Another newbie....this time from UK

Used to enjoy the show but without eliminations it is getting boring.

Some observations:

The buffoon Narayan - please stop picking on certain contestants. I think it would be termed victimisation elsewhere.

And Neha Kakkar....you need a new stylist. Your outfits and style have gone down since you married ?

And please hold the glycerine!

That's ridiculous, Pawan was hardly there last week and is still not in form after his illness. I think the idol is trying to sabotage Arunita and Saili

Sunday Recap

Arunita-OMG she is so amazing. I mentioned in a previous post that I got goosebumps listening to her promo and listening to the 2nd antara I felt like I was transported somewhere else. What a phenomenal singer she is. I can't believe those judges didn't stand up for her. At least Sukhwinder Singh acknoweledged her brillance and the great Aadesh Shrivastav RIP. One of the best music directors ever for Bollywood and an excellent judge as well.

SMP-I knew the second she started breathing into the microphone the 3 judges would start going crazy and I was right haha. Her actual notes were flat throughout the song and she was compensating for it with her screaming and yelling. A typial SMP performance. And people are complaining that SMP is getting sidelined??? What are they talking about? Everytime she sings the judges go crazy for no reason. Too much bias and favoritism.

Danish and Sayli-Of course it starts with Danish doing alaps because those need to happen otherwise judges won't be satified. Sayli sounded great throughout the song but Danish sounded just ok. Not bad but not good. Overall an average duet. Sukwinder Singh is such a great singer and they both did what they could and it was an overall decent attempt.

Pawandeep and Ashish-Very average singing for both of them today. I kinda started missing Solanki after hearing slow motion angreza. People seem to forget he slayed that song everytime he sang it on Indian Idol. The show is making it too obvious that Pawandeep is already winner. I would have concurred maybe 2 months ago but now he is just an average singer.

Sayli-Even though the song is not a Sukhwinder Singh song, I thought Sayli did a decent job singing it overall. Not bad but not good either. I know Sayli can sing much better than this.

Anjali-Again another repeated song. Anjali actually sang better here than she did during the theater round which was shocking. She does alaps much better than Danish and Sawaii in my opinion because she doesn't scream. Danish and Sawaii resort to screaming. Overall best I have liked Anjali in a long time. It's a shame they left her for the end. She was one of the better performances today.

Pawandeep and Sawaii in the top 2 is a complete joke. This just proves the whole quitting the show thing was just a stunt to get more votes. The show is becoming extremely predictable in having a singer of lower economic status make the top 3/4 or win. Swaroop, Khuda, Salman, Sunny, Sawaii, the list goes on. Arunita is the rightful winner but she will likely be 3rd just like her counterparts Neelanjana and Ankona. Kinda shows how scripted the show is.

Today’s episode was a lot better than yesterday’s singing wise.

All individual performance were so good.

Arunita - she sang brilliantly. It’s not her type of song, and you couldn’t tell. She was that good.

SMP - I actually liked her performance today. Except for the way she ended it, it was a fine performance. I think this is one performance of hers that I will remember.

Sayli - phenomenal. After her diet I was disappointed, but her individual performance was flawless. I’ve heard this song in many reality shows, this rendition was easily one of the best.

Anjali - another repeated song, another classical song. Great execution, but I’m bored. I wish they gave her more songs to experiment with.

Ashish - Pawandeeps duets were good, I preferred slow motion angreza to titli, but they were both good. Surprisingly, Ashish was pretty good too.

Danish - Sayli - didn’t enjoy it at all. Saylis voice lacked the ‘rustic ness’ this song needs. I just couldn’t feel the song. Danish’s aalaps were just not needed. Not every song needs aalaps.

I did enjoy the little ramta jogi performance, though Sukhwinder was showing off, but Danish matched him perfectly.

Also when Sukhwinder sang with SMP, I didn’t enjoy his improvisation at all.

They didn’t show the announcement of the top 2 here, but once again it’s Sawai and Pawandeep, none of whom I’d like to see as a winner.

Exactly word to word my sentiments. I hope the audience sees through this nonsense, but then, if they are not even looking for valid voting then the finale will be garbage.

I always felt that pawandeep was overrated, arunita was underrated, neha is a biggest fake drama queen and himesh her fairy chamcha

They are also ignoring better singers and are going for screamers because each of these three idiots judges are screamers themselves

What a shame

The moment others gets some praise jealousy is going to peaks on this forum. There were episodes where Arunitha was all the time singing and the same judges praising her to skies that time didn't you feel they are useless. When Arunitha was consistently top voted public is sensible and if not public is senseless. For what ever reason I see Sawai staying in top2 is healthy. I used to feel there is no competition left for top2 with Pawandeep and Arunitha. Now it's not the case. That is good sign. Anyone can be top2 so it is atleast a bit interesting from overall competition perspective.

By the way so called screamers in your opinion are the least promoted by Sony tv. And most of the time they just get 1 song in two episodes that too 3 min. Atleast their exceptional talent is saving them and making their mark on the show. As the songs given to them are high pitch songs they are doing justice to that. What's wrong? Are you expecting a peppy high pitch song to be sung in low notes with melodious voice. If you don't like loud music don't watch but don't judge their singing abilities. Sustaining high notes in a high pitch is not easy you need to have lot of command and control on your voice.

Arunitha not being in top2 is not because of your so called screamers as much as I can see its because of Sayali and Pawandeep. Sayali lately at her best so eating away some votes. Pawandeep for the reason he is back so some of common fans who were voting her before choose him over Arunitha I guess. There is no way SMP,Danish and Sawai have a common fan base with Arunitha. So unnecessarily don't target them.
