If this is true then why he was unhappy with Meenal's performance in gala4 and he gave bad comments. Why he was against Meeenal for makeover although everygirl was taking care of it. Why did he said "Aaj itna aacha nahi tha" Although she sang well without any mistake. It is not like you are thinking if Sonu loves and praises for Meenal then what the reason we see her always in bottom 2 or 3.

you people why dont you consider the fact that sonu knows so much more than you all when it comes to music and each and every comment of his is perfect for all the contestants. he praised monali when she sang better during the results.. even i noticed that there was such a big difference! without him on the show, the show would have no real musical value

hi i absolutely agree with you...Sonu is our country's most talented and most trained( classical) judge..so , just think, who knows better ...us or Sonu..?

i am getting surprised...here ppl are questioning abt sonu's ability..whoever has any doubts abt his comments, thr is only one suggestion, please listen to the original song, thn close ur eyes n listen to monali's song...thats all i can say..

i dont think sonu is against any1..he is desperately trying to improve the quality of the prog unlike other judges..if ppl observe, quality of singing has come down when compared to II 1.

I don't know how people can even question about Sonu's comments. He never give false praise to somebody who doesn't sing well or if somebody sings well, he is more than happy to say good things about that person. Everybody else other than Amey and Karunya sang poorly, at least not upto the Indian Idol standard. Panna sang the entire 'Aaja Aaja' song 'besura' and Sonu mentioned that. Sonu faltu baatein nahin karte hain aur jhhuta tarif bhi nahin karte hain. He is the best.

Hmm yes I agree he seems harsher than he should be or he generally is, these days. I too felt his comment on Monali was outrightly too blunt. I liked her singing, she def was not as bad as he made her out to be.

But he is known always to give honest opinions. I have never known him to just invent or smoothen anything for the sake of being politically correct. Be it regarding his gala comments or even abt his other matters. But yeah maybe...a change could help sustain the better singers longer in the show. 😕

SONU ne jo kuch bhi kaha sach kaha.Monali's performance was weak in the galas.I am glad he said it.He doesnt hav 2 fear anyone.He is a person of character and dignity and is xtremely sincere 2 his music.He will not lie 2 please anyone.Thts his dignity and I reapect him 4 tht

Sonu said worse comments abt Panna.Why was he safe?When Sonu said his bottom 3 it was Ravi,Panna and Anuj.All 3 were safe na.Its really shameful tht people r cursing such a respected person just coz Monali got out.SONU knows aabt music more than anyone else and his comments were very very genuine.

Hridiji u said Sonu will hav 2 pay 4 it.Pehle aapko mera saamna karna padega.Coz Sonu is a very divine and humble person and unko curse karne se kuch nahi hoga kyunk unkeliye main double dua maangoongi.

Sonu is the most credible judge on the show..and Monali deserved to go out...maybe not this early but she would have been out anyway
