So lets start this ride...

Finding Imlie - the current/future plot.

The scene

Imlie is intoxicated and lost b/w heavy bags of grains in the makeshift kitchen

She's nowhere seen in the party and no one absolutely no one is bothered except this guy who just met her a month or so ago.

He thinks I don't care let her do whatever the hell she wants

Then remembered his own resolution and finally goes to find her

He looks around - fails to find - give up

Finds mobile - Looks around again - fails again - give up

Hears faint voice - Looks around again - fails again - give up

Hears her voice again - Looks around again - finds her.

He's worried about her state as well as reputation - takes care of her while trying to control his own unknown feelings creeping in.

She regains conscience and is shocked to find him to be the one comforting her all along.

Symbolisms:

#1 intoxication = her love for BS (or Stockholm syndrome as I call it)

#2 lying under bags of grains = weight of her past + how it hides the real imlie

#3 makeshift kitchen = her ex-"naukrani" status.

#4 Song = Aryan has progressed to "tum meri zarurat ho" stage of relationship

Conclusions:

This whole scene which i thought was heavily dragged actually gives a lot of insight/explanation on what's been building up last 50 episodes or so... Plus also foreshadows the upcoming 100 episodes or so... (Might be longer- it'll be a treat to watch)

#1 explains imlie's BS jaap i.e. her intoxication - I'm sad to say it's here to stay for some more time and we have to bear with it.

#2 the time and attempts taken by Aryan to find her say that the guy is stubborn and persistent af and wouldn't give up if there's even slightest hope (her calling in very low voice and him still hearing indicates this)

#3 when he finds her his concern/protectiveness takes over and he forgot that he was irritated at her a moment ago. His control during the comforting part is also indicative of keeping his own expectations in backburner for her comfort as the relationship progresses.

#4 imlie seeking comfort in him which means she will subconsciously/unconsciously allow him to take over and help her heal.

#5 many of you pointed out how she came out of intoxication so fast and doubted the drink.... For me that's indicative of the fact that she will eventually come out of her past relationship - wake up in true sense.

#6 he says "padi hui ho" while imlie says "rakhe hue hai" indicative of how she does not think she's in a pathetic state while he can clearly see this (and we can see as well) {ETA: I also feel padi hui ho implies complete ownership of the situation, whereas rake hue hain, Imlie’s she was put in this situation, not necessarily by her own choice. A subtle but important difference in perspectives. - @mltr16}

#7 when she wakes up she's shocked to find that seeks comfort in him - obviously as she'd known him for very less time and still able to trust him. I think the shock is out of realisation of that trust. Also indicative of her resistance to accept this relationship initially after acknowledgement.

#8 in essence they've created this whole plot around how we are set in course to find the old imlie again that PD wali imlie and in this journey Aryan will be her partner who will keep seeking her everytime she's lost in the burden of experiences in her past year.

Hopefully they'll show her educational, career growth along with finding new love.

PS : tagging few people who are inactive/less active in DT and I think will appreciate the art of storytelling.

The baggage thing is so subtly conveyed. Can only seen by those who wish to see.

Aryan despite his own pain is doing everything to take away Imlie's.

Though I loved Adilie up until a point, Aditya always seemed privileged due to the unrequited attention given by imlie. But Aryan - Imlie dynamics are totally different and I absolutely love it!

I also want to see Imlie comforting Aryan. He needs it too 🥺

But the way he's learning from imlie, the way he's looking out for her and his own family keeping his life aside, he's a keeper man, just like Imlie.

I digress, I think aryan is 28-29 yo, can I have him?☺️

It leads me to think 2 things : 1) until Imlie is available to acknowledge Aru’s tears and “dry” them - we will not see her experiencing emotional investment. 2) I don’t think she was only crying for BS when she walked away, I think she was also upset that Aru is slowly slowly letting her be okay with not revolving around Adi. She’s afraid of letting go of what she knows and what she’s comfortable with. Imlie will feel anguish the moment she recognizes any sort of warm, more-than-friendly, emotions for Aryan

Her voice had a panicked tone that the earlier call at the bar did not. That time she was super conversational. After the bar she had that lori encounter with Aryan, after which she immediately picked up her phone saying BS BS in a breathless panic.

