and the other which was still at Mathura in the Dwapar Yuga. Kans's Kulguru advises him to perform a yagna in prayer to the bow, but also warns him that the bow should not be broken, or else whoever broke it would be the death of him.
Kans and his ministers make a master plan to invite Krishna for the Dhanuryagna, and then order their wrestlers to kill him when he comes there. Kans is dubious that Krishna will agree to the invitation, and one of his ministers advises him to send it on behalf of one he cannot refuse...Vasudev and Devaki. Kans is unsure of this as well, since he knows Devaki will never invite her son to his own death, but Chanur has a solution to this as well. He suggests to Kans that he should appoint Akrur, whom Vasudev and Devaki trust completely, to accomplish this task. He claims that they should bribe Akrur so that the latter comes to their side, but Kans disagrees saying that Akrur would never do that, since he is loyal only to Shursen and would never go against him or his sons. Chanur then suggests that they should bribe him with the reign of one state in their Kingdom, and that Akrur could not possibly refuse that. If bribe does not work, they should then threaten him with punishment. Satisfied with this, Kans summons Akrur.

^^ Akrur refuses the bribe Kans gives him, stating that his true master is Maharaj Shursen and that he will not do anything that will go against his interests. Kans tries to bribe him in all ways, telling him that he will release Vasudev from jail and make him Yuvaraj, but when he finds out that Kans wants to invite Krishna to the Dhanuryagna, Akrur sees right through his plan and vehemently refuses to take part in it. He states that as a servant of Shursen, his duty is to protect the royal family and he will never do anything that will endanger Krishna's life.
Angry, Kans wants to do a massacre to forcibly bring Krishna to Mathura, but Chanur advises him against it saying that that would make people rebel. Instead, he tells Kans that they should use Devaki's vulnerability so that she herself orders Akrur to bring Krishna to Mathura.

^^ Kans has Vasudev blindfolded and lowered into a pit of poisonous snakes, and tells Devaki that unless she accepts Krishna as her son and orders him to come to Mathura, he will kill her husband. Torn between her husband and son, Devaki is mentally tortured while Vasudev tries to advice her that with God protecting them, she has no need to worry and should not admit to anything, but Devaki finally breaks down and accepts Krishna as her son. She agrees to order Akrur to bring Krishna to Mathura, and a triumphant Kans has Vasudev released.😡
Meanwhile, Akrur is shocked when he learns of Devaki's decision and tries to change her mind, but even in her helpless state, she is adamant and tells him that there is nothing to think about. Krishna has to come to Mathura upon the orders of his parents. Akrur agrees to do her bidding, but at the same time he is not willing to endanger Krishna's life. He makes a plan with his gupta chars to make Kans think he is bringing Krishna to Mathura, but in reality they will take him away somewhere else to keep in safety, until the time comes that Krishna should kill Kans and fulfill the Akashwani's prophesy.
I am going to stop there for this entry, and continue later on so that we can discuss all the politics of this episode in detail.😳 They were all very interesting!
Jai Shri Krishna!
