I think it is very important for the judges to criticize the contestants so only then they would be able to find out what is it that they need to work on! Also, most of the time critisizing makes contestants want to work harder to impress the judges and the audience in the future! It is the critisizing that helps the contestans in figuring what is their performance lacking.

that's exactly what i have been trying to say.......even Javed ji said in todays performance that you should take critizism as a challange not disencouragement......

welcome cheifsaab.....udit ji ki tarha aahista aahista agaey aap😆

since you gave the examples of parents, therefore i also tried to contradict your opinion using the example you gave to make you understand clearly. however, a good guru will always be harsh to his contestants because he wants the contestants to emerge as flawless. i hope you get the point. the debate is about being critical or encouraging and since you agree on being critical then i think the question of being harsh or not shouldnt come in between. however if you insist that harsh criticism can depress the contestants, then they should go back home and cry behind the curtains, this platform is not for them. a harsh critique knows when and what flaws should be pointed out. harsh tone is just a reminder for them that they have to do better efficiently. aap ko kya lagta hai mujhe yeh sub karte huey acha lagta hai, ya is sey mujhe shaanti milti hai? nahi, i would like them to see how the professional world is at a young age, yeh jo dukhi aur roney ke jo excuses hain woh yehan nahi chalega, they need to learn how to tackle ups and downs which also includes harsh criticisms

aap dono meri baat se sehmat hain. yeh to khushi ki baat hai, javed saab aap ne to aaj khud hi keh diya ke criticism ko challenge ki tarah lena chahiye aur dikha dena chahiye logo ko, ab criticism harsh ho ya na ho, baat to ek hi hai na, agar in contestants me dum hai aur taakat hai challenge lene ki to criticism kaisa bhi ho, woh unko apni spirit mein lenge aur ainda improve karne ki koshish karenge

am answering the point that's highlighted in blue....... if you do sumthing for the first time and somebody be it your parents, teacher or friends critisize it by saying it's crap etc etc it's awful and it hurts i agree.......

i'll give you another eg when i strated cooking for the first time my mum used tell me of nicely about where i went wrong but when i was still making the same mistake i used to get a right telling off by her and she used to say stuff like "look at girls in your age they know how to make this and they do it without there mothers help"etc etc....and trust me them comments really hepled me, know whenever i cook i give my 110% .....so basically how long can you say to some one nicely that you need improving.....even my driving instructor used to shout at me to get best out of me😛

hope it all makes sense😳

my mother always does that to me.......but it never works.....i say her i wont do any work until you stop telling this n that.

well here the situation you explained is different.......i know they wouldn't have left the venue but thing is that did they improve? ........they wont improve too.
