Whatever be the case, once he saw the evidence of Raghu being alive he ran to Imlie's help. He was guilty of mistrusting her.

It was Dadi who forced Surya to marry Imlie and coerced him. He was guilty that Agastya died because of his enemies so he did agree for the wedding. Then Tayiji comes and asks him not to marry and he was going to break the promise but after seeing Agastya's video he did take up the responsibility of Imlie and came back to marry Imlie.

It would have been easy for Surya too if he did not show up at the mandir. He would not have hurt his family members, He would have apologized to Dadi and maybe Dadi would have forgiven him and later on he could have married Anjali. But he chose to do the one thing his brother wished for - give Imlie happiness in her life. I feel Surya did not come to mandir due to Dadi but more due to Agastya's video. After seeing the video he decided to stand by Imlie and he has been doing that since then.

Imlie told him not to touch and he did not even touch her after that. Now with Anjali coming in the mix he is also bound to feel disappointed and guilty that he hurt his love. But he did not give her any false promise - straight away told her that their paths are not same and broke up with her.

Today I felt bad for Surya - He has become punching bag for everyone and he does not have any one who really understands what he feels.

Good points Sharda .. felt so bad for surya when he said he was one who is the most affected and Sai showed his desperation very well 👌 everyday his acting is improving smiley32

Best scene for me today was ( though it was not even for a second )

1. when imlie was eating the halwa and surya had that naughty smile on his face .. surya and imlie whenever they fall in love with eo it’s going to be head over heels .. hopefully we get trps and they have the time to show their love story !!

2. Surya telling imlie about dadi and family how they treated her !!

P. S Loved today’s epi ( wish it was longer ) everyone did their job well smiley32

Surya ne kal wohi bola, 6 seconds ke kaam ke liye she took 6 minutes.

Maine bhi yeh point out kia that she is not picking her battles wisely. If you keep fighting everyone for the silliest of reasons, log seriously lena band kar denge.

I personally didn’t like his “6 seconds ke kaam ke liye 6 minutes le li” comment. His whole “bhatton ki liye time nahi” thing keeps getting him in trouble.

Things have to be given time for them to be properly be dealt hit. By rushing through things, you’re only putting it for later. It’s the whole reason why his breakup with Anjali will backfire on him. Who breaks up a serious relationship like that on the phone with no justification? Like sure, it’s honourable that he’s not leading her on, but she’s still going to show up to his house for Holi and be the vamp of the season.

Agastya was impulsive but he also had backup plans to help him out, death was the only reason he couldn’t resolve the Binni wala idiocy himself.

Whether it be by not touching her or by fighting for her rights as his wife in front of the family. He has shown a lot of growth since the marriage. Although, I’m not pighlao-ing, I appreciate his efforts.

But on the other end, whenever he leaves the house, it feels like a “When the cat is gone, the mice dance” situation. The women in his house, at the exception of Chachi, unnecessarily taunt Imlie. It’s not even to make her adapt to their norms, Tayyi just likes being in control at the expense of others being miserable. Imlie completed the rassam, so why come back and make unnecessary comments when Surya managed to fill up the forms for her. She couldn’t let the husband and wife have their moment? She could’ve told Imlie to keep fate in her husband instead of that whole “education is a hobby for women” bs.

She went through some stuff in her life and it’s horrible. But the whole thing with asking Malti to call Imlie’s dadi, Nirmala spoiling her cooking and them gloating about Imlie knowing her place whilst eating Imlie’s halwa, like it’s the most unnecessary thing for Imlie to deal with at the moment. Imlie is right to say that Tayyi doesn’t prioritize her education so she’ll always find an excuse to keep her in the house to complete her “kartavya” as his wife. Even if he doesn’t care to impose anything on Imlie, his family will continue to expect things from her. It’s easier to deal with things when it’s for your own family.

Surya may feel indebted to this family and Tayyi for taking him in but Imlie doesn’t. She’s right to say that this is his normal so he doesn’t question how wrong it is. Imlie is still so polite with them despite how inconsiderate they are in their ways.

