I don't think that song is an example of overlapping tracks. There are many songs (for ex. listen to Bose: A forgotten hero songs) which are but not this one IMO.

though i am a die-hard fan of AMEY still I would say AMEY DISAPPOINTED me .. more than his singinging I would say it was a very wrong choice ... his singinging never suites that of Daler Mehendi ...and he could not do justice ..In fact his was the WORST singing after Sandeep ....

Yes, u r right, Amey should've stuck to thhose rickshawala type songs...since most ppl lik hearing to thsoe numbers. I cant' believe u r blaming Amey for picking a Rehman song and believing in his voice. Only singers who believe in their talent have guts to choose rehman songs. Instead of applauding his versitality u blame him for his choice of song.

It is overlapping tracks---IM 100% SURE.....thts why when this song was sung in SRGMP, they had Hema singing in one scale and vinit singing in another.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID! has anyone else sung an AR REHMAN song in the show except amey?! an ar rehman song tests the limits of every singer and whoever can sing it is really talented. amey was amazing singing it.

Nobody wants Amey to sound exactly like Daler. One should always be true to thier voice like Karunya. He is not imitating Nusrat saheb, he is singing the song to the best of his ability in his own style. Nobody asked amey to sing like Daler, he chose to sing like him and he failed miserably at it. He was not singing the song correctly. I mentioned earlier that he had goofed up at the "sanse" part. He is a really good singer and should not make such silly mistakes. He has a long road ahead of himself. Everythime he is on the stage he should give his best performance as millions are watching him including the music directors who would want him to playback for them. If he makes these mistakes they might not want him.
