Sounds good to me guys, let's do this 👍🏼 Just in the legend table, second cousins should be clarified since terms like this one are used differently in different countries. I only know that here in the US, it means children of your cousins. And a minor correction from both this post and one I noticed earlier in the discussion - Nand and Vasudev ARE indeed related (so by extension so are Vasudev and Yashoda). Shursen and Nand's father were paternal cousins.

Yes. We have discussed this thing before too in our personal conversations I think (and it is there in some pre Krishna birth dialog too in SK I guess). Nand and Vasudev were cousins I knew that but I was not knowing the source and also knew that different sources may have differences and therefore it never clicked in my mind to put forward this point ahead since I implied that Vrish and Varaali must be knowing more than me in this. Very good point you have drawn attention to. Nand can definitely be related with Vasudev but still the essence of the matter remains the same - Nand can't be related with Vasudev through Krishna. You can use either real parent relation or adoptive parents relation in your answer but you can't use both in the same answer.

2nd cousin was a new word for me too when Vrish first used it. And the fact that you are saying was not only new for me but also beyond my guess too (Children of cousin). But he also gave example along with it to me. So by 2nd cousin, Vrish means to say, cousin of cousin. First cousin of my first cousin (but other than myself or my real brother or my also other first cousin). Krishna and Arjun are first cousins. Krishna, Balram, Shishupal and Dushasan are first cousins of Arjun. But Krishna and Shishupal are also first cousins. So other than oneself (Krishna), one's direct real brother (Balram) and one's first cousin too (Shishupal); all other 1st cousins (Kauravas) of our 1st cousin (Arjun) will be our 2nd cousins. That's what Vrish meant I think and the way I interpreted. This category of 5 points can be dropped anyhow from the above format. That can be very well left to the solver to establish one by one link and to show and elaborate the relation no issue.

You are right - second cousin does mean precisely that, not what I meant. I re-worded it to Indirect cousin, and described it in the final post - just posted - as the relationship b/w one's paternal cousins and the same person's maternal cousins.

Actually, 2nd cousin means children of parent's cousin. Third cousin would be children of parent's second cousin, and so on.

On Nand & Vasudev, Shivang is right - if one can connect them through ways other than Krishna, than that is valid. One just can't connect them through Krishna.

Anyway, I've posted the new thread, and the first question. Glue it, and kick of this yuga's olympics 😆

Quick question for you guys with regard to the lyrics thread: I have long been wondering how we should go about transferring the vast collection of songs that we already had in the CCs in a way that's organized so that it's easy for both readers and cataloguing in the ToC. I came up with this: I temporarily lock the thread with a note about my plan, create a parallel thread on ONE SHOW AT A TIME with a no comments rule for minimal interruption, we divide and conquer, and I merge it back into the lyrics thread. When merged, the posts automatically sort by date and time, so if we only work on one show at a time then the thread will end up neatly and tidily segmented like chapters in a book. Think it will work?

Perfect. That way all works of all the shows - new and old - will come together at one place also and different serials songs/dialogs will not intervene and interrupt each other's continuity. Also the songs of one particular show also will be in the sequence as far as possible if properly planned.

^^ Lol I just realized that I can't merge whole threads; I just move them one post at a time. So what we can do is create the first show-specific thread, and when we complete it, I'll move the first two posts from the existing lyrics thread to the new one. The will automatically be put in the beginning so we'll have our intro and ToC at the right place. Then I will just keep changing the title of the thread from one show to the next as we complete them and stick it up there as our lyrics gallery when it is fully ready. The 'division of labor' can be decided in the fanclub for each specific show ahead of time and the lyrics that have to be typed up from scratch rather than copy-pasted from the CCs and RF can even begin to be noted down in them. Still sounds ok?

Welcome aboard! I addressed your question in the video library thread, but just in case, the episode guide to the 56 disc set that's HQ but badly edited is on sagarworld.com, and the guide to the older 12 disc edition that is lower quality but not missing any scenes up to the Gurukul track can be read here: http://intelindia.com/mahabharat/krishna.htm