I really want them to one day understand eachother honestly, both of their families are wrong with some good people sprinkled in. I really need some cousins for Surya! Poor Chachi is the only good person amongst the Reddy’s right now.

I agree with what you are saying about Reddy women Kashish. Yes Tayiji is regressive, she is authoritative and Nirmala is vicious. Yup totally get that. But Imlie lived with Alka na - She was also like that only. In fact Imlie grew up with Mami and I don't think Mami is any saint when compared to the Reddy women. When Imlie had patience to go through all those hurdles and when she was always the person who looked for 1 day at a time what is different here ?

Imlie is clear that she wants to leave after 1 year of marriage. Is she going to give any justification to the Reddy family ? No she has in fact dumped the whole thing on Surya's head and asked him to sort out with his family. So why exactly is she fighting for every single thing and trying to change Tayiji's mind and opinion if she is not going to have a life long relationship with them ?

I get what Imlie is going through. She is in deep pain and she feels cheated that she has been forced for this relationship which was not her choice. She tried her level best to avoid getting married but nope it did not work out. Now she is like the person who just wants to get out of the maze and for that she is fighting for every single thing and snapping at probably the only person who is with her - Surya.

Imlie is fighting on things that have not yet happened - When she could manage school even being a naukarani in Chaudhary's house or when she was running aloo puri thela then she can easily manage going back to school now when she is bahu of Reddy house. So today's outburst of Imlie felt exaggerated for me and I felt more sympathetic to Surya.

@bold:- That is his characterization. He is very impulsive and takes action before he stops to think if he did correct. If you remember his introduction scene he did the same thing - He killed off the criminal and then created a story to match the crime scene. Is that wrong - Maybe. But he might have been that kind of a person who takes decisions first and then later understands the repercussions.

Even with the Anjali break up scene he should have taken his time and should have broken up with Anjali giving the truth but he chose to do it in the moment which will make Anjali mad and possessive for Surya.

After quite sometime, I totally loved today’s episode. The angst was just right between imlie and surya.. I hope the focus remains on imlie-surya and their relationship and how they actually come together.

with surya’s family coming in and all situations thrown at him, surya is also slowly starting to unravel well. Imlie is also good now. I like this version of imlie.

As a viewer of imlie s3, somehow only the lead scenes and their story worked for me and even now that seems to be the case. Hope Anjali and family drama is focussed only to the right amount which is to stir the pot between imlie-surya and how they accept each other and really not to the point that I have to keep searching for the leads story in the family and third angle drama.

I think it’s easier for us to put up with our own family than others. It’s the entire reason Surya doesn’t see anything wrong with his family. Or why Agastya endured every harsh things Alka told him growing up. It’s a little hypocritical bias of human nature.

Imlie doesn’t know or care for any of them yet, it gives her no will to comply with their nautanki. I really want her to bond with Chachi, cousins or even begin to understand Tayyi’s past. I think some new characters are being introduced during Holi as well, not sure though.

Right now, Imlie is alone. No one to call her own and Surya is the only person she can really speak to so he unfortunately is where she also lets her frustration out. It sucks for him but also he also took on that responsibility. He’s doing a pretty good job so far, he’s a bit of the angry rude type but he’s being patient with Imlie.

It’s kind of nice to see Imlie be the one that’s taken care of for once, she’s usually the one going around doing sacrifices and running her blood dry for others.

@bold:- This is the gist of the whole thing. Yes we endure harsher things if it comes from our family but are ever ready to point out the flaws if it comes from others.

You all are putting your thought so well in articulated manner 👏 that I am having inferiority complexity for not adding anything to the discourse .

Actually I am liking this imlie. Let her be the one in the relationship to be taken care of, receive love even if she cannot give back the love.

Frankly speaking this is really a hisaab barabar kind of equation for surya… if imlie lost out on her love due to him, then he also giving up his love and not being able to get her , kind of makes it a very hisaab barabar kind of thing. Of course there are ifs and buts to Agastya’s death and it isn’t necessarily surya’s fault, it’s really agar magar ki Dagar only for his death.