Ofcourse, she is always looking at her phone and looking increasingly panicked for very legitimate reasons like she can't get a hold of Aditya and he might be in danger. But as the night wears on she's also getting deeper and deeper with Aryan.

So I'm perplexed.

The night started off with Aryan seeking out Imlie to distract her from Aditya.

Now Imlie is perhaps seeking out Aditya to distract herself from Aryan? And what she thinks she should not be feeling or doing with him?

usually I have the habit of reading the synopsis and then watching the episode. Did the same today. After reading the synopsis and the mention about 'the fight" between aryan and imlie.....I was a bit apprehensive about watching the episode because I don't like watching my favourite characters fight against each other. But I watched it ,making up my mind that if the fight turns ot to be nasty I'll stop watching and continue when things are rosy again. But wait .....

First the planned mask matching

Then the fight, to me it seemed more like a romantic one ....it wasn't a fierceful one.....you should take a look at how he was looking at imlie when she jumped upon him....that fight itself was....... probably cute.....or I don't exactly know how to describe it but not like anything that I expected... I'm actually received that the fire outbreak was a minor one and that's the reason imlie was pushing arpi to help herself.....

Now ,my favourite line- mujhe darr lag rah h..... what if I hurt you?.........tum mujhe kabhi hurt nahi kar sakat....

Jai sita maiya bolna tha kya🥰🥰🤣🤣....Bhai aru ...itne naadaan ho tum....haayeee...

Sorry for the long post....just felt like sharing what I felt😅

Just wanted to get some initial thoughts down before I start catching up.

I loved the dance sequence. I like that it wasn’t clear that it was someone’s dream. It felt like they were both caught up in the moment and they were both in that “dream” dance. I think that Imlie was really affected by it, thus the tear. And then Aryan’s tear for the same reason, being affected by her.

Okay, and wow. I will take all the dance numbers between these two, especially if they’re like this. They move together SO beautifully! I knew she could dance, we’ve seen it on the show, and I know FK is a dancer as well, but OMG, the way he glides, the way they moved together, the ease with which he lifted her, it was all so beautiful to watch. It was so fluid and beautiful. Sometimes these ITV dances can be so stilted, but not these two. Again, their chemistry is off the charts. I don’t know how we’ll handle it when they’re actually in love on the show.

Fighting, dancing, having a simple conversation, they’re electric.

Alright, the injury scene. I loved that so much in a completely different way. First he was like good, serves you right to get a kink in your neck. Then, when he thought she might have actually hurt herself, the concern and worry. The fear that he would hurt her more. But then, in the face of that - her absolute faith that he could never hurt her. I loved her joking with him and his hesitancy. It was very couple-y, the whole interaction. A preview of what their relationship will be like, between all the passionate moments of course.

Now let’s get to the fight sequence. It just went on too long. It was fine, it was balanced, I get it. But there’s a literal fire raging. The fear of it spreading and causing serious damage aside, why are all the people just standing around. Isn’t smoke inhalation also an issue?! That’s also serious business. And how large is this hall, and how far are they from the fire?! It’s all so ridiculous. I liked some of their back and forth dialogue but again, just went on. It was too drawn out and just too over the top, and it continues tomorrow! I mean, Arylie rolling around on the ground - sounds great, but the context here, not so great.

And then tomorrow it continues and what a way 🤦🏽‍♀️ Now we’ve got proper weapons involved. I’m too tired right now to get into the potential symbolism of it all tonight, but I see it. I’m sure some of you will (or already have) talked about it.

All I want now is for Imlie to completely forget about BS (especially because while everyone is worried about him he’s literally just passed out drunk) and worry and tend to the wound she gave Aryan. In my dream world (which means this will never happen) I imagine him telling her why fire is a trigger for him and his sister, and them having an honest conversation.

Alright, off to read others’ takes.

Yes. I felt the way it was done was left ambiguous for a reason. I think it was to show how impacted they were by the performance.

Especially if you consider that in “reality” she is focused completely on him during this dance.

I loved that part!! Where he was like OMG, it went wrong. And in all fairness she did tell him he needed to say Jai Sita Maiyya and he didn’t initially lol
