and, now dont remind me of that..what a worthy match it would have been..and we would seen a lot more lively performances also.... I would cheered for both of them..and would not have minded whoever wins..But here,,, I have to frantically pray that the best voice wins..and GOD please lets not have a mediocre idol..

Yeah, I definitely agree with you guys. Here we are, arguing about whether the guy who attempts hard songs is better than the guy who sings some songs EXTREMELY well, when sadly we had a singer who both attempted hard songs and sang them well...

I missed Emon so much in today's concert😭

Amit should win- he's far more consistent than Prashant. Say what you will about "comfort zones" and stuff, but I'd sure as hell rather have an Idol who can sing some things really great than a "versatile" singer who sings both hard and easy things not so great...

Oh really, Amit is not versatile. So that means he has been singing only slow romantic songs. What was Kora Kogaz, what about yeh dil, jhumroo, tum kya jano, etc? Emon was the most versatile singer in the competition. He could sing anything and it would sound brilliant. After Emon, Amit has been the most versatile. The only genre he faultered with is folk songs as his omkara and maeeri were not as great compared to his other performances. I am glad he is singing a folk song in the last gala. The standing ovation will prove that among the 2 left, he is not just versatile, but indeed the best singer left. He has been consistent right from the first gala which is a must for playback singers today. If you are still in the improving stage, the music directors will not wait for you to take training, they want someone who can sing consistently well.

Well said....

That is what is happening to Sandeep Acharya.. he has to take music lessons now..and yet to do any playback.... His album came and went without a ripple. .Karunya has already sung in a HIT film in 2006 Lage Raho Munna Bhai and also has a new album. Even Abhijit Sawant has sung for Himesh (music director's) song..his second album is decent too...Amit Sana had a whole film to playback!!

We cant afford the next indian Idol to sit at home and take lessons for years to learn the first thing about sur and sargam...! can we?

If that happens, we will see Abhijeet in the Rubaroo next year too with his third album. Sony will once again not show the third II, and just show him in the final to give away the title. Imagine if Sandeep and Karunya both come in the final and Mini asks what have they been upto. It will be such a shame that the runners up is already more successful than the winner and the winner has yet to achieve fame. She can't even say his debut album was a hit. This whole voting system is such crap.

That is what happened in American Idol last season also...No one bothers about Taylor Hicks... Chris Daughtry is creating waves... I stay outside US, and Chris is famous here too.. every shop and cafe play's Daughtry's music.
This season the Exit song was by Chris too and not Hicks.

True talent wins.. VOTES cant buy talent. Talent is what remains with the contestants...

Only Talent survives whether they win or dont!

👏

Well said!

No matter who wins, it's whoever uses the show as a "bridge" to the music industry who's going to succeed. The people with real talent and real ambition to become professional singers are the ones who I'm sure we'll be hearing from again!
Winning or being on II really only gaurantees 15 minutes of fame- the rest of it has to be earned like any other person😊

So, we just have to hope that the really talented people who've been voted off will have the ambition to come back and make their name in the music industry!😉

Its very sad to see sone ppl still degrading Amits ability when he has clearly proved his mettle.
Amit is the most versatile not Emon,Udit ji in his comments said that Amit has sung all types of songs equally well,
Its not true either that Amit can sing only some songs really well & has not atempted hard songs,do u think songs like Dil lena khel,ye jo desh hai mera, tum kya jano, jhumroo, gustakh dil are easy songs? the above mentioned songs are each different & is a testament to his versatility.Emon is a very good singer but his voice is not sweet & it gets thin in the high notes, listen to then singing dhamaal in Emon's last gala(the way he sings' dhamaal')
Emon has not pulled off so many different genres as beautifully as Amit did.
as for Prashant sadly he is no match with Amit, sometimes u can barely hear Prashants voice above the music.the final would have been so much better had it been Emon & Amit.
