I will give my pov as to why Adi started the truth reveal by declaring his love for Imlie.

1) The love that he has experienced for Imlie & Imlie's love for him is the biggest truth of his life.

Adi is now firmly on the side of this marriage as he has fallen in love with Imlie. So he might not have wanted to give Malini a chance to doubt on the validity of his marriage to Imlie. Hence he began the truth reveal by disclosing that he loves Imlie first.

So in whatever circumstances their marriage might have occurred, no one should try to give him the same reasons regarding the validity of their marriage that he himself used to do earlier because ultimately he loves Imlie & he was married to her first.

4) Adi might have thought Malini might faint once again like last time when he had told her the truth of his marriage with Imlie so bluntly. Hence he tried to reveal the truth by telling her about his love for Imlie first😆.

🤣 Really he might not have wanted to run the risk that Malini might faint immediately. So better reveal the truth of his & Imlie's love before she goes into a faint😆.

Yes ...I think it has been 6 to 7 months only since their marriage😆. But in this short time Malini has managed to leave her sasural & go to her mayka twice & also has committed suicide once.

Yeh multiple EMAs ka point Malini has brought up just to demean Adi. She has always been the suspicious one in the relationship & was expecting that Adi might cheat on her always. It is only with Imlie that Adi has given her reasons to actually suspect & now when he has revealed that he indeed has fallen in love with Imlie, she is just vomiting out her own suspicious beliefs about Adi that she has always had.

Also it is to diminish the importance of Imlie in Adi's life that she is one of the many flings that Adi might have had but she is his actual wife. You see how she wants to establish the power position in the fight😆.
