Danish Khan was beyond words. His performance was the best. Outstanding. Truly. I was spellbound. He took such unbelievable taanein, variations, sargams and alaaps. Mind blowing. But what the hell was Neha doing during his alaap at the start of the song. She actually laughed instead of doing ah ah ah.

Next comes Sawai. His was a divine performance. I totally connected with him. Beautiful rendition of Haji ali.

Ashish was okayish. He lost sur here and there. He didn't deserve mbd.

Pawandeep was very lackluster. His performance was embarrassing. No feel. Sur going haywire. No connect. Nothing. I am shocked and confused why he was called kohinoor and got mbd today.

Nihal was easily the worst by miles. He had no idea what he was singing. He not only lost sur, he lost the tune, the octave. It was simply bizzare performance. Never seen a worse rendition of such a nice song. Again I am irritated how can anyone call him playback singer based on this performance.

Sayli performance was forgettable. She looked more interested in mother's gift than singing qawalli. Blah. Boring.

Looks to be that's what they want. They are not even bothered to release Anjali promo. SMP promo is released for the sake of it just to keep her fans happy. I can clearly see what they are trying to do they don't want Anjali to take Ashish or Sayali's votes as all of them from same state. SMP I guess they are afraid if she reach top5 she might become a threat to their favorites. She has talent as well as vote bank if her vote bank increases it will be a threat. So they are doing as much as they keep her out of top5 by giving her repeat songs, just one 3 min song in two episodes.

One of my pet peeves about this edition of Idol is the completely illogical and high-handed way that the makers have distributed performances by contestants.One reason is the fact that they are carrying 9 contestants when the ideal size for proper distribution is 6 or 7 given the time and the other non-song related TRP stunts that they will include.

But that is their own creation and they should have thought about it.

Everyone should get the same chance to sing.
No song should be repeated by the same contestant.
Contestants should sing according to the theme not according to what the makers think will attract TRP.
Every contestant should sing the guest's song, not something disconnected.
Episodes should explore different genres.
That is what all music reality shows do. Idol 12 is a big exception. If that means one failure by one favoured or talented (according to the judges) contestant they can always be saved by the judges using wildcard. It has been done before. That makes it transparent, not this biased and illogical show which stinks of insider shenanigans.

He has shown tremendous growth as a singer throughout the show. But last night he was unbearable. Even worse than Pawandeep. You should listen again. He was going completely off the tune. He was just mumbling and sleepwalked throughout his performance.

Contestants ask for votes only after their solo performance. So the girls are going to ask for votes tonight only. It was boys night on Saturday.

The initial question was not about asking votes. He was pointing out the fact when SMP and Anjali are sidelined completely in one of the episodes how they are supposed to get votes like others who are singing two songs in each episode? Not that whether contestants ask or not. By the way yesterday no one asked for votes after their performance or may be I saw some edited version not sure.

I groaned out loud when he was in the middle of the song. Nachiket would’ve done justice to Shukran Allah. It is one of my favorite songs.

Yeah he is like a gentle breeze cooling everything and everyone.
